Is there anything more pointless, offensive, and stupid than protesting the national anthem? At this point, people who do this need to be told to just leave. Go find a country you like.

Bluefield College Students Protest During National Anthem
During the playing of the national anthem before today’s Bluefield College Football game, students protested by kneeling underneath the flag pole at Mitchell Stadium.
This protest comes just two days after Bluefield College President Dr. David Olive suspended members of the Men’s Basketball team and forfeited a game for kneeling during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Stanley Christian, a member of the men’s basketball team, was there and kneeled.
“The only way we are going to get change is if we all come together,” said Christian. “[Bluefield College] wants to preach unity, we wear unity on the back of our warmups. So what’s more unified than coming as a student body to make change?”
Cierra Cook, a member of the women’s basketball team, believes that the focus shouldn’t be on the flag, but on the people.
“Our religion is bigger than the flag,” Cook said. “We should all just stand together. I feel that some people praise the flag than they praise each other. We are all equal.”
