Brian Williams Mocks McCarthy, Trump Meeting With a Jerry Maguire Clip
Once again the elites show their disconnect from regular Americans.
Top-notch and trustworthy MSNBC “journalist” Brian Williams claimed he had an exclusive video of President Donald Trump meeting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
It was a clip from Jerry Maguire where Jerry told Dorothy she completes him. She responded, “You had me at hello.”
BUT UNITY OR SOMETHING.
McCarthy visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, FL. No one knows why, but some think it was to make amends since McCarthy said on the House floor Trump has some responsibility for the Capitol Hill riots.
Williams showed the clips to guests Baratunde Thurston and Bill Kristol.

“Obviously we have rolled the wrong clip,” Williams deadpanned, as his guests laughed. “We were sold a bill of goods here,” he added. “I thought this was going to be of the McCarthy and Trump meeting and someone’s gonna be, of course, in big trouble.”
Williams then asked Thurston about McCarthy’s intentions, saying he’d gone “down to kiss the ring, and God knows what else, meeting with the deposed former president in his underdecorated Florida home.”
“Is that because this is the only game they have, they badly need his supporters and the thing they fear the most is having his supporters turn against them?” Williams continued.
“Brian, I’m still recovering from the video clip,” Thurston replied. “Thank you and I’m mad at you right now for making me break so much.”
Honestly, this would be funny if they weren’t smug about it. It’s also not amusing coming from Williams, who has a history of making up crap. If he was doing it as a way to also make fun of himself, okay, yeah, I could laugh at that.
But we know Williams did not do that. We also know Williams never will because his arrogance stinks up the entire room.
Keep it up, D.C. elites. This is how we got Trump in 2016.

The Trump-McCarthy meeting illustrates perfectly the Achilles heel of his presidency: to carry out his agenda Trump was dependent on the GOP leadership that utterly hated him.

*All* interactions between a President and their fellow party members in the Legislative branches have difficulties. (Except the Dems seem to discuss “Should we spend one or two trillion dollars? Oh, heck, make it three.”)
The more fiscally conservative the President, the more he will clash with whatever party, since the objective of Legislative branch turkeys is to spend vast sums of cash to look good for their constituents and to collect kickbacks… um, I mean political contributions from large political donors.
This explains why the Biden/Dem relationship looks somewhat X-rated, and the Trump/Republican relationship was so strained.
