COVID-19 And The Great Reset: Global Effort “to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies”

Justin Haskins: “the Great Reset is perhaps the biggest danger to capitalism and individual rights since the collapse of the Soviet Union”

https://youtu.be/VHRkkeecg7c

The following quote on liberty has been attributed to Benjamin Franklin:

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Quite a few people today appear to have opted to give up a great deal of their liberty for what they perceive as safety, yet few of them are starving or especially threatened. What they seem to want is absolute safety or something close to it, as so many people’s reaction to COVID has demonstrated.

The COVID pandemic was a big test of an approach called The Great Reset, and the reaction to the rules promulgated in response to the disease has led The Great Reset’s leftist boosters to feel that they can go ahead without too much objection. The Great Reset is no shadowy conspiracy theory, either; its basic outline is right out there in the open. See this from the World Economic Forum (WEF), September 2020 [emphasis mine]:

THE CONTEXT

The Covid-19 crisis, and the political, economic and social disruptions it has caused, is fundamentally changing the traditional context for decision-making. The inconsistencies, inadequacies and contradictions of multiple systems –from health and financial to energy and education – are more exposed than ever amidst a global context of concern for lives, livelihoods and the planet. Leaders find themselves at a historic crossroads, managing short-term pressures against medium- and long-term uncertainties.

Note also the emphasis on needing to replace those messy multiple systems with some sort of global approach [emphasis mine]:

THE OPPORTUNITY

As we enter a unique window of opportunity to shape the recovery, this initiative will offer insights to help inform all those determining the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons. Drawing from the vision and vast expertise of the leaders engaged across the Forum’s communities, the Great Reset initiative has a set of dimensions to build a new social contract that honours the dignity of every human being.

Beware the elites and their “vast expertise.” They never, never let a crisis go to waste:

COVID-19 lockdowns may be gradually easing, but anxiety about the world’s social and economic prospects is only intensifying. There is good reason to worry: a sharp economic downturn has already begun, and we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But, while this outcome is likely, it is not unavoidable.

But the reaction to COVID from the world community has been a major cause of that downturn, and now even if COVID wanes (or as a vaccine is distributed), the left is poised to take advantage of the economic downturn (or fear of a downturn) that they helped create.

This next part is an important summary of the goal:

To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a “Great Reset” of capitalism.

If you had any lingering doubts about the leftist background to this, please leave those doubts behind.

More [emphasis mine]:

…[O]ne silver lining of the pandemic is that it has shown how quickly we can make radical changes to our lifestyles. Almost instantly, the crisis forced businesses and individuals to abandon practices long claimed to be essential, from frequent air travel to working in an office.

Likewise, populations have overwhelmingly shown a willingness to make sacrifices…And many companies have stepped up…

Clearly, the will to build a better society does exist. We must use it to secure the Great Reset that we so badly need. That will require stronger and more effective governments, though this does not imply an ideological push for bigger ones. And it will demand private-sector engagement every step of the way.

We have already seen the corporations march in lockstep. Make no mistake about it. This is a top-down “reset,” and those on top will get the spoils.

Watch:

Trump must have been such a tremendous 4-year thorn in their sides. No wonder they hate him so much and would do virtually anything to be rid of him.

“The Great Reset” became a popular Google search after Justin Trudeau recently started talking about it and other leaders started using some of its terms, as well. There have been warnings in the past, but they didn’t get much traction. For example, see this from Justin Haskins writing at Fox Business last July:

A radical movement called the Great Reset embraced by some Democrats poses a grave threat to liberty and free markets in the United States and around the world. While former Vice President Joe Biden hasn’t endorsed the movement, his ties to it are growing as he changes his long-held policy views to appease the far-left.

While it hasn’t gained widespread attention, the Great Reset is perhaps the biggest danger to capitalism and individual rights since the collapse of the Soviet Union.

What is the Great Reset? Simply put, it’s a growing movement backed by many of the world’s most powerful business leaders, government officials and left-wing activists that aims to “push the reset button” on the global economy. It would destroy the current capitalist system and replace it with progressive and modern socialist systems, with a special emphasis placed on eco-socialist policies like those contained in the Green New Deal.

The left is nothing if not coordinated, ruthless, and relentless. The right is full of rank amateurs by comparison.

And whether Joe himself is fully onboard, or whether it’s just his handlers, it really doesn’t matter. The effect will be the same.

Wouldn’t put it past Leftists to have purposely caused some of the Covid-19 deaths to help keep up the scare.

That’s conspiracy crap. They didn’t intentionally ’cause’ deaths. It was totally unnecessary.

All they had to do to juice the stats was reclassify everything as a Coronavirus death.

As many, MANY people have pointed out, its pretty shocking that as the alleged C19 deaths increased, people have magically ceased dying of pneumonia, the regular flu, and any of a dozen other causes.

Oh wait, it’s not surprising at all.

Holomodor, cultural revolution, gulags, holocaust. Yup. The vile, violent left is a trustworthy stalwart for that whole ‘didn’t intentionally’ thang.

As some honest physicians have noted from fairly early on, the Wuhan ChiCom Flu has an attribute that coincides with Prostate Cancer in men. Many men die with Prostate Cancer, an extremely small group of men die of Prostate Cancer. And so it is with the Wuhan ChiCom Flu. which we can understand if we just look to the CDC guidance for completion of death certificates which specify when a person’s death certificate should include a Wuhan ChiCom Flu component and even where on the Death Certificate the Flu citation should be placed (easier to spot it for the death estimate from CDC. If a person was tested for the virus and tested positive, they Flu is to be placed on the Death Certificate in last place of the contributing factors. Never mind that there are false positives (and likely negatives to be honest). And if the patient wasn’t tested while breathing, no problem – just test them after death. And if the patient wasn’t tested at all, alive or dead – no prob, bro. If the doctor believes the patient had the Flu, put that “diagnosis” down, always in last place. This is how we get a person who died in a motorcycle accident and a person who died of a Heroin OD listed as deaths attributable to the Wuhan ChiCom Flu.

Of course they did! Life is cheap to leftists, in particular, Communist China.

They started germ warfare to break the West and influence the US election, and provide a way for Western fascist to impose their will on free nations. Whitmer, Cuomo, Newsom, Di Blasio, Garcetti – these are goddam maniacs, and just the people to do the left’s bidding.

China is doing great now, btw. Even their movie theaters are open. And Le Bron James is welcome to come play.

    Goddam it: wake up, everybody.

Remember that the Wuhan Virology Institute was funded through WHO with US dollars. They were paid to do GAIN OF FUNCTION experiments coordinated with US medical schools. It is real andromeda strain stuff. And they have stuff much nastier than the virus that escaped.

      Fyi

Another EO issued by President Trump related to Christmas Eve. This year the President is giving all US government employees Christmas Eve off as a holiday. This holiday went to all employees of the government except those related to “National Security, Defense or other public need.” This also makes the holiday weekend a four-day weekend instead of three.

      Gateway pundit

Presidents have been doing that for decades. Guess AllahP hasn’t been a sentient being in the US very long, hasn’t been paying attention* or is a NT hack.

        * I’ve told all our children they will never be so poor as to be unable to pay attention.

    Cuomo.

Confirmed(again): It’s not about a virus. It’s about CONTROL.

Is there something to watch?
Not seeing it. Though I have watched a few others.
Scary stuff.
It’s UN Agendas 21/2030, The Green New Deal/Climate Change Agenda, NWO all tied together.
And Mr. covid vaccine Bill Gates (Not a Dr.) right there in the thick of it, now saying all bars/restaurants should close for 3-4 months.

My 102-yo mother went on today about how “we” needed a “smart man at the top” who knew how to redistribute all the food and the vaccines so that “everybody will get some.”
    I said, “So, Stalin?”
It really puts a strain on family relationships when you discover that liberty isn’t even on a parent’s radar screen, and her fervent dream is to live under a dictator.
“But a good one,” she qualifies. Yes, I understand there’s a wide selection of those available at Costco now.

      We have one, President Trump

No one, no one could have done what this man did for all of us

      Vaccine in months, 95% effective

      PPE’s, ventilators

      Complicated stuff, complicated stuff…

And he is t a dictator

“Almost instantly, the crisis armed totalitarians forced businesses and individuals to abandon practices long claimed to be essential, from frequent air travel to working in an office.”

There, fixed it for you.

“the Great Reset is perhaps the biggest danger to capitalism and individual rights since the collapse of the Soviet Union”

The biggest danger to capitalism was the Supreme Court. Now that we no longer have a Republic, we won’t have capitalism either.

If total deaths in 2020 have not risen from other years, does that mean deaths from other causes have significantly decreased?

Is that the same in Europe? Are their total deaths in 2020 on par with other years?

The globalist re-set crowd are out for themselves and have little concern for the rest.

Exactly. John Hopkins statisticians laid it out plainly but were canceled by the university elites when it didn’t fit the Leftist script they ascribe to religiously. I just dug into the reported data the data the university presented to justify their retraction and yes, deaths from the top five leading causes of death in the U.S. are down in proportion to the 300,000 Covid-attributed deaths. As a matter of fact, 2020 total deaths are below the average 2015-2019 deaths and below three of the five previous years.

This may be the spark that finally leads to the slaughter of the tens of millions of Marxist traitors in this country.

Edward in reply to Paul. | December 14, 2020 at 5:30 pm

In a way I wish I could believe that is correct. I personally don’t wear a mask and didn’t cower in fear of the Wuhan ChiCom Flu (though I am but a couple of years younger than Quid Pro Joe). IF the people had given heed to Ben Franklin’s prescient statement, we would not be in the situation in which we find the country. But instead of the people, or at least the vast majority, telling their elected representatives to FOAD and gone about their business, many followed the example of Quid Pro Joe and hid. Some are finally recognizing the truth that the shutdowns have done nothing to prevent the Flu running rampant through the population, just delayed the inevitable. And the inevitable is, for many people, closely akin to the “common cold” (if not without any symptoms at all).

The US has become a nation of sheep, cowering in fear of a disease which has a survival rate of 99+% for those under 70 and 95+% for those of us over 70.

    “Rugged individuals” – hah.

Globalist neo-Marxists have reworked, repackaged, and rebranded Mao’s Great Leap Forward for today’s international globalist ignorati. They call it The Great Reset.

Same totalitarian socialist objective. On an international scale.

But the reaction to COVID from the world community has been a major cause of that downturn, and now even if COVID wanes (or as a vaccine is distributed), the left is poised to take advantage of the economic downturn (or fear of a downturn) that they helped create.

1 Kings 21:19. “Have you murdered and also inherited?!”

Actually this reminds me of glaziers who used to be notorious for going around at night smashing windows so they’d have business in the morning fixing them.

Georgia Guidestones.

Time to make all Communist Globalists crawl in fear the way ANTIFA is now they are being rolled up.

Antifa Seen Cowering Behind the Police Last Night in DC After Being Confronted by the Proud Boys

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/12/police-protecting-antifa-washington-dc-last-night-proud-boys-going/

People look back at the 1930’s and 40’s and wonder how anyone could have loaded the concentration camp cattle carts…yet those same people wondering about yesterday wouldnt actually think twice about loading those cattle carts today.

The reality is the vast majority of people today would have happily joined the NAZI party back in the day. All the Chinese Death Kooties has done is highlight just how quickly people would happily turn on their neighbours.

As far as the great reset goes we have not yet begun to fight paraphrasing John Paul Jones. I’m seeing the beginnings of the fight in some locations like the gym in NJ and other areas. One gym owner opened up in spite of massive fines. He didn’t care about fines because he didn’t have the money anyway. That’s called fighting to the bitter end.

    henrybowman in reply to r2468. | December 14, 2020 at 10:31 pm

Every time I read something like this, I am amazed at the insight contained in the song lyric:
“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.”

Chinese democracy is modelled on the Chinese finger trap.

The Great Reset is the imposition of the fundamentalist belief system of the Church of Woke upon the world … and their banal catechism is already the default instruction set of our society, even in the minds of millions who would not consider themselves members of that sect.

I refer to that catechism as the Seven Assumptions of the Comfortably Numb:

ASSUMPTION ONE: also known as The Biggest Lie of All: All you need to do is show up for work or go to school; we have experts who have the answers to your housing needs, your health care needs, your financial needs … no need to plan for your future or actively manage your career, since we can do a better job than you can; just trust us to solve those problems FOR you.

ASSUMPTION TWO: “Experts” and “leaders” are assumed to be functionally omniscient, to the degree that they can be trusted to make decisions for us at an individual level, better than we can ourselves.

ASSUMPTION THREE: Credentials, position, popularity, and presentation skills are reliable indicators of the intellect necessary to be an “expert” or “leader”. Conversely, the lack of such indicators is prima facie evidence of inferior intellect, and such a person and their ideas should be summarily dismissed as irrelevant to any discussion.

ASSUMPTION FOUR: The “Non-profit” are inherently virtuous, while the for-profit can NEVER be trusted and must be highly restrained to protect the rest of us.

ASSUMPTION FIVE: The opportunity for human error in decision-making can be diminished to practically zero, if enough rules are applied to “guide” that decision-making.

ASSUMPTION SIX: Ordinary people neither have the resources, nor the intellect, nor the virtue, to help themselves – or each other – in the “right” ways. Only “experts” and “leaders” can provide such help, and should be empowered with the resources and monopoly on coercive force held by the government to do so.

ASSUMPTION SEVEN: Establishing the “common good”, as defined at the current moment by our “experts” and “leaders”, is the primary mission of public institutions, particularly our government.

This set of assumptions has led millions upon millions away from respect for and reliance upon individual insight, diligence, compassion, and initiative – IMO the secret sauce of all human advancement, short of Divine intervention – in favor of outsourcing the exercise of those attributes to an elite few whose credentials, positions, popularity, and/or presentation skills give them the appearance of being smarter and wiser and more “caring” than the rest of us.

This is the problem behind the problems.

Under these assumptions, ordinary people are expected to simply live out our lives, going to school or work day after day, expecting that elite to solve our problems – at all levels, ranging from the national right down to the individual – FOR us, as though our common sense and the insights derived from being close to the problem and directly facing the consequences count for nothing …

… when in fact the elites we are expected to put total trust in are as human and failure-prone as the rest of us, and can’t even tell an individual apart from a statistic from their pedestals. Were they honest, these elites would be sounding a lot like Otter in Animal House when he told Flounder “You f___d up. You trusted us” … and admit that they have viewed the rest of us as “infants, imbeciles and domestic animals” as C. S. Lewis described their busybody views.

Just like another evil in our past, the evil of self-righteous postmodernism is enabled by banality … a banality of passive acceptance; acceptance that these Seven Assumptions are simply The Way Things Are and beyond the need to question … even in the minds of many who consider themselves conservative and libertarian, to the point that the influencers within those factions can’t seem to make a coherent case to reject this paradigm even as they espouse respect for individual liberty.

We are just treating the symptoms if we as a civilization don’t reverse this way of thinking … in the face of elites who seek to have us benefit from their alleged wisdom.

Good and hard. Like never before.

“To achieve a better outcome, the world must…”
