I’ve been telling my kids about Asian carp in the Illinois river for years; enterprising rednecks have made a business of them by combining fishing and bow-hunting. Outboard motors stir them up and they jump out of the water near the boat – where hunters shoot them out of the air with cross bows and line-tethered arrows.
As for addressing the problem, when I lived in a small community near the Illinois river, public meetings were held about building a fish processing plant to harvest the carp and render them for their oil (?). They’re not a problem that government needs to address, when business will find a way to profit from them.

And bigger than all the pork on this side of the pig (most of which was already buried in Mnuchin’s budget) is a $200 billion bonus tax break for big Wall Street businesses who took PPP aid! And the three-martini lunch tax break is back too!
