Biden Annouces He Will Sign ‘Executive Order to Require Masks Everywhere’ He Can

Biden Annouces He Will Sign ‘Executive Order to Require Masks Everywhere’ He Can

Because wearing masks for the past 9 months has slowed it down so well.

https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1336686791760502785

So apparently Joe Biden has not been around these past nine months because he thinks masks will magically work during the first 100 days of his administration.

My first 100 days is going to require, I’m going to ask for a masking plan.

Everyone, for the first 100 days of my administration, to wear a mask. It will start with my signing an order on day one to require masks, where I can under the law, like federal buildings, interstate travel, trains, and buses.

I’ll be working with governors and mayors to do the same in their states and their cities. We’re going to require masks wherever possible, but this goes beyond government action.

And so, as a new president, I’m going to speak directly to the American people, and say what I’m saying now: we need your help. Wear a mask for just 100 days.

It’s the easiest thing you can do to reduce COVID cases, hospitalizations, and death.

Help yourself, your family, and your community.

Whatever your politics or point of view – mask up for 100 days once we take office. One hundred days to make a difference.

It’s not a political statement – it’s a patriotic act.

It won’t be the end of our efforts, but it’s a necessary and easy beginning, an easy start.

We have been wearing masks for 75% of 2020. Everywhere I go everyone is wearing a mask. Could it be possible that other behaviors have contributed to the outbreaks? You know, maybe, hygiene? I do not wear jewelry because I am obsessed with washing my hands.

Plus, masks are already required in the places he mentions.

I doubt he will get very far with this EO. There are only so many places he can mandate it without being a total dictator.

But politicians gonna be politicians. It’s all theater to give the illusion he is *doing something.*

Bumbling Biden Doesn’t Know the Cabinet Office or Name of Official He’s ‘Nominating’ – Botches Xavier Becerra’s Name (VIDEO)

The mask mandate has nothing to do with the virus.

Remember, a liberal is someone who doesn’t care what you do as long as it’s mandatory

Scott Adams outlined Biden’s plan for Covid 19.

1. Use Trump’s vaccines
2. Use Trump’s ventilators and PPE
3. Issue some half-hearted mask mandate.

And, Nancy Pelosi is passing Covid relief that gives free
GOING OUT OF BUSINESS signs to small business owners.

Will some Joe Arpaio wanna-be put me in a tent camp and feed me green bologna sandwiches for failure to comply?

Performance art for those that virtue signal or have the name Karen.

Joe is even slurrier today than usual.

It remains entirely possible that Biden’s “title” never gets higher the “President-elect”. If the legal efforts fail or civil warfare doesn’t break out to thwart it, we may witness to Comma-la Harris being sworn-in as the 46th President.

The Friendly Grizzly | December 9, 2020 at 1:47 pm

He seems to think executive orders are Royal Decrees.

No, that he doesn’t. He’s not that far gone yet. Read what he said: He clearly recognizes that (if and when he becomes president) his power will be limited to places that are directly under his control, such as federal buildings (because he would be the executive branch of the USA, and thus the property owner) and interstate transport (because Congress, which has the power to regulate it, has authorized him to make such rules). He recognizes that for other places he has to persuade state and local governments to make whatever orders they can, and even that won’t cover everywhere. Hence his polite request to people to voluntarily wear these face diapers.

If I believed it would be 100 days and done, I might briefly have idly considered complying with his request, so long as it’s worded politely. But I don’t believe that, so there’s no way I will comply if it’s voluntary, or if the police refuse to enforce it.

Actually, I could see the Harris administration try to make this mask mandate happen everywhere by (say) withholding Federal highway funds for states that refuse to enforce the order for “interstate travel” (presumably this means interstate highways, but the proposed order is so vague that is not clear).

But as I have said before, this is probably just a meaningless gesture so the Harris administration can move the Wuflu off the front pages and get down to the more serious business of rigging the election system so they cannot possibly lose another election (hello amnesty for illegals, nation-wide ballot harvesting and universal vote by mail).

“…federal buildings, interstate travel, trains, and buses.”

Ok, Federal buildings I can see.
Interstate travel… that can be warped in so many ways
Trains, again, *I’m* going to wear one in the Amtrak germ tubes
Buses… um. Pretty sure he can’t enforce that on city/school/local buses, so we’re talking Greyhound. Again, I can see that

So the fizzing fuse in the mix is ‘interstate travel’ which I presume will be regulated just like ‘interstate commerce’ so if you’re walking to the end of the block, you’re engaging in it so we can toss you in jail. Sound about right?

How about demand people not drink alcohol for 100 days? Or eat carbohydrates? Or force them to do 100 pushups a day for 100 days? Or demand that they drive 15 mph under the speed limit? The problem with the COVID authoritarian madness is that they have no limiting factor.

One step at a time. Don’t worry. They’re planning such things. The totalitarians only need a little more time and a few more stolen elections.

Fraudulent Loser can sign anything he wants. I will not comply.

Another unconstitutional edict to mock and ignore.

Milhouse in reply to Pasadena Phil. | December 9, 2020 at 2:06 pm

It’s not unconstitutional if it’s limited to federal property and interstate transport.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Milhouse. | December 9, 2020 at 3:26 pm

In today’s climate? That’s a mighty big “if”.

felixrigidus in reply to Milhouse. | December 11, 2020 at 5:15 pm

If thousands of private citizens immediately sue and ask for a suspension of that EO there will be one or two judges that will issue a nationwide injunction stopping Bidens unconstitutional and illegal EO.
It is time that non-leftists start using the tactics of the left against the left.

Does he think he’s the Boss of me?

On day 1 of his placeholder status I will tell him to F-off!

Of course the Harris Administration will do this! And after 100 days (no matter how little cooperation they get from the citizens, states and local governments) the Communists and the Joseph Goebbels media will declare the Wuflu crisis “over” and the tech giants will start taking down videos, website and Twitter accounts that continue to report deaths and hospitalizations.

Officially there will be no COVID-19 deaths in Soviet Amerika, just as there is no starvation and mass incarceration in North Korea.

And all the other causes of death that have miraculously disappeared in the last year will come roaring back.

So what you are saying is that someone with the Wuflu who (say) dies from a heart attack will have the source of death listed as “heart attack”?

(I know personally of a local case of someone in hospice care with Alzheimer’s and diabetes who was listed as a COVID-19 death by the county health department. I wonder how many more there have been.)

“”I wonder how many more there have been.””

Just going by what’s happened locally, pretty much everybody who was in a nursing home or on hospice care when they died..

FWIW, the median life span for a male entering a nursing home is 3-4 months and for a female the median life span is approx 8 months. The average life span is approx 12 months due to the few that enter hospice for long term health problems. This data is from a 2010 study

The main point is that people move into nursing homes to die.

As unfortunate as it is, Covid has only knocked off 1-2 months of their remaining life span, not decades or even years.

Not that obvious. They’re subtle. Just like changing the definition of obese suddenly started a giant obesity epidemic, changing the definition of a C-19 death will show Joe Biden striding into office and the numbers plummeting to near zero. All hail our hero. Just step around the bodies.

Since this is all about science let’s see it.

“Masks” are actually making the situation worse in my opinion.

For one thing, most people aren’t actually wearing the type of masks with any hope of stopping a virus, they are wearing cloth face coverings. Secondly, how many of those people even wearing medical masks re-use them time after time and never disinfect them? Thirdly, how many people’s masks are properly fitted and they are wearing them properly?

It’s all about feelings. Wearing face coverings make people FEEL like they’re doing something to protect themselves and others. It’s almost comical, I don’t wear a face covering unless flat out told if I don’t I’ll be kicked out. I constantly see people wearing face coverings brushing past each other or standing within touching distance of fellow mask wearers, but when I approach while not wearing a mask, they all scatter like I’ve got the plague or something (good, keep your distance from me).

Um…hello…the 6 foot social distancing rule is a logical AND function, not an OR. The studies I’ve seen (and the medical people I trust) tell me that keeping distance and frequent hand washing are the two most critical factors in stopping the spread of viruses.

The mask mandates have provided a false sense of security so that people wearing face coverings(which provide little or no protection) eschew the distance and hand-washing guidelines (which provide the most protection).

And then they wonder why the virus is still spreading.

Duh.

Me as well. I keep a stash of surgical masks in every vehicle but since I only wear one when entering a store, I generally just toss it on the seat until the next trip. I wouldn’t do that with my stash of N95 masks but I’m not going to waste them with a quick in and out at the grocery store (at 9PM to avoid the lines to enter our governor created). The loop mask isn’t going to prevent infection from a viral agent but I refuse to wear the cloth face diapers. Those nasty things need to be treated like hazardous waste.

If Embezzler-Traitor Biden and the Super-Spreader Harris are ‘sworn in’ to office, they will be considered illegitimate by half the nation.

Half the nation will consider anyone they appoint and anything they do illegitimate.

Postoperative wound infections and surgical face masks: a controlled study

Effectiveness of Adding a Mask Recommendation to Other Public Health Measures to Prevent SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Danish Mask Wearers

Physical interventions to interrupt or reduce the spread of respiratory viruses

On the positive side, the belief in mask efficacy justifies avoiding physically isolating individuals with different risk profiles, this enabling shared/shifted liability and reduced burdens on government, businesses, and protesters; and, ironically, tragically, normalizes social distancing.

“We have been wearing masks for 75% of 2020. Everywhere I go everyone is wearing a mask. Could it be possible that other behaviors have contributed to the outbreaks? You know, maybe, hygiene?”

Other factors. Hummm. Such as increased testing and tracing. Still counting every positive test as a COVID “case”. Classifying every respiratory case as a COVID case. And, flat out manufacturing statistics and lying about the number of actual cases.

Six months ago, the CDC was still claiming that 75% of those infected with COVID were asymptomatic. Four months ago, they dropped that number to 40%. Two months ago, they dropped it to 20%. The interesting thing about these changes, is no scientific basis was ever presented for the reduction in asymptomatic cases. The reductions just magically appeared. And, this at a time when the “cases” were supposedly spiking. Huh???

Then we have the CDC statistic that 80% of those diagnosed with COVID were regular mask wearers. Yet, we are still, reportedly, seeing a huge spike in COVID cases, even though mask wearing is nearly universal in this country.

So, what are we supposed to believe? Do masks work or not? Is there really a significant spike in actual COVID cases? Maybe one day we will actually find out.

And so, as a new president, I’m going to speak directly to the American people

“TRUNALIMUNUMAPRZURE!!!”

Really…you sure about that…just because it’s under Federal control doesnt mean our rights turn to vapor

Make me, bitch!

The reality in most places is that you have to wear a mask to enter a store. There’s no science to justify it, but here we are.

The salient point. It doesn’t matter who orders people to wear masks; if you can’t enter a store or other building without one, it’s a de facto mandate.

Okay, I be in Georgia. I go almost all places without a mask.

I was in Georgia back in late August/early September. Every place I went had a sign requesting that masks be worn. If the OWNER of a private business wants me to wear a mask, I’ll put the damned thing on. I’m not going to be that person who makes infringing on the rights of a private property owner their hill to die on.

randian in reply to RandomCrank. | December 9, 2020 at 8:17 pm

Which makes me wonder if pressure will be brought to bear to “incentivize” businesses to mandate masks even if their state or county doesn’t require them, or lifts an existing requirement for them. I expect many of the woke national businesses to keep their mask requirements going.

Yes! Be the first to proudly wear your Biden Ballgag, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
