YouTube Celebrates “Unthanksgiving” Instead of Thanksgiving

Big tech has become trite and tiresome. Instead of honoring Thanksgiving (a holiday made national holiday by Abraham Lincoln, for crying out loud), the tech giant celebrated “Unthanksgiving” on social media.

Because colonialism blah blah blah.

From YouTube’s official Twitter account:

No mention of Thanksgiving at all. I’m waiting for the originalists to go even further and tell me it’s time to cede Texas to rattlesnakes, cattle, deer, and prairie dogs. Because you know that’s next here.

For a palette cleanser, check out George Washington’s 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation, which when written, declared Thursday, November 26 as a day of gratitude and thanksgiving to our Creator (same as this year!)
