States are listed in alphabetical order.
Democrats need to pick 4 seats in order to regain control of the Senate.

Still not called.

This is a pickup for Republicans.

Arizona Special
This is a GOP loss, predictable one:
Like I said all year, McSally is McCain In A Skirt. Terrible candidate. #ConInc double-talker. Any conservative who is shocked by AZ going for Kelly and Biden has been snoozing. GOP establishment swamp is overflowing there. https://t.co/1ljund7oGk

Colorado
This is just disappointing. This is a loss for Republicans with former Governor Hickenlooper knocking out Sen. Corey Gardner. Gardner was down and knew voting to confirm ACB might do him in, and he did it anyway. If there’s a way to go out, that’s it.
?ELECTION PROJECTION!
Democrat John Hickenlooper is the projected winner in the state of Colorado. This is the first Democratic pickup in the US Senate tonight.

Kansas
The AP just called the Kansas Senate GOP primary for Roger Marshall. Democrats had hoped a win for conservative firebrand Kris Kobach would help make the seat competitive for the first time since the 1930s.

Would you, when you update, clarify if they have swapped the party in that state?
I’m not understanding the Georgia Special. What’s happening?
Johnny Isakson was elected in 2016. He resigned in 2019. That seat normally wouldn’t have an election until 2022. But there was an appointed Senator for 2020, and under Georgia law, that appointed senator is up for her first election today. So are 50 billion other candidates because there is no primary. If no one gets 50%, then the top two vote getters today will run in ANOTHER election the first week of Jan. 2021. And then the winner of that will serve a six-year term.
I think that’s how this mess works, maybe a Georgia Peach can correct any mistakes.
Thanks, Colonel
I live here, and you’re correct as far as I can figure out. I don’t know why it’s not done normally, it’s not as if there wasn’t plenty of time, but I’ve only lived here 20 years or so and therefore there’s a lot I don’t understand about how things work here.
The winner will not serve six years. How could they? That would put both of Georgia’s senators on the same schedule, which is of course impossible. The winner will serve the rest of Isakson’s term, which expires on Jan 3, 2023
Correct, thank you
I hope we get rid of DickHead Durbin.
He’s there as long as he wants to be.
I wish, but he and Madigan will either die in office or be indicted–they’ll never leave voluntarily.
I’m in the Florida panhandle, aka LA (lower Alabama), and local news is saying Tommy Tuberville won in Al Senate race. Nationals aren’t calling it yet, so take that for what it’s worth.
Here that James won Michigan. Can’t find it, but this is great news
Looks like Tommy Tuberville won!
Interesting that they called Cornyn in Texas before the polls closed.
They did? I didn’t see anything on calling it for him till after 9, and the polls closed mostly at 8, a very few at 9.
I think they called it at 7:52, according to the MSNBC tweet above.
I think we are going to lose McSally. I think the net is going to be equal so we should still have a 3 person majority.
That will be a shame if it holds.
Why is it they deny to call States for Trump when the numbers are there?
Never a doubt.
Having serious second thoughts about moving to AZ now. Not because McSally lost (awful candidate) but because the Republicans there are as RINO as you get. Except for Paul Gosar who is rock solid. But that would be like moving to CA because of Devon Nunes. One good congressman can’t save a state.
Voting fraud aside, McSally in AZ will have the dubious distinction of having lost two different US Senate seats in a two year period (in both cases she was the iINCUMBENT). I don’t think that has ever happened before. Maybe now after having deliberately thrown away both Senate seats the AZ GOPe will stop trying to drag McSally across the finish line and try picking someone who is not guaranteed to lose?
McCain, Flake, McSally, Ducey – a veritable Murderer’s Row of GOPe buffoonery and incompetence.
Like I said in an earlier post, he Senate can stop a lot of things, but not an overwhelming deluge of illegal immigrants. It is over. Bye now, America.
Pasadena Phil, forget Arizona, come to Texas.
