Smith College Offers Course on ‘White Supremacy in the Age of Trump’

“course is taught within the Women and Gender Studies Department”

This is one of the reasons Democrats want college to be free. So they can teach students to hate and fear Republicans.

Campus Reform reports:

College offers “White Supremacy in the Age of Trump” course

Smith College in Massachusetts is offering a course this fall semester called “White Supremacy in the Age of Trump.”

The course will explore questions such as “is White Supremacy a permanent feature of race in contemporary U.S. society?” and “how does one appropriately respond to its ideology and political power in the Age of Trump?”

Students will examine “the relationship between white supremacy and white privilege,” as well as “analyze the history, prevalence, and current manifestations of the white supremacist movement,” and learn “how to build a human rights movement,” which includes “reproductive justice,” so that students can “counter the white supremacist movement in the U.S.”

The goal of the course, according to the course description, is “to develop the capacity to understand the range of possible responses to white supremacy, both its legal and extralegal forms.”

This course is taught within the Women and Gender Studies Department, and the instructor is Loretta Ross, a pro-abortion activist and former activist-in-residence at Smith who and once claimed that abortion can be a “joyful experience when achieving reproductive justice through human rights.”

In an interview with Smith College, Ross talked about her experience working with a counter-hate group and her inspiration for the course.

“former activist-in-residence”

THIS is a huge part of what’s wrong with our culture. Activism is honored and even institutionalized for it’s own sake, without regard to results, or common sense.

Murdering unborn (and just-born) children is now “reproductive justice”?

This Is Why Homeschooling Is So Important…

Women and Gender Studies departments are a joke, hardly anyone wants to take their stuff. That’s why they try to force people to take it by making it required.

I have a kid at a local public college. He took a general education elective to fulfill a requirement; it was a music class. They have an extensive music program at this college, so the music faculty naturally teaches the music classes EXCEPT for this class.

This music class, that fulfilled a diversity requirement (a requirement that’s not about women or gender studies, and the class was called simply “World Music”), was not taught by music faculty, but by a women and gender studies faculty member.

WGS faculty there are literally begging people to take their classes, very few seem to want them. But they get their nose under the tent this way by showing up as teachers of even unrelated topics.

White supremacy as conceived by Smith is racist because it says blacks are inferior and whites must compensate. Built on white guilt and put forth by race hustlers as described by Booker T. Washington way back in 1911.

Smith. Another female-specific “college” that in less PC times would still be called a “finishing school”.

Now that’s stupid.

“One of these days they’re going to remove so much of the ‘hooey’ and the thousands of things the schools have become clogged up with, and we will find that we can educate our broods for about one-tenth of the price and learn ’em something that they might accidentally useafter they escape.”
