I don’t see it. Hyacinth’s issues are very different from Jill’s. And Hyacinth is too stupid to earn a doctorate in whatever Jill’s is in. (I forget what it is, but it surely involved writing a thesis, and Hyacinth couldn’t have managed that.) Also, it wouldn’t take as talented an actress as Patricia Routledge to play Jill Biden.

Huh? Joe didn’t meet Jill until long after his first wife forgot to look left before turning right, and failed her saving throw.
That’s the version of the story that Joe and Jill have both been telling for decades, but according to Jill’s first husband, Delaware businessman Bill Stevenson, it’s not true.
Stevenson wrote in his book that he and his first wife Jill (now Jill Biden) volunteered to work on Joe Biden’s first senate campaign. Stevenson says that he and Jill sometimes worked on the campaign out of the kitchen of the Delaware house that Joe and his first wife Neilia lived in. Stevenson says that both he and Jill met Neilia Biden at that time.
A few months after Joe Biden won his first senate election, Neilia Biden was killed in the car accident. Stevenson says that his wife Jill was spending a lot of time helping Joe Biden and babysitting his kids. About a year after Neilia’s accident, Stevenson began to suspect that his wife and Biden were having an affair when he learned (from his car mechanic) that Joe Biden had brought in Jill’s car to be repaired after Joe and Jill had had a minor accident in it. Jill had not told her husband about the accident, and the mechanic told Stevenson that Joe Biden had been driving the car at the time of the accident. Stevenson became more suspicious when he was going to New Jersey to sign Bruce Springsteen to a contract to appear at Stevenson’s bar, and Jill (who was a big fan of Springsteen) declined to accompany Stevenson on the trip, saying that she had work to do with Biden. Stevenson confronted Jill about the affair at that time, and asked her to move out of their marital home, which she did.
We don’t know when the affair between Jill and Joe Biden started, but we do know that their story of not meeting until years after Neilia’s death is not true.
You can draw your own conclusions about why Joe and Jill decided to lie about the circumstances of when and how they first met, but it has long been rumored in Delaware that their affair began before Neilia’s death.
Even if it’s true that they knew each other, and even if their affair started before his wife’s death (which is pure speculation), it’s still definitely not true that he dumped her.
Why does he lie about it? The same reason he lies about everything else, including slandering the driver into whose path she turned as having been drunk. Because it makes a better story.
I never said Biden dumped his wife. I was just explaining that there is credible evidence that the Bidens met each other before Neilia Biden’s death, and have been lying about that fact for decades.
BTW, when asked to respond to Bill Stevenson’s claims, the Bidens refused to comment. They didn’t deny his story. If he was lying, why not say so? And Stevenson does not appear to have any grudge against Jill Biden, whom he says he still likes and thinks will make a great first lady.

By default that means you were defending the claim. If you didn’t mean to do so but only to correct a detail of my challenge, you didn’t make that clear. Sorry.
In the new Orwellian world, as seen through Democratic lenses, indecency means decency, especially when it involves Democrats and their leader, Biden.
The empathy and decency schtick that Democrats practice is simply a canard.

In my final tour in Iraq I was, at one point, very much against my will, serving at/on Liberty; a very large Fobbit base. We were visited by Jill Biden.
I was, for some reason, included in receiving the briefings from her ‘handlers’ that she was to be addressed as ‘Doctor Biden’. Without fail, upon pain of punishment. Jill Biden has an EdD and a very large sense of self importance.

Sorry but I have to say it. If Jill Biden valued decency, she would have sent Joe to a retirement home memory care unit and never ever would have let him run for president like this.
Of course decency is on the ballot. There are, depending on your particular district, up to a couple of dozen Republicans listed. Not that they’re all that decent, but such things are relative in the political world.
Jill, let’s have a conversation about the decency of subjecting a clearly unwell old man to the stress and humiliation of a doomed presidential campaign. He’s your husband, Jill, shouldn’t you have some compassion for him?
