Clearly, former Vice President Joe Biden is struggling cognitively. He’s not sure what office he’s running for, who he’s running with, what year it is, nor can he formulate his own responses without a teleprompter.
No one, not even Biden himself, expects him to run for a second term should he win (or otherwise gain) the presidency, and few believe he will manage to hold out much past the inauguration should he win.
The quiet part is that Americans are voting not for a Biden ticket but for a Kamala Harris ticket, with Biden featuring as the doddering, malleable figurehead to dupe voters into voting for her.
Biden seemed to concede as much when he noted that he picked her because she is ready to lead from “day one.”
Okay, we do want a VP who can serve as president should the need arise from some unforeseen, tragic circumstance. Rarely (ever?) do we have to consider a VP as the actual president from day one of the purported winner’s term. Yet that is the situation in which we apparently find ourselves in 2020.
Never has this been more clear than when Harris herself said as much.

Setting aside the horrors of the “Build Back Better” Green New Deal repackaging, Harris clearly thinks of a Biden-Harris win as the beginning of “a Harris administration.”

I’ll give her props on the “We can’t afford to sit this out” part, though; truer words have rarely been spoken by a politician on either side of the aisle.
