Professors Planning Strike to Protest ‘Police Violence’

“I would be down as a professor to follow the NBA and Strike for a few days to protest police violence in America”

This is all the left knows how to do. Is anyone else completely tired of protests? It’s constant.

Inside Higher Ed reports:

#ScholarStrike

Three headline-making images from the past week sparked an upcoming strike for racial justice — what could be the biggest collective action by academics in recent memory.

The first scene was Jacob Blake, a Black Kenosha, Wis., resident, being shot seven times in the back by a white police officer while his children watched. The second was Kyle Rittenhouse, a white teenager, being allowed to walk past police, long gun in hand, after he allegedly shot three Kenosha protesters, killing two.

The third image was of players from the Women’s National Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association refusing to play in protest of continued police violence against unarmed Black people.

Anthea Butler, associate professor of religious studies and Africana studies at the University of Pennsylvania, was watching it all unfold.

“I would be down as a professor to follow the NBA and Strike for a few days to protest police violence in America,” she tweeted.

Within a few hours, Butler had a co-organizer, historian Kevin Gannon, director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Grand View University, along with the #ScholarStrike hashtag, a mission statement and a date: Sept. 8 to 9.

Within a few more hours, by midday Thursday, Butler and Gannon had strike commitments from about 600 scholars. The numbers continue to climb.

bummer

Let us hope that these Professors stay out forever.

Virtue signaling, costing them nothing.

By all means, strike! And don’t go back until the dirty capitalist pigs are all in the gulag!

That’ll teach Americans. Because most academics aren’t.

I will go to work and any student that wants to skip class will face the consequences of any academic penalties they incur.

Of course, right now they have full cover to lie and say they “feel ill”.

“I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part.”

Let them protest–that way they won’t have time to write moronic books supporting looting that no one but crazy liberals and NPR will read.

Are the Universities who have these Radical Left Wing Professors on their payroll still going to accept cash handouts from the Federal/State Governments? #CutThemOff

I’m not saying it’s insignificant, but does anyone have any idea where where Grand View University is located. Grand Valley State is in Michigan, but Grand View?

Meanwhile, down here at Briar Patch University, we’re just begging the faculty to please, please not strike!

If they have time to play hookey from their jobs, maybe they don’t need those jobs at all. There is an opening here for Administration if they are brave enough to take action.

You want to demonstrate? Sure, just fill out the paperwork for the time off.
