Yeah, it’s sad really. Biden, if elected, won’t actually be in charge. It will be whoever is running things behind the scenes while Biden is pretty much just a figurehead, one that may not even last a full term given his age and continual decline. Electing Trump would actually be a kindness to Joe at this point, allowing him to retire from public life and just try to enjoy whatever time he has left out of the public eye.
I don’t think he would remain out of the publc eye. The Democrats would trundle him out to blab-blab some talking point they told him to say. It would be every bit as disgusting a spectacle as what Sarah Brady did with her badly damaged husband, Jim.
