Poll Finds 38 Percent of Voters and 20 Percent of Democrats Believe Joe Biden Has Dementia

Joe Biden has always been a walking gaffe machine, but things are different now than just ten years ago. Anyone who has followed the 2020 election has watched in horror as Biden has struggled to hold a thought or finish a sentence.
A new poll confirms that the public has noticed this.

Poll: 38% of Voters Believe Biden Has Dementia, 61% Want Him to Publicly Address Issue
Due to his ever-growing legacy of public gaffes and displays of confusion, 38% of likely U.S. voters now believe that former Vice President Joe Biden has “some form of dementia,” a national Rasmussen Poll released Monday reveals.
On June 25 and 28, 2020, Rasmussen surveyed 1,000 U.S. likely voters, asking the following question:
“From what you have seen and read, do you believe Joe Biden is suffering from some form of dementia?”
While 38% said “yes,” Biden is suffering from dementia, slightly under half (48%) said “no” and 14% were “not sure.” Sixty-six percent (66%) of Republicans believe Biden has dementia – more than three times the percent of Democrats (20%) and greater than twice those with “other” political leanings (20%).
Likewise, while 61% of all voters said it’s important (41% “very important,” 20% “somewhat important”) for Biden to “address the dementia issue publicly,” Republicans were the most likely to consider it crucial. Among Republicans, 81% said it’s either very (65%) or somewhat (16%) important for Biden to publicly address the issue. In contrast, 51% of both Democrats and “other” voters said they view it as at least somewhat important.
Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner notes that this comes on the heels of another similar poll:

Seniors are the age group most likely to think Biden is suffering from dementia, said the Rasmussen analysis.
The report followed a Zogby poll that found 55% believe that the 77-year-old Democrat and former vice president is in the early stages of dementia. “Right now voters have questions concerning Biden’s mental health and stamina,” said the Zogby analysis.
Rasmussen took the question further, asking if likely voters believed Biden already had dementia, although it did not define the condition.
It found that voters want the vice president to address the concerns. “Sixty-one percent of all voters believe it is important for Biden to address the dementia issue publicly, with 41% who say it is ‘Very Important,’” said Rasmussen.
The Trump campaign is already highlighting this perception in an ad:

It is absolutely amazing. When you mention to democrats that Biden has signs of dementia, they do not argue….they immediately change the conversation. 20% admit it, I would wager 50% know and don’t care because they hate Trump so much, the other 30% ?? who knows.(my estimate)

Isn’t ironic how Dems repeatedly try to use the 25th Amendment to attack Trump yet they nominate Slow Joe?

This all reminds me of the old ploy where yuppies would pay homeless people to keep their place in a ticket line until the stadium opened.
This is now the preferred Democrat method of choosing presidential candidates. They perform the Democracy Theatre (TM) of holding caucuses and primaries, then they shove a homeless placeholder into line to keep their space on the ballot until the Maximum Leaders in the party can figure out who they really want sitting in the White House. And, of course, the person is likely to be someone not even considered by any actual citizen who voted in any primary.
I don’t think he’s suffereing from an early stage of dementia.
I believe he’s clearly a lot further along than that.
But “addressing the issue” will change nothing; it’s a one-way street no matter what he or anyone else has to say about it.

Tara Reade. Remember her? She accused Biden of sexual assault, and actually hade some evidence to back up her story. Now she has vanished as though she had never existed. Biden’s dementia will be the same. Like Reade’s accusation it won’t cost him a single vote, and will be utterly buried come November.
It will be interesting to see how the upcoming presidential debates will be handled. My guess is that either a Zoom format will be used (with Biden being fed the answers by aides and the media cutting away in case anything goes wrong with their Chosen One), or the MSN/DNC axis will turn the debates into a violent anti-Trump protest where the candidates don’t get the chance to say anything.

Joe Biden is and has been STUPID forever. He has been wrong about nearly every major issue for over 40 years. Now this dummy has dementia, very obvious, and yet the dinosaur media, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat party, has and will cover for him. His family and his party is committing elder abuse and should be ashamed! They aren’t, and will try to prop him up. Shame on them!

Who is the arbiter of Biden’s dementia or Alzheimer’s disease?
Some patients I have known with dementia are very funny at certain stages. Biden is vicious, dangerous and malevolent.
During the last election it was brutally evident that Joe was unhinged when laughing like hyena over topic that wasn’t remotely laughable.
What sort of executive function would limit someone’s choices to a woman, or a woman of color? Why not just consider qualified and experienced persons?

Absurd. There cannot be a rationale, knowledgeable person in the world who doesn’t grasp the fact that Biden is cognitively disabled. He has been showing signs of incipient dementia for 7 years. Now it is full blown.
And, I might add, Pelosi is also showing signs of dementia and it is advancing far faster than Biden’s did. Schumer lately is near helpless without his notes and/or script. Often referring to a stated position of someone or something without showing any ability to discuss the details of the policy position in question.

I suspect this will come to a head at a presidential debate where Biden says something so terribly nonsensical that Trump will have to decide between responding as if he had said something normal, or calling off to the side of the stage to the paramedics (they’re always there for any event) and asking if they’d please check on Joe while the debates take a brief commercial break.
Seriously, if Joe has an on-screen meltdown, Trump’s going to have to take the high road to keep from looking like a jerk, and that might be difficult.
Trump is cocky, and I usually like that. But a debate stage with Biden would not be the place and I hope he remembers that. We’re all going to be there one day if we live long enough. Let the voters see for themselves and call for help if needed.
