Van Jones: Blacks need to worry more about the “white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter”

“It’s not the racist white person who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about,” Jones said. “It’s the white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park.”

In a CNN segment discussing the riots in Minneapolis over George Floyd’s death, Obama administration alum Van Jones, said, “It’s not the racist white person who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about,” Jones said. “It’s the white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park.”

Full transcript of his comments, via RCP:

“As painful as this is, what we saw was a lynching. That’s what a lynching is. We saw a white man deprive a black man of his life in public, with the entire community staring — horror struck. Now the world witnessed a lynching. But there have been lynchings happening in America for hundreds of years. This is what we have lived with.

When you see the police arrest our colleagues in broad daylight, daylight, but right there, when they weren’t doing anything wrong, that happens every day in America, to black people all the time. The arbitrary and capricious abuse of authority. Now, because it was on television, it was handled quickly. But that is — there is another reality here which you’re starting to see. You thought maybe the world worked one way because police are nice to you, because these things don’t happen to people you know, but the whole time there is a whole other America and the reason that you see people now doing the things they’re doing. We have no idea who set those fires. It could have been provocateurs, anybody, the reason you see people willing to risk their lives in the middle of a plague and a pandemic and to go out and literally risk their lives to protest is because people are now fed up.

People are telling me they’re tired of hashtags, they’re tired of Van Jones saying to have a bipartisan solution, they are tired of people like me, they’re tired of people saying over and over again that, you know, we’re just basically one bill away, one election away from some progress.

It’s not the racist white person who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about. It’s the white liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park who would tell you right now, you know, people like that, ‘I don’t see race, race is no big deal to me, I see us all as the same, I give to charities,’ but the minute she sees a black man who she does not respect or who she has a slight thought against, she weaponized race like she had been trained by the Aryan nation. A Klansmember could not have been better trained to pick up her phone and tell the police a black man, African-American man, come get him.

So even the most liberal well-intentioned white person has a virus in his or her brain that can be activated at an instant. And so what you’re seeing now is a curtain falling away. And those of us who have been burdened by this every minute, every second of our entire lives are fragile right now. We are fragile right now. We are tired. And so I appreciate people who have been reaching out, I’ve had people reaching out to me for two days now, expressing their empathy and sympathy.”

New video released appears to shows a different angle of Floyd’s murder. Derek Chauvin, the now ex-cop who kneeled on Floyd’s neck until he died, has been charged with third degree murder and manslaughter.

Interesting comment and one that I understand completely.

The young white woman did indeed reach for the race card to escalate her dispute with the black man (note: I’m not exonerating the man’s behavior; he himself was being a jerk). But can one imagine if police had come and put a knee into HIS neck over this?

Van Jones has a valid point — the woman did indeed weaponize the man’s race.

I think Van Jones is just using a disarming way to say don’t trust any white people because they are all the racist boogeyman, some just hide it better than others.

Yes. It’s a denunciation of all white people and a sinister call to arms.

It’s so rich coming from super racist Van Jones who has supported the KKK-DEMOCRAT PARTY his whole life……

So, Mr. Jones, what do you suggest?

Diversity, divergence, feminism, and a dog?

Someone needs to remind Mr. Jones that blacks were not the only ones being lynched … Democrats lynched a good many white Republicans as well

Republicans, Catholics, and Jews were lynched.
So who racks up a bigger score, Klansmen or gangs?
We’ll the Klansmen are mostly out of business, but gangs keep rolling. Nobody is going anywhere in Chicago politics without gang assistance.

Van Jones should get it right. He’s almost there.

Van, That “racist person in the KKK” and that “white, liberal Hillary Clinton supporter” are one and the same,

And this,

Clinton had become friends with Byrd during her time in the Senate, and had even lunched with Byrd and Clinton’s mother, who came to admire him while monitoring C-SPAN for her daughter’s floor appearances.

This morning, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton put out her own statement eulogizing Byrd as a “friend and mentor” as “a man of unsurpassing eloquence and nobility.”

“It is almost impossible to imagine the United States Senate without Robert Byrd. He was not just its longest serving member, he was its heart and soul. From my first day in the Senate, I sought out his guidance, and he was always generous with his time and his wisdom,” Clinton wrote.

“All white people are infected with the black lynch virus.”

IIRC, the total number of black people lynched in the South is about the same as the number of blacks murdered by other blacks in any recent 10 year stretch “in Baltimore alone.”

“From 1882-1968, 4,743 lynchings occurred in the United States. Of these people that were lynched 3,446 were black.”

I’ll put lynching right next to covid-19 on my list of “crap I don’t really care about” because it really isn’t as big a deal as people make it out to be.

It’s interesting that a cop, Greg Anderson, was disciplined for posting a video about how government and law enforcement should not violate people’s civil rights. He was a cop in ultra leftist Seattle area. And now, a cop in liberal Minnesota, and ultra leftist Minneapolis violated another person’s civil rights, and he was not disciplined or fired for prior acts. Jones is right, a white liberal doesn’t care about your civil rights and will protect people who are willing to violate those rights, and fire anyone who questions the liberal orthodoxy.

I’m just tired of the Black mantra, “all whites are bad”, when we LNOW there is more Black in White crime including murder, and dare I say torture

I don’t live in a Black neighborhood and I won’t live in a Black neighborhood . I have Black “friends”, I have a daughter who played Basketball in a D1 University, which says I have been surrounded by Black culture for years, but you will
Never be trusted by American Blacks, I don’t know about Europe’s Blacks, never been there, often wondered if they carry the same animosity that American Blacks do?

I mean 400,000 men lost their lives fighting for freedom, their freedom, will that NEVER make an difference? I don’t think so

Shitty people are in positions of power, that’s never going to change, people who like power seek those positions. Our job as human beings is to call them out ASAP to eliminate their power.

Given the economic means even blacks do not want to live in self segregating black neighborhoods………

Racism is big business. Even communists—like Van Jones—know that.

And like any big business, it needs constant advertising if its dealers expect their business to grow.

I wondered how many people fell for his bs.

Racism at it’s finest.

The basic story.

“Denzel drove by, saw the individual in the road, and was worried about his safety,” the officer said. The actor “pulled over, got the individual out of the road and police officers were called by another person that was driving by and saw Denzel. We intervened, spoke with the individual, and determined that he did not want to harm himself or others, and he was on his way.”

The officer said the actor was being a good Samaratin and even gave the man a mask for protection. “So Denzel helped us today.”

The left in it’s inherent racism. Notice how different it is from the real story. Might as well pat Denzel on the head and say good boy.

Denzel Washington saw a commotion in West Hollywood with cops and an unarmed distressed homeless man. He got out of his car and served as a barrier between the man and the police — helping to diffuse a tense situation. This man was arrested safely.?❤️

Van Jones is a self-avowed communist.

What he has to say about anything is not worth considering.
