Joe Biden is becoming a sad figure to watch

Joe Biden is becoming a sad figure to watch

“MAGA/Sanders twitter” is coordinating Biden “cognitive decline” campaign says Politico Chief DC Correspondent, but we have our own eyes and ears, and it’s becoming a sad spectacle.

With each passing day, more and more videos capture Joe Biden on the campaign trail making what are more than the gaffes for which he is famous. Biden forgets or struggles to remember names, events and people as he speaks, and jumbles words.

Biden should not be laughed at for this. My overwhelming feeling for Joe is one of sadness, that he was pushed into something for which he is not prepared. And it’s only going to get worse.

Here are some of the videos widely circulating in the past few days.

“Cognitive Decline” is a word increasingly being used, particularly by people on the left.

It may be the only thing on which Glenn Greenwald and Donald Trump agree:

Biden supporters say it’s just stuttering, but I’m not sure that flies.

The alternative line of defense is that this is all a coordinated “disinformation” campaign, as Nancy LeTourneau writes in Washington Monthly, The Disinformation Campaign Being Launched Against Biden.

The theory of a coordinated campaign joining Trump and Bernie supporters also is being argued by Ryan Lizza, Chief Washington Correspondent for Politico. And the proof of coordination? The denial of coordination! It’s the old Kafkatrapping technique.

Part of the “cognitive decline” campaign being spread by MAGA/Sanders twitter is to deny any coordination. The idea is that everyone is just now noticing that Biden misspeaks all the time and they’re suddenly alarmed by it. He’s been like this for decades!

Maybe it’s nothing, but maybe it’s something. THESE ARE NOT GAFFES

Now that Biden won big on Super Tuesday and has the endorsement of most of his prior rivals, Biden is the most likely Democrat nominee. That is, if Biden can keep his momentum going. If not, there could still be a surprise prior to or at the convention.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I think Elizabeth Warren is hovering waiting for Biden and/or Sanders to implode — most likely Biden. Warren’s no longer running a campaign, but she’s making sure she stays in the public eye with a massive “sexism” pity party among her supporters and a cringeworthy SNL appearance:

There are a lot of forces in whose interest it is to portray Biden as in cognitive decline. But we also have our eyes and ears to evaluate those claims. And the result is just sad.

Even Peter Daou, a hardcore Democrat and Hillary supporter, sees the writing on the wall:

What alarms me is that I could name at least ten former Dem candidates who would be stronger than #Biden against the coming rightwing onslaught. That includes #Warren, #Buttigieg, #Harris, and #Booker. Even Hillary running again would be a safer bet.

The Democrat establishment, in its rush to stop Bernie, may have made a historic mistake in putting all its eggs in the Biden basket. If Joe falters in the coming weeks in the public perception of his ability to function, the Democrat establishment has left themselves no alternatives to Bernie.

The DNC and all DEM Leaders are extremely cruel in pushing Biden
just so hopefully they can keep themselves out of jail.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital | March 8, 2020 at 9:11 pm

From the start of the DEM debates it has been reported that Biden’s handlers have been keeping him chock-full/drugged up with powerful drugs.

Imo, it must be true.

Clearly, Donald Trump’s efforts to tie the Ukraine to Joe Biden is responsibile for Biden’s decline in health.

Just like Harvery Weinstein, who needed a walker right after coming into criminal charges, and all those labor officials who always get heart problems when they are charge with embezzlement of union money, Trump has forced Joe Biden into senility.

CorkyAgain in reply to Neo. | March 9, 2020 at 12:40 pm

So you’re saying Joe is laying the groundwork for a plausible claim that he “doesn’t remember” when the FBI interrogates him about getting that Ukrainian prosecutor fired to protect his son’s cushy job with Burisma?

Learned a thing or two from Hillary, eh?

Antifundamentalist | March 8, 2020 at 9:13 pm

The DNC must already have his VP ready to announce as soon as they declare him their Candidate. They know he can’t handle the presidency, they were just hoping to keep him together long enough to get him elected. Otherwise, they are stuck with Biden, who isn’t a Democrat and will not be controlled by them once he is in office.

Antifundamentalist in reply to Antifundamentalist. | March 8, 2020 at 9:14 pm

That should have been “stuck with Sanders”

From the clues coming in, Bernie is the DNC front runner and actually won the Texas primary.

Sketchy – 44 Dallas County Precincts Were NOT Included in Super Tuesday Results – Election Officials Request Recount…
      March 8, 2020

First, the background… On Super Tuesday the biggest shock was that Joe Biden won Texas in the Democrat presidential primary.

Specifically, it was the moment when results from Dallas County, Texas, were reported when the media narrative of a Biden win began to be broadcast. Go back to election night, re-watch the coverage, and you’ll see all media broadcasting pointing to Dallas County, Texas, as the Biden inflection point.

Not to mention that CA has yet to report full results. They have the early voting results which favor Biden a little, but the actual Tuesday Election day results are stuck in technical limbo (what a surprise). It is believed that most younger people waited for Election Day to vote and their vote will go predominantly to Sanders and tip the state to Boiney.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to Edward. | March 9, 2020 at 2:22 pm

Thanks, I had not heard that about CA.

So it’s just like 2016 in CA primary with Bernie perhaps…..

With Obama/Biden – I always considered Biden as the insurance policy against any coup or assassination attempt because back then, who would want Biden.

I looked at the VP choices of Hillary (Kaine) & Trump (Pence) and decided that the R slate was much better and there was the SCOTUS list.

I would hope that people will look at the VP selection of Sanders & Biden since they both have issues. If Biden makes it to the WH, assume that the Deep State characters return.

Another point to recall is that the press was really tough on McCain and his medical & POW issues. Remember McCain giving access to his extensive medical records to the press? I don’t think it helped him to be so honest, but the press did not really ask about Hillary and now Biden & Sanders about their issues.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital | March 8, 2020 at 9:23 pm

Regarding Lizzie, she only “SUSPENDED” her campaign……..

The problem is not poor Biden. He is being used like Marjoe (Gortner) was.

The Democrats – the mainline elite swamp corrupt – have apparently turned into a cult. A suicide cult.

If he dies, is his corpse going to be featured and propped up like Weekend at Bernies? (irony not lost).

I’m waiting for the Terri Schaivo question – if you lose your cognative abilities …

thad_the_man | March 8, 2020 at 9:26 pm

I think VP Biden simply can’t accept the fact that he’s “Losing it” and it’s very sad.

A lot of folks think hildabeast is getting back on the trail with an eye to becoming the vp nominee. Then when quid pro joe wins (doubtful) he’ll resign and she gets her turn.
And you can bet if she got her turn that Stalin and Mao would look like kittens compared to her wrath. Pretty sure she’d end up richer than Amazon and Apple combined if she became prez.

I don’t think the obamas were ever vetted properly. The biggest problem with her is her hatred for America. It’s palpable. People sensed it in both her and barak. I really don’t think barak would have won re-election had it not been for romney. romney threw the race for the promise of a future run and some good old burisma money. I just don’t think the vast majority of Americans are up for having another America hater as POTUS. Been there, done that, it sucked.

If Hillary is the VP, we can be sure Biden won’t live through his term … I doubt he will make it through the first six months, even with food tasters.

Look at the pathetic similarities of the Dem POTUS candidates for 2016 and 2020. And they were the alternatives to the pathetic Socialist/Communist.

Having taken care of my Dad the last 4 years of his life, I find what’s going on with Biden especially troubling. Not so much with Joe but with the left and Joe’s handlers and family in particular who would put him through this and spur him on.

It’s elder abuse and it absolutely disgusts me.

Spitballing … it would be an interesting spin to ask the public if they really want to trust the left/Dems with healthcare, when they’re engaging in elder abuse of Joe and refuse to take care of his increasingly obvious cognitive decline.

I do not rule it out at all. Don’t know if it will be Michelle, Oprah, or Hillary. May be someone who has not been mentioned yet. Keep in mind that the entire Primary process is Maskirova, and the leadership of both parties do not give an obese rodent’s gluts about what the members of their party want. I would give it 50-50, with a chance of fair-to-partly violent in place of votes.

I believe this was the genesis of the ‘never-Trumpers.’ The old guard GOP, the GOP elite (GOPe), country club Republicans had a nice little gig going. They pretended to be the “loyal opposition” to the dems when in fact everyone was on the same team. stuffing their pockets with ill gotten US Taxpayer $$$. dick cheney made millions in no-bid contracts for halliburton. The democrats and msm grumbled a little bit about that but didn’t actually do anything because THEY WERE ALL POCKETING TAXPAYER MONEY. PDJT watched this for years and it made him sick. He ran as a true outsider. They all laughed at him, but he pulled of the biggest political feat in human history. Without EVER having served a day in elected office, he won against the “inevitable” hillary rodham clinton. PDJT showed the true Republican Patriots how to win and is the current true leader of the Republican Party (he went 20 for 20 with his Super Tuesday Congressional endorsements). Anyway, I enjoy your posts and perspectives and I’m always interested in your point of view.

Pushed? This is, what his third time running? He is not being pushed. He has been dreaming of the brass ring for decades, but his sad curse is that he is always destined to fall off the carousel.

Pushed? This is, what his third time running? He is not being pushed. He has been dreaming of the brass ring for decades, but his sad curse is that he is always destined to fall off the carousel.

He’s actually becoming a joyous figure to watch: the more the reality of who this corrupt rat is, the more the reality of who obama is (and why he chose the likes of biden as his idiot VP).

Democratic insiders know Biden has cognitive decline issues. They joke about it. They don’t care.

Why should they care? They know that if they can get him elected into the White House, they’ll be the one making the decisions, not this old dotard.

He’ll sign whatever they tell him to sign and push whatever buttons they tell him to push. Or maybe they’ll do the signing and pushing for him too.

It’s the Party way, and the Leader of the Party isn’t necessarily the person in the Oval Office. Sometimes it’s easier to rule from behind the curtain.

Joe will die or have a serious medical condition requiring a replacement prior to the election.

They cannot wait until after the election because they know he would lose, taking the house with him and increasing the R lead in the senate. That is their election concern, not the WH. RGB WILL kick the bucket before Trump is out of office – they have to win the senate.

Poor Joe, vote for XXX out of sympathy.

artichoke in reply to Barry. | March 8, 2020 at 11:21 pm

Yeah, could well be. They cannot insert a stronger candidate like Ohio senator Sherrod Brown before or at the convention. The Bernie bros would not accept it, regardless of what Bernie said to them. They have to settle Bernie out of the picture first, then they can do a switch, up until the date when the presidential ballots are printed, and that would be state by state.

CorkyAgain in reply to artichoke. | March 8, 2020 at 11:43 pm

If they replace him with anybody but Bernie the Bros are going to be pissed. Whether they stick with Biden or replace him with an establishment-favored candidate, it’s a no-win situation as far as any hope of keeping the Bros onboard.

Quite a dilemma they’ve gotten themselves into, eh? Let’s have some Schadenfreude on our popcorn!

Milhouse in reply to artichoke. | March 9, 2020 at 12:36 am

They can replace him after the ballots are printed. The ballots are for a slate of electors who are pledged to the candidate, or to whomever the DNC chooses if there’s a switch. In fact they can replace the candidate at any time until the electors vote on Dec 14.

CKYoung in reply to Milhouse. | March 9, 2020 at 1:58 am

This would result in open revolt in the democrat party with at least 33% of them peeling off forever, in my opinion. I’m curious to hear what you think the result would be?

Milhouse in reply to CKYoung. | March 9, 2020 at 3:08 am

I think the result would be exactly the same whether they replace him before the ballots are printed or after, or after the election, or with the 25th amendment after his inauguration. The date makes no difference. So they may as well do it immediately after the election, or if their polling shows it would help they may be best advised to do it shortly before the election (aka the Lautenberg trick).

IMHO, that is the key to this establishment campaign for Biden. He won’t even survive the nomination process for obvious reasons. But pegging him as the presumptive nominee controls the narrative and prevents another upstart from catching fire and derailing the plan to segue to Hillary? Romney? the Wookie? when the time comes.

They know they can’t win this year but they might go with someone who wants to win in 2024. That candidate would have to be charismatic and present a hopeful narrative to build on in changing the course of the party. It could also be the VP pack which won’t be declared until the convention who will then take the lead campaigning and drive the narrative.

But I expect they will go with a sacrificial lamb to get crushed. With Pelosi and Schumer out of the way, this would open up the party for the Soros-backed Commie Squad. Soros/ Obama could then orchestrate the communist takeover of the party.

Let’s hope today’s market crash doesn’t catch fire. The globalist world is burning right now and we know how desperate they are to stay in the game.

But pegging their presumptive nominee who can’t win, especially if he is a doddering old fool, is key to working the narrative into planned events.

So, you’re saying the the Electoral College is protecting the Democrats ? .. the irony

As near as I can tell, the Democrats lost their bench during the Obama years. They hadn’t been replacing people for some time, and the losses to the Tea Party knocked out their tier that should have been coming up now. That along with their focus on youth and their primary standard bearer is literally to young to run until 2024. I do expect her to run then and we should very much be prepared for it, but they do not have anything in-between.

It felt to me like Jussie Smollett was slated to be the new Obama. Blackish, gay, leftwing but not identifiably communist, from Chicago, he’s like a constitutionally eligible Obama. An actor, which brings many useful political skills.

The beating hoax was intended to catapult him into the grievance politics bigtime.

But oops, it got caught. And so they were left with B and C list people. They tried Beto. They tried Pete. Neither one could pull it off. They didn’t have the right racial “disadvantage”.

CKYoung in reply to Voyager. | March 9, 2020 at 2:12 am

obama turned out to be a Pyrrhic victory for the democrats. The damage he did to their party was/is staggering. Now the big divide in the democrat party is split roughly into generations: Boomers who wonder why the democrat party left them, Millennials who are just now catching on to the fact that government is a scam and becoming more pragmatic, and Generation Z who still thinks there’s a socialist fairy distributing freebies like every day is Christmas, Easter, Halloween and their birthday all rolled into one. The democrat party is in for a series of very rough election cycles, if they manage to survive at all.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to CKYoung. | March 9, 2020 at 2:40 pm

      Hear Hear!

      Pyrrhic victory indeed!

From the start of Barrack’s erection in 2008, I told myself that it would act like a strong vaccination.

More than that however, with President Trumps patient, persistent help, it’s reveal all the Democrat Party Election FRAUD, and other Corruption!

It’s not cruelty. Nobody forced him to run for president. But maybe someone did, in a way.

By uncovering his previous crimes and misdeeds, he has to run so that he can claim that he’s immune from investigation. He’s running to stay out of prison.

Personally I don’t care if he goes to prison. There are others that need to go there much more urgently.

But there’s no way in hell I’m feeling sorry for the guy. Even if he is in cognitive decline, he’s had 80 years, many of them at the top of the world. He’s done well for himself.

I find this all so sad. Both my parents had dementia and my mom lived in my house for several years. A characteristic they both shared is that my parents weren’t aware of the mistakes they were making, or if they did notice them, were only dimly understood how serious they were. Their judgement was seriously impacted. (True story: “I think I hit a road sign. I’m not sure. I think I hit something. Should I ask the police? Hmm. It’s a lovely day. Are you coming to visit soon?”) If Ol’ Joe actually is beginning the long decline into Alzheimer’s or similar he very well could be unaware of it and feel completely qualified to both run and govern as POTUS. No conspiracy. Too many of us recognize the signs. His handlers are abusing him.

    “Both my parents had dementia…”

We’d all bet NEITHER of your parents ever looted the federal government nor stood by a traitor for 8 years.

Rick in reply to B Buchanan. | March 9, 2020 at 2:14 am

You have more grace than I for your feeling sorry for this lying, cheating miscreant. Think of the pain he inflicted on the driver, and the driver’s family, whom he falsely accused of being drunk when it was his wife’s car that drove into the driver’s truck.

Biden has been making gaffes for so long that might it not be dementia, but the long term consequences of two brain surgeries for aneurysms, one of which I believe burst? Anyone a neurologist here?

I’m sure the DNC (via Perkins Coie) has retained Fusion GPS to research the 25th Amendment to remove him from office after he is elected.

    Milhouse in reply to freddy33. | March 9, 2020 at 12:39 am

What’s there to research? The text is clear. But they can replace him before the electors vote, and bypass any of that.

CKYoung in reply to Milhouse. | March 9, 2020 at 2:22 am

Milhouse, revolutions were started for this kind of behavior. Just because something CAN be done, does not mean it SHOULD be done. If you don’t think the bernie bros are going to revolt, I would say you’re very mistaken. I abhor bernie sanders and hope like heII he is not nominated. But *IF* he is, I hope the electoral blowout is so monumental, the democrat party goes extinct, because they will have earned it. That’s not my down vote, by the way.

Joe Biden has never been very bright. He has been making silly comments for 40 or more years. The dinosaur media, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat party, has been covering for him for decades. The common explanation for him is he makes “gaffes”. No he is that STUPID!!

Biden is just a label to temporarily rally around, and between that and some fraud they can deny Bernie the nomination.

After that, it’s buh-bye Joe, hello Hillary, as has been her plan all along: manipulate a brokered convention for the nomination, then turn up the vote fraud to 11 for the general.

Given the Donna Brazile stutter fuc* and strange behavior before Super Tuesday when the plan was being hatched and she was clearly in on it to take out Bernie, I can’t help but think we are missing something.
This is the cabal that planned to destroy Trump when they thought he did not have a chance. They plan and plot.
They have turned every Federal agency into a criminal enterprise. And Trump has been unable to tell the house cleaner what to do. Much less the DOJ/FBI/IRS/EPA/ATF/DOS/FEC/ etc.
There is likely a much larger plot in the making…

The final straw will be biden drawing with his feces in the first debate.

I won’t make this question specifically about joe biden (((but)))… Are there any experts here who know whether the stress of a high tempo schedule with lots of travel and high stakes public appearances can/will hasten a person’s dementia? Can it have a cascading effect? Back to joe biden. It seems to me if I were to graph his behavior, It has been in a steady decline but on the verge of a dramatic drop off. Again, I’m no expert by any means, but there has to be some here.

The DNC is throwing the game on purpose.
Look, who wants to take the blame for what is hitting us now?
They know it is good strategy to just sit this one out.

George_Kaplan | March 9, 2020 at 2:35 am

Might Biden have Alzheimer’s? If that’s the case what does it say about the DNC that they’d prefer someone with a chronic neurodegenerative disease over Trump or Sanders?

Side note: Tulsi Gabbard is still in the race but seems to be even more PNG than Bernie!!!

Dr Jill really wants Joe to run . If he was my husband I would encourage him to step out but not Dr Jill. Disgusting.

And if Lizzy is so concerned about little girls waiting four more years why doesn’t she throw her support to Tulsi? She’s still in it as far as I know. If you’re really all concerned about women’s opportunities and what not.

I absolutely have to disagree here. I dont want to see joe bidan in diapers, and neither do the american people. Well….the sane ones anyway.
I need a fire to burn that image out of my mind.

No matter how badly Biden slips or gaffes he makes, the media will continue to work to hide it from the American public unless the DNC comes up with Plan B, which the media will support just as it threw its weight behind Biden for the past 10 days.

I won’t be wasting one drop of sympathy for Slow Joe. He, his family and his friends lived high on the hog for decades, courtesy of the US taxpayer…with a little help from those who were equally crooked.

Joe Biden is not a sympathetic figure, Professor. His history precludes that.

Philster7656 | March 9, 2020 at 8:49 pm

I remember Biden when he first ran for President as one of the “Seven Dwarfs” back in 1987. He did the same thing then as he does today, and it wasn’t old age back then. Everyone blames his gaffes on senility because he’s old, but he has had serious mental problems throughout his entire career.

I really hate to see people suffer the lingering mind degeneration, it is a cruel fact.
Even with Joe, I never liked him… but this is awful to behold.
