Brazil’s Bolsonaro Tested for Coronavirus After Aide Confirms Diagnosis After Meeting With Trump

Trump hasn’t been tested for coronavirus.

Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro has undergone testing for coronavirus after his press secretary Fabio Wajngarten tested positive for the virus.

Both men met with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago last week.

Trump told the media that he is “not concerned” about Wajngarten’s diagnosis. He has not been tested for the coronavirus. Vice President Mike Pence has not had a test either:

The White House said earlier in the week that Trump was in “excellent health” after shaking hands with a congressman exposed to the virus.

“The President has not received COVID-19 testing because he has neither had prolonged close contact with any known confirmed COVID-19 patients, nor does he have any symptoms,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said. “President Trump remains in excellent health, and his physician will continue to closely monitor him.”

I wonder if that will change.

He should be tested and so should Pence

What a freaking disaster

I will not even think about who is third in line. Best not to go there.

      Something tells me….

They know much more about this situation then we do.

Their feeling no need for testing speaks volumes methinks.

Antifundamentalist in reply to gonzotx. | March 12, 2020 at 1:07 pm

If he doesn’t have symptoms, why would he be tested? There’s a protocol for that kind of thing, I’m sure they are following it.

RandomCrank in reply to Antifundamentalist. | March 12, 2020 at 1:26 pm

He should be tested because he’s the god damned president.

mailman in reply to RandomCrank. | March 12, 2020 at 1:29 pm

There is no point without symptoms. Stop being chicken little for fucks sake.

RandomCrank in reply to mailman. | March 12, 2020 at 1:42 pm

It doesn’t matter. I’m not chicken little. I’m actually big-picture optimistic on the epidemic, although the longer that mass testing is delayed the more pissed off I am getting.

Aside from that, it’s not about Donald Trump. Couldn’t give a shit in that sense. It’s about the person holding the office of president. That person should be tested. It’s absurd to argue otherwise.

amwick in reply to mailman. | March 12, 2020 at 1:55 pm

He has to meet with all kinds of people. Pretty sure that is part of his job. Besides that, I am concerned about his well being.

        tom_swift in reply to RandomCrank. | March 12, 2020 at 3:05 pm

And he’ll still be President no matter what the results of the test. So, what’s the point? If he’s incapacitated for whatever reason, we have a VP to step into the job. The test is of value only for tracking who’s spreading what, and when & where.

snopercod in reply to snopercod. | March 12, 2020 at 1:29 pm

Disregard. As RandomCrank pointed out below, the article says nothing of the kind. Fake News.

Did you read the article? It is an op-ed on the president’s speech, not the results of a medical test.

And, what is the time frame of first exposure to the virus to having enough virus fragments in your body that a throat and nose swab will pick up enough to be tested?

And with the tests there are in the world, what is the rate of false negatives and false positives?

If you have a cold, the flu, or the corona virus, what would you do different? If you are sick, stay home, wash your hands, drinks plenty of fluids, check with your primary care doctor to see if you need a strep, flu, or CoVid19 tests.

sorry about writing what everyone else did – I started it sooner and then got sidetracked with a phone call…

alaskabob in reply to gonzotx. | March 12, 2020 at 2:54 pm

So… if he is “positive” what then? Hum? It doesn’t convert him into a Joe Biden. So far mental impairment isn’t part of the infection. Get a grip. Do I hear 25th Amendment in the wings?

I wonder too. Now I feel kinda sick, and confused. He was in close proximity, and we know that it is possible to not have symptoms, how could he not be tested?

Remember the Chinese woman Mara Lago caught trying to sneak around awhile back
I think there was another
Could they have been trying to implant this virus somewhere
Was there another, later, that may have been successful?

It’s the wrong message not to be tested as we know so many peope are carriers for weeks and are asymptomatic.

My guess is that both the President and the Vice President have been tested, but they’re keeping it quiet because they don’t want to incite more panic. That’s the media’s job.

    The talking points write themselves.

“This distraught mother can’t get a test for her sick child (whose symptoms don’t match coronavirus) — but plenty of tests for the President who isn’t even sick.”

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to clintack. | March 12, 2020 at 1:02 pm

And you know that’s just ONE of the BIG LIES the
      LYIN’ MEDIA would LIE about.

    gonzotx in reply to Dantzig93101. | March 12, 2020 at 12:51 pm

It’s still the wrong message and who wants to be near them now?

RandomCrank in reply to amwick. | March 12, 2020 at 1:25 pm

Did you even read the column? It’s not about Trump getting a virus test, but rather is a review of his speech. Which, by the way, did not impress me much. And I really wanted to like it.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to amwick. | March 12, 2020 at 1:27 pm

      Headline (ibib.)

Trump passes coronavirus test with flying colors

It is a Gobalist Menace that has declared war on America.

“Now effectively a wartime president, Trump’s repeated assurances of victory were music to the ears of a rattled nation….America now knows it has a president committed to victory. That’s what matters most.”

Methinks when you read the article carefully that its headline means something else.

amwick in reply to amwick. | March 12, 2020 at 1:44 pm

I was so anxious for great news.. a friend passed that along. You are right,,, we were both taken in..

He didn’t take the America it means he was Presidential

The testing situation has, um, sorely tested my patience.

FDA still strutting over thalidomide.

alaskabob in reply to Petrushka. | March 12, 2020 at 2:57 pm

Exactly… the only reason the FDA looked good on it was foot dragging and then the malformations showed up in Europe. The FDA backed into their “success”.

The DNC Moves to Protect Its Geriatric, Immunocompromised, At-Risk Candidates, “Social Distancing” Them From the Voters
— Ace of Spades

Cancelling the debates not at the root of the hysteria but one of their actual smart people saw it as a great way to keep Biden’s gaffs to a minimum and bernies popularity from getting stronger through more rallys. Bernie is probably the only over 30 at a rally anyway so no one is really at risk.

UK Times, March 5th:

I Don’t Want to Say that Coronavirus Is a Good Thing Because it Will Reduce Carbon Dioxide and Kill the Old People Most Resistant to Climate Alarmism, But That’s Exactly What I’m Saying

Don’t take this the wrong way but if you were a young, hardline environmentalist looking for the ultimate weapon against climate change, you could hardly design anything better than coronavirus.

Unlike most other such diseases, it kills mostly the old who, let’s face it, are more likely to be climate sceptics. It spares the young. Most of all, it stymies the forces that have been generating greenhouse gases for decades. Deadly enough to terrify; containable enough that aggressive quarantine measures can prevent it from spreading.

Democrats Reject Trump’s Call For Unity To Fight…

The Daily Daily Caller Podcast with Derek Hunter

Praying for both men.

I notice that COVID has taken a toll in the Iranian government.

Frankly I think most of you are too gullible.
I don’t trust anything government says. If he has been tested than he would have said so if it was negative. Therefore I suspect both he and Pence have tested positive. (The market would have tanked even more if they told the truth.)
All the medical know-how will be used.
I actually thought he came off as subdued in his speech on the virus.
I with Kepha H. praying for both men.
I hope my deduction are wrong.
