Brazil’s Bolsonaro Tested for Coronavirus After Aide Confirms Diagnosis After Meeting With Trump
Trump hasn’t been tested for coronavirus.
Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro has undergone testing for coronavirus after his press secretary Fabio Wajngarten tested positive for the virus.
Both men met with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago last week.

Trump told the media that he is “not concerned” about Wajngarten’s diagnosis. He has not been tested for the coronavirus. Vice President Mike Pence has not had a test either:
The White House said earlier in the week that Trump was in “excellent health” after shaking hands with a congressman exposed to the virus.
“The President has not received COVID-19 testing because he has neither had prolonged close contact with any known confirmed COVID-19 patients, nor does he have any symptoms,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said. “President Trump remains in excellent health, and his physician will continue to closely monitor him.”
I wonder if that will change.

If he doesn’t have symptoms, why would he be tested? There’s a protocol for that kind of thing, I’m sure they are following it.

It doesn’t matter. I’m not chicken little. I’m actually big-picture optimistic on the epidemic, although the longer that mass testing is delayed the more pissed off I am getting.
Aside from that, it’s not about Donald Trump. Couldn’t give a shit in that sense. It’s about the person holding the office of president. That person should be tested. It’s absurd to argue otherwise.
He has to meet with all kinds of people. Pretty sure that is part of his job. Besides that, I am concerned about his well being.
And he’ll still be President no matter what the results of the test. So, what’s the point? If he’s incapacitated for whatever reason, we have a VP to step into the job. The test is of value only for tracking who’s spreading what, and when & where.

Did you read the article? It is an op-ed on the president’s speech, not the results of a medical test.
And, what is the time frame of first exposure to the virus to having enough virus fragments in your body that a throat and nose swab will pick up enough to be tested?
And with the tests there are in the world, what is the rate of false negatives and false positives?
If you have a cold, the flu, or the corona virus, what would you do different? If you are sick, stay home, wash your hands, drinks plenty of fluids, check with your primary care doctor to see if you need a strep, flu, or CoVid19 tests.

My guess is that both the President and the Vice President have been tested, but they’re keeping it quiet because they don’t want to incite more panic. That’s the media’s job.

Did you even read the column? It’s not about Trump getting a virus test, but rather is a review of his speech. Which, by the way, did not impress me much. And I really wanted to like it.

I don’t trust anything government says. If he has been tested than he would have said so if it was negative. Therefore I suspect both he and Pence have tested positive. (The market would have tanked even more if they told the truth.)
