Europe has been hit by a massive migrant wave after Turkey opened border crossings on Friday. Thousands of migrants started amassing along the Greek and Bulgarian borders, with Turkish authorities offering free bus rides for illegal migrants to reach border crossings.

About 18,000 illegal migrants have already crossed into Europe, the Turkish government confirmed. This number is set to reach 30,000 over the weekend. The current influx is a grim reminder of the Migrant Crisis of 2015 which led to a sharp rise in migrant crime and a string of deadly Islamic terror attacks across Europe.

‘What did we do yesterday ? We opened the doors,’ Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday. The Turkish decision came after Russia-backed Syrian Forces killed 33 Turkish soldiers in an airstrike in north-western Syria. In December, the Turkish army invaded parts of Syria to wage war against the Kurdish forces controlling the area.

Migrants clashed with Greece and Bulgaria border guards, as they forced their way into Europe, European media outlets reported. Greece will not ‘tolerate’ any ‘illegal entries,’ Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Twitter.

News agency Reuters reported the unfolding migrant crisis along the European borders:

Hundreds of migrants in Turkey started arriving on the borders with Greece and Bulgaria on Friday after a senior Turkish official said Ankara would no longer abide by a 2016 EU deal and stop refugees from reaching Europe.

Some wore face masks, in an apparent attempt to guard against the coronavirus outbreak now sweeping the world and adding to the concerns of hard-pressed European authorities.

Greece and Bulgaria, both European Union member states, vowed not to admit the migrants. Greek police used smoke grenades at one border crossing, while Bulgaria sent an extra 1,000 troops to its border with Turkey. (…)

Syrians, Iranians, Iraqis, Pakistanis and Moroccans were among the migrants arriving at the border crossings with Greece and Bulgaria, about 200 km (125 miles) west of Istanbul, Turkey’s pro-government Demiroren news agency said.

The opening of the border is a breach of the 2015 EU-Turkey migrant deal brokered by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Ankara had agreed to regulate the flow of immigrants in exchange for billions of dollars and resettlement of around 150,000 to 200,000 migrants from Turkish camps to Europe each year. The EU has already paid Turkey €6 billion as part of the deal, German broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported on Friday.

It is unclear if the border opening is Erdogan’s way of getting more concessions from Brussels. Apart from more money, Erdogan wants Europe to open its borders to 80 million Turkish citizens. “The EU also promised to expedite negotiations on Turkey’s accession to the EU, visa-free travel to the EU for Turkish citizens and an extension of the customs union,”Deutsche Welle added.

This is not the first time Erdogan has threatened Europe with ‘opening the floodgates’ to mass migration. Despite his lucrative deal with the EU, flooding Europe with Turkish and Muslim migrants remains an Islamist ideological goal for Turkish leader. Erdogan has repeatedly called upon Turkish Muslim migrants in Europe to increase their birth rate and become the “future of Europe.”

The latest migrant incursion into Europe shows how little European politicians have learned from the Migrant Crisis of 2015. While sneering at those who called for securing the European outer borders, they virtue signaled by promising to ‘Build Bridges Not Walls.’ With no wall or fences to secure Europe, the continent is at the mercy of Turkey’s Islamist regime.

Turkey, under Erdogan, is not to be trusted. Why is Turkey still in NATO?

Why is Erdogan even still in charge of Turkey. He should have been deposed years ago before this whole “migrant” thing became a problem. You know, right when he said he’d allow all migrants into the European Union if they didn’t do what he demanded.

And now they have this to deal with. Thousands of potentially covid-19 infected “migrants” swarming into the EU.

Perhaps Germany and France will welcome them with open arms.

1) It sure looks like an act of war by Turkey to me. Unfortunately, the EU does not believe in fighting wars, even for their own survival. Let alone winning them.

2) The last Muslim invasion of Europe that almost succeeded was stopped by Charles Martel at the Battle of Tours in 732. Roughly Tours is about 120 miles from both the Normandy beachheads and Paris. Northern France.

3) The invading Muslim army at Tours was at most 25,000 which is less than will enter Europe this weekend.

4) The EU belief in open borders and submission is in for a sudden impact with reality.

5) The Brits just barely made it out in time.

Europe, despite their thinking that this is the way to have power, will find they no longer really exist. This is an invasion, and these immigrants are soon going to take over and transform it into a submissive Islamic center.
    Europeans will be wiped out.
This is what our left want to happen here.

Oops meant to hit reply not a down vote. But you forgot the many attempts to capture Vienna by the Ottoman Empire, a proxy for a Muslim invasion, from the 1400s to the 1600s.

Well, since the Ottomans claimed their sultan to be the Caliph in 1362, and both the siege of Vienna and the battle of Vienna were considerably later, I’d say the Ottoman invasion attempts were the Muslim invasion.

Europe has been walking around with a “KICK ME!” sign on their posterior for so long that it’s hard to fault the country that finally took them up on their offer.

We must start telling it like it is.

Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, Western Civiliztion has been in World War THREE

…..with the Globalists and their Middle East Allies attacking

…..much aided and abetted by the 5th Column of BOUGHT Western Politicians!

September 11 1697 the ottoman Turks made their last offensive against Europe. Crushed by the cannons of a polish king. That date chosen by Bin-Laden to seek revenge against the west.

IF the Greeks & Bulgarians want to end this invasion attempt, they need to treat it as an invasion. Just shoot the 100 people who attempt to cross their borders and I guarantee that the rest will run away.

The Gaurdian video shows hordes of young men jamming buses. Not a single woman or child among them.

I suggest Greece and southern Europeans embark these liberalized upholders of freedom onto ships and pass them onto Germany.

Shakes the Great German Emancipator must welcome them with open arms. And if a few hundred(s) ethnic female Teutons get raped in the process of liberalizing these bold Young Men of Islam?

Inshalla.

I still say this is Europe’s punishment for the death of 6 million people just because they were Jewish.

    From Genesis Chapter 12:

“1 Now HaShem said unto Abram: ‘Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto the land that I will show thee.

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing.

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’

I am not terribly religious, but man, that verse 3 has really been prophetic over the ages, hasn’t it?

    (Sorry about the accidental downvote).

European countries must either defend themselves against invasion or they will be destroyed. And the fifth columnists who brought about the catastrophe must be brought to justice.

The same applies to the United States.

Migrants my ass. Invaders.

Shoot them. That’ll slow it down.

The EU is run by pedophile elitists, corrupt hacks, some demented royals, a few opportunistic billionaires and george soros.

Its government is as scummy as the leadershp of the democrat party and the US swamp.

This is why europe is done: islamists will conquer the continent, using wombs instead of bullets.

The US is on a knife-edge of being in Europe’s predicament. We are one election away from disaster.

“The EU is run by pedophile elitists, corrupt hacks, some demented royals, a few opportunistic billionaires and george soros.”

You forgot “frothing, psychotic Jew-haters” in your description of the EU. And that’s important because it is their irrational hatred of Jews that motivates them to let these young Muslim men in.

Can anyone say ‘Taquia’?

Can anyone question the wisdom of Brexit?

Angela Merkel will have caused more damage, misery and deaths than the worst projections of Coronavirus – with a hat tip to H.L. Mencken, the EU countries deserve everything they voted for and deserve to get it good and hard.

“Why is Turkey still in NATO?”

Turkey is still in NATO on the basis of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” The hope was that Turkey would work to neutralize, or at least minimize, Russian influence in the middle east. It’s probably long past time to re-assess whether the cost and risk are worth the benefits here, but, does NATO even have procedures for expelling a member nation?

“The opening of the border is a breach of the 2015 EU-Turkey migrant deal brokered by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.”

Merkel et al have apparently forgotten the lesson of what happens when you pay the Danegeld. Is border enforcement not the responsibility of the EU and its members, and not Turkey’s responsibility at all?

This “betrayal” brings to mind not only tales of Danes and Danegeld, but of trusting scorpions. It’s hardly a secret that Erdogan wants to export ever-more Islamism into Europe. Why would anyone expect Turkey not take the money (and then demand more) and still refuse to deliver the promised goods?

Are EU politicians really so naive as to believe they could ever rely on Turkey to control their borders?
