Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi cannot hide her contempt for President Donald Trump.
At this morning’s press conference, Pelosi said the House impeached Trump “forever” and no one can do anything to “erase that.”
She repeated herself on the floor as they debated the articles of impeachment and her choices as managers.

This impeachment will be remembered by historians as a partisan witch hunt a la the Andrew Johnson impeachment. The names that will be muddied the most will be Schiff, Nadler and Pelosi who will be viewed as sore losers who could not accept losing a fair election and tried to overturn the will of the voters

As others have said, all the House has really done is debased impeachment as a tool. It’s now just a tool for trying to get rid of a President on any excuse whatsoever, including when the President is doing what he’s supposed to be doing. McConnell is right: After today, impeachment will become a regular thing, never again a tool to be deployed with great solemnity and reluctance.
