Racial Attack Used by Media to Smear Mike Pence’s Wife Revealed as Hoax
“To the broader community, who rallied in such passionate support for our daughter, we apologize for betraying your trust.”
A middle school student at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia recently claimed white boys at the school held her down and cut her hair. The media wasted no time trying to pin this controversy to Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, because she works there as a part-time art teacher.
Now we know it was a hoax.
How do we know? Because the girl has admitted it.
FOX 10 in Phoenix reported:
School says Virginia girl’s story about classmates ambushing her, cutting her hair was a hoax
A 12-year-old Virginia girl’s claim that she’d been held down by three classmates who cut her dreadlocks was a hoax, according to school officials.
The alleged incident was reported at the Immanuel Christian School in the Annandale area last week.
Amari Allen – who is African American – told local media that the haircutting was the culmination of a series of bullying incidents involving the same group of students.
Along with the haircutting, she said the boys took her lunch every day and ate it in front of her.
“We can now confirm that the student who accused three of her classmates of assault has acknowledged that the allegations were false. We’re grateful to the Fairfax County Police Department for their diligent work to investigate these allegations,” Head of School Stephen Danish said in a statement.
The girl’s family has even released a statement of apology:

At least the family has apologized. That’s more than anyone can say for the countless media figures who rushed to connect this fake act of hatred to Karen Pence.

Why is the media so quick to believe something like this and propagate the story? Because they want to believe it. They want other people to believe it, too.

Oh, except it didn’t actually happen. And in fact, the story was pretty fishy right from the beginning, and people should have known…
“SIXTH GRADERS HOLD DOWN CLASSMATE, CUT HER DREADLOCKS AT PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WHERE KAREN PENCE TEACHES,” the screaming headline at Newsweek read. Similar headlines implicated Pence in the incident at left-wing outlets ranging from NBC News to the Advocate.
This is liberal media bias at its worst: If Michelle Obama or Jill Biden had volunteered at a school where a crime or some bullying happened to take place later, no news outlet worth its salt would even have reported it as if the two were connected.
So this viral smear of Pence was pretty bogus from the beginning in that the media’s framing of it was extremely disingenuous. But as it turns out, it never even actually happened.
All of the media figures who couldn’t wait to push this dirty and false narrative as a smear piece owe the Pence family, the boys who were accused, and their viewers an apology.

This is what patriotic, truth-seeking Americans are up against. A completely dishonest, malevolent MSM! A very serious problem that indicates progressive demagoguery and propaganda nearing peak levels. Something has got to give. Many conservatives can see through the ruse perpetrated by the MSM, the Democrats, academia, social media et al. The trouble is, that millions of Americans still buy the tripe they’re spewing. I support God, the truth, the Constitution… and I wholeheartedly support President Trump!
I think they want a war. All communists eventually get one. It’s the only way they can win and they know it. That’s why governmental control is always their top priority, they think if they control the enforcers they will win. We will see.
The good news is that more and more people distrust the media, and the media discredits itself further by the day.

Almost every publicized incidence like this turns out to be fabricated.
Maybe every one.
Think about how these things become news stories.
For normal people, someone does something bad to them, they go to the cops, they go to their friends, etc. The last thing they want is a media circus.
Those who run straight to the media are looking for attention. If the story is hot enough, the media will run with it. Before the facts come in.
The media is truly the enemy of the people. Unfortunately, younger generations have been brainwashed/socialized into believing whatever they are told.
Young people are always gullible because they lack enough life experience to know better.
Mark, it’s not just the younger generation. My late mother would have been 99 this year. If it was in the paper or Uncle Walter said it, it was true.
My older brother is worse. He listens to lefty talk radio and soaks it in. Mom was a staunch Rooseveltian Democrat, and ge followed in those footsteps. I’ve no idea why.

When the MSM today report that someone famous has died it’s almost always true too. They don’t lie about things like that. They lie about different things, and they always did.

To minimize this there will need to be a downside. The SJWs face little, if any discipline, life goes on and racism is still toxic.

1. Because they’re not committing treason. The constitution defines treason, and nothing they have done comes even close. If you call for prosecuting them despite the constitution then by your own standards you’re committing treason too; fortunately for you, the constitution says you’re not.
2. Even if they had committed treason, they’re US citizens so they couldn’t be deported. US citizenship, once validly obtained, cannot be taken away. That’s in the constitution too.
Oh, and “prosecuted for treason using the rico statutes” makes no sense.

How do you know they believed it? The truth is irrelevant. The media pushes the narrative. The story is something to be exploited.
The media did not need to believe it. Their job is to get the public to believe it by exploiting it. Truth has no standing.
Until someone is held accountable on these hoaxes they will continue.
It makes one wonder how much of the vaunted “Civil Rights Movement” itself was a scam.

I’m not so sure. For decades I believed Rosa Parks was a beleaguered citizen who just wanted to not be forced to ride in the back of the bus, until I learned that she was an activist who manufactured the cause.

When I first heard of this one, I thought 95% likely hoax, but the New York Times insists on converging on the Weekly World News.

I think we might all give the girl’s family full credit for offering an actual, real apology.
Real apologies have become rare. The norm has become, “I’m sorry if you were offended,” or something equally lame. Including all those “apologies” that attempt to exonerate the speaker, even while casting doubt on those one is supposedly apologizing to.
This apology is none of these: it is that rarity, an honest and complete “Yes, we screwed up and we’re doing our best to fix it” apology.
I think it should be accepted.

This was my reaction, too. It takes guts to own up to one’s child’s bad behavior. All I’d add is that even if the school is too cowardly to impose any punishment, which is all too likely, I hope her family does so in a way that will teach her a lesson she’ll never forget about telling lies (and especially lies that are intended to hurt innocent people).

We’re way past the point at which an apology is adequate. These Lord Haw Haws must be held to account. Like Lord Haw Haw.
Refreshing to see a real apology coming from the family. I hope they also made her issue one, in person, to the boys and their families.
It seems that her family is trying to raise her right, that is a far better than response than we see from most. There is hope for the girl to grow up to be a good person.

Without knowing anything more than what I’ve read here at LI, my bet is on the teachers and the dreaded MSM carrying this hoax out to extremes, and the parents along with the police doing due diligence to find the truth.

The Fairfax County Police need to keep digging and find out who put this kid up to this stunt.
I doubt anyone put her up to it. Her grandmother found that scissors had been taken to her hair, and rather than admit she did it herself and get in trouble she made up a story. Nobody put Tawana Brawley up to it either; she just needed an explanation for why she was out late. I think most of us have been in that situation when we were young; but the stories we came up with didn’t turn into national news stories.
