I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not so much looking to draft articles of impeachment as they are “Dossier 2.0”. The first one was enough to hang a cloud over the Trump admin for nearly 3 years – and it was foreign-made. They must think a domestic dossier will have even more shelf-life – just what they need to sustain the resistance from 2020-2024.

The House changed their Impeachment Rules officially so they can Get Trump.
The Senate needs to do the same thing. They need to grant themselves authority to call and question witnesses under oath.
