Trump begins impeachment counterattack against hypocrites, spies, and Democrats

It seems House Democrats are dead set on impeaching our duly elected president and that extraordinary measures were taken to ensure there’s the smoke-and-mirrors appearance of a there there.  They are not going to have an easy time of it, however, because President Trump and his team are coming out swinging.

I’ve been watching Democrats’ most recent attempt to undo the 2016 presidential election with a mixture of disbelief, nausea, and disgust.  The double-standards and hypocrisy are staggering.

I (almost) couldn’t believe that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) pulled the trigger on impeaching President Trump before the transcript of the call was even released, and I was nonplussed when the nothingburger transcript didn’t do a thing to slow down the impeachment train.

President Trump is, quite understandably, calling this latest “bombshell” of nothingness another witch hunt and fake news.

One of the more effective political ads I’ve seen takes direct aim at the Democrats spearheading this latest attack on Trump.

As noted by Professor Jacobson, the “whistle blower” memo “was a very professionally-done document, likely crafted by a lawyer.”

Indeed, Trump’s lawyer stated the same thing the following day.

The Washington Examiner reports:

President Trump’s personal lawyer Jay Sekulow alleged that the whistleblower complaint filed by an intelligence community official was written by “a law firm.”. . . . Sekulow appeared on Fox & Friends Friday morning to discuss the ongoing saga.He began, “So, when you start with a witness saying, Steve and Brian, ‘I have no knowledge of the events I’m depicting here, and I’m basing this on conversations I had with colleagues of mine, and I think they are trustworthy.’ Well, do you know if they heard it correctly? Well, I don’t know because I don’t have firsthand knowledge. And do you think the whistleblower drafted that complaint? I mean realistically?”

Trump and his legal team are not alone in pushing back, many people are pointing out facts that don’t seem to make the headlines.

Fox News reports:

Trump and his allies are now ramping up their attacks on Democrats, the media, the whistleblower and the various sources who fed information on the president that made its way into the complaint. . . .. . . . But the president and his legal team are fighting back by likening the whistleblower and his or her sources to spies — and questioning whether this is all the work of partisans.”Sounding more and more like the so-called Whistleblower isn’t a Whistleblower at all. In addition, all second hand information that proved to be so inaccurate that there may not have even been somebody else, a leaker or spy, feeding it to him or her? A partisan operative?” Trump tweeted Friday.. . . . On Thursday, acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified publicly before the House Intelligence Committee. Despite being pressed for hours by Democrats, Maguire maintained that the whistleblower complaint was “hearsay” and “second-hand” information—a sentiment Sekulow echoed Friday.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) points out a few home truths about Democrat priorities and motivation.

The GOP has released the following flashback footage of Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) that gets right to the heart of what Democrats are really trying to do:  overturn the 2016 election.

Normal Americans are also fighting back . . . with their wallets.
