feeding frenzy. Feeding Frenzy. FEEDING FRENZY!

We have seen this movie before.

When the media goes on a feeding frenzy against a Republican, there’s nothing like it.

That’s what happened to Mitt Romney in 2012 after the Benghazi debacle in which 4 Americans were killed on Obama and Hillary’s watch. The media wasn’t furious about the murders, it was furious about Romney’s criticism of the Obama administration, Dead Ambassador dragged through streets, MSM furious at Romney criticism of Obama.

It wasn’t the media alone, Democrats and the media moved in sync to damage Romney’s campaign just two months before the election.  It was non-stop, as if the world was ending because Romney supposedly was impolitic in his criticism. The so-called journalists even coordinated their questioning to make sure the necessary gotcha questions were asked of Romney at a press conference.

And of course, some Republicans joined the chorus hoping to be spared the media’s fury.

In the age of Trump, there has been an endless series of media feeding frenzies, again in sync with Democrat political needs. For over two years we had an infinite loop of Russia-collusion, then obstruction of justice, media feeding frenzies.

We are in the mother-of-all feeding frenzy’s over Trump’s tweet about The Squad going back to where they came from to fix the problems there and then returning to show us how it’s done. That feeding frenzy is compounded by a 13-second chant at a Trump rally about sending Ilhan Omar back (to Somalia). Trump said he did not agree with the chant.

Criticism is fine, but the reaction is a complete overreaction, with feigned outrage just cover for political hate of Trump.

There was no such media or Democrat reaction when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez compared the United States to Nazi Germany by terming the detention centers for illegal immigrants “concentration camps,” and then doubling and tripling down on it. When Ilhan Omar, who previously suggested that Israel had “hypnotized the world,” said support for Israel was all about “the Benjamins” (money from Jewish donors), the Democrats refused to pass a resolution condemning specifically Omar and anti-Semitism, instead passing a watered down condemnation of all hate. When Rashida Tlaib engaged in Holocaust minimization and inversion, Democrats and the media made like it was no big deal. When Ayanna Pressley recently made an incredibly racist statement in response to Trump that she has no need for brown and black people who don’t hold brown and black views, it barely registered a blip on the media radar.

Had any one of The Squad been Republicans, the media would have savaged them. Instead, they are media and social media heroes who expertly play victim.

The Squad should be criticized for their bigotry and hate. That doesn’t mean they should should be told to go back to where they came from, because in three of the four cases they came from here, and in Omar’s case she’s a U.S. citizen (unless the allegations of immigration fraud are proven, in which case her citizenship could be revoked as it was for Rasmea Odeh).

But it’s not deserving of the round-the-clock feeding frenzy we’re now experiencing. These media feeding frenzies work in only one direction.

Notice how little attention the Antifa activist who tried to firebomb an ICE center received once it became clear he wasn’t a Trump supporter. There would have been a feeding frenzy had the media and Democrats been able to blame Trump’s “rhetoric.” The media didn’t blame AOC’s rhetoric for the firebombing, or Democrat rhetoric for the Antifa attack on journalist Andy Ngo and the shooting of Republican congressmen including Steve Scalise.

So spare me this feeding frenzy.
