Cory Booker Helps Five Female Asylum Seekers Cross Into America

First O’Rourke. Now Booker. Which candidate will go to Mexico next?

https://twitter.com/andrewkimmel/status/1146536991275855872

2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Cory Booker (NJ) took a page out of rival Robert O’Rourke’s book when he went to Mexico to speak with those sent back to Mexico after our government denied them asylum.

Booker took it one step further by bringing five female asylum seekers with him back to America.

I am not kidding. When O’Rourke went to Mexico to speak with migrants, I asked who will copy him and venture into the country.

The five women went back to Mexico under the Migrant Protection Protocols program, “which sends asylum seekers back to Mexico to await court hearings in the U.S.”

From The El Paso Times:

Booker walked with the women to the top of the international bridge, where U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have for months been stopping asylum seekers from setting foot in the U.S. The CBP officers appeared to be expecting the senator and welcomed the women and their attorneys, who proceeded single-file toward the U.S. port of entry.

“These women had really horrific stories,” Booker told reporters once in El Paso. “They are survivors of sexual violence, attacks. They are being preyed upon. They have legitimate fears. This policy that we have, what it’s doing is pushing people who are already vulnerable back into a dangerous situation.”

Las Americas Linda Rivas explained the crimes committed against the woman took place before they went to America, and after they came back to Mexico.

Did Booker break the law? Some accused him of breaking the law from 1907. It’s Title 8, U.S.C. 1324(A) and subsection 1324(a)(1), which “prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts.”

The law‘s “Subsection 1324(a)(2) prohibits bringing or attempting to bring unauthorized aliens to the United States in any manner whatsoever, even at a designated port of entry.”

The visit came a day after Booker released a plan to fix our immigration system. Once again, I have to remind people the Democrats had full control of DC for two years and did nothing to fix immigration.

Is anyone surprised Booker said he would use his executive authority to reform the system? Orange Man bad when he wields executive power, but not Democrats.

Anyway, Booker said he would reform the system by:

  • Treating immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers with dignity
  • Putting forward a new vision for modernizing immigration
  • Addressing the root causes of the migration and refugee crisis
  • Reaffirming our values by expanding protections for immigrants and rolling back the Trump Administration’s anti-immigrant policies

I noticed the immigration plan targets many policies implemented by President Donald Trump, but nothing to act on the immigration laws we have had on the books for decades.

There is something bothering me about this that nobody has addressed. Why on earth are we granting asylum to immigrants from Central America? Is there some kind of genocide going on down there that we’ve never heard of? Poverty is not a justification for asylum, neither is high crime.

Exactly. If the climate is as progressive as they claim, then there is reasonable cause for a military intervention in order to mitigate the progress of immigration reform forced casualties and collateral damage at both ends of the bridge and throughout, as well as children, women, and men tossed aside, left behind. We could also Gaddafi (i.e. sodomize and abort) them anyway, and call it social justice.

    Gremlin1974 in reply to rdmdawg. | July 5, 2019 at 10:37 pm

That’s kind of the point we aren’t granting Asylum to them, but then they are released into the US and about 70% of them never show up for their asylum hearing because they know they are going to be sent back.

Edward in reply to rdmdawg. | July 6, 2019 at 8:29 am

Because Congress was particularly sloppy in the last re-write of this section of the Immigration statute. It was likely because there was no expectation this situation would occur a couple of decades (plus) later (probable, I don’t think even the Socialist-Democrats think that far ahead).

So the illegal aliens have been coached in the story which meets the minimum requirement to enable them to have a hearing. Because we don’t have sufficient Immigration Judges to hold hearings promptly, they are released to “wait their hearing”, when the vast majority never show up.

Why Central American citizens (and now even people from other continents)? Because the same statute does not allow immediate deportation. Immediate deportation is limited to countries which are contiguous with US borders, so only citizens of Canada and Mexico can be sent back across the border the same day or shortly thereafter.

It isn’t an aberration that this abuse of the asylum process erupted during the last administration.

Also Obama’s administration intentionally lost the Flores matter, signing a consent agreement that forces us to release children into the interior of the US.

And unless we also release adults with them, we’re “breaking up families” bla bla bla.

Obama loved child trafficking and did all he could to make it impossible to stop.

Skankywoman | July 5, 2019 at 6:14 pm

And NJ Governor just signed an executive order to make a Department Office of New Americans to help immigrants and refugees resettle here to help these illegals. Ashamed to be from NJ. sigh.

    oldgoat36 in reply to Skankywoman. | July 5, 2019 at 8:26 pm

This is a prime example of why sanctuary cities and states should have all the illegals be sent to them. Let it overwhelm their system ala Cloward Piven, time to let their policies start hurting the people who gave them power. If the majority in a state elected these idiots who want to give away our country, then let them have to suffer for it.

It’s too bad those who oppose these actions have zero say in these laws being passed in their name.

Hmmmm, I get this feeling that when Booker* took the 5 USC section 3331 oath of office (pursuant to Article VI of the Constitution), that he really didn’t mean it.

*As a stand-in for any Democrat

“I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Innocent question. If they were sent back to Mexico after applying for asylum, then their asylum requests are being processed, so why would they need to present themselves for asylum a second time? Also, how would presenting themselves for asylum while already on American soil advance their cases for asylum?

    Gremlin1974 in reply to JBourque. | July 5, 2019 at 10:40 pm

Step 1: Come and request asylum
Step 2: Return to Mexico to wait for determination hearing.
Step 3: Hearing to determine if they qualify for asylum.

Previously step 2 was to release them into the us and have them pinky swear to show up for their determination hearing, which only about 30% of them did.

Like I said. There’s virtually no way this helps their cause in the actual hearings. The only purpose could be to smuggle them into the general population?

Revision: Since the border patrol apparently welcomed them all in good order, that’s nice, but… there seems to have been no point, unless the women were going to their hearings in which case, just use a port of entry..? I think I tried too hard to rhetorically make sense of the senseless.

Was it another Spartacus moment for him?

alaskabob in reply to MrE. | July 5, 2019 at 7:08 pm

Yes, on the road between Capua and Rome….. figuratively… of course.

Context from Wiki: “In modern times, Spartacus became an icon for communists and socialists. Karl Marx listed Spartacus as one of his heroes and described him as “the most splendid fellow in the whole of ancient history” and a “great general (though no Garibaldi), noble character, real representative of the ancient proletariat”.[52] Spartacus has been a great inspiration to left-wing revolutionaries, most notably the German Spartacus League (1915–18), a forerunner of the Communist Party of Germany.”

The real Spartacus was an unruly loser and not Kirk Douglas.

Arminius in reply to alaskabob. | July 6, 2019 at 7:41 am

How dare you tell me about the “real” Spartacus! There is no such thing as objective truth (which in and of itself is an objective truth statement but let that go for a second).

Your concept of truth is simply an artifact of the white cisgendered heteronormative oppressive patriarchy.

According to my truth (note; according to the new rules everybody is entitled to their own truth since there is no actual truth) Spartacus was a lesbian trans person of color and if you disagree with me you are an evil bigoted Islamophobic woman hating xenophobe who won’t sleep with women with penises. Because some women have penises.

      So there, garbage person.

Arminius in reply to Arminius. | July 6, 2019 at 8:08 am

I was going for the win in the Academy’s “use of leftist buzzwords” category in motion picture productions.

        How did I do?

Edward in reply to Arminius. | July 6, 2019 at 8:35 am

Well, I certainly won’t sleep with “women” with penises (i.e. mentally ill males), so you probably hit the nail on the head.

Showing everybody that Americans are not at the top of his priority list. Sure, that will work.

    n.n in reply to Exiliado. | July 5, 2019 at 7:48 pm

That, and his action is for show, helping five women of hundreds of thousands, ignoring thousands of Obama’s caged children, who are caught in immigration reform annually. The people left behind. The Americans whose civil rights and sometime their lives and dignity are demoted. Even the President of El Salvador understands that the problem is immigration reform, and an acute progression of anti-nativism, and the solution is emigration reform and civil rights.

Then there is the problem of Booker et al withholding funds and resources to mitigate the progress of immigration reform, and AOC et al and certain banks even kneeling to harass companies providing services and resources to manage the crisis.

      Gremlin1974 in reply to n.n. | July 5, 2019 at 10:44 pm

Ok, everyone does realize that this was a pre-planned PR stunt set up right? I mean these 5 poor female “asylum seekers”, you know naked and afraid…..BS.

“The CBP officers appeared to be expecting the senator and welcomed the women and their attorneys,”

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free……and their Attorneys!”

What a pitiful crock of BS.

Immigration reform in lieu of emigration reform. Also, placing Americans second and third (i.e. Pro-Choice).

“victims of abuse”. That assumes facts not in evidence, Mr. Kimmel. And even if they were, so what? That’s a domestic (in their country of origin) law enforcement matter, not a reason to flee thousands of miles and violate both our and Mexico’s border.

Speaking of Mexico, I don’t for a moment believe anything they’re saying and doing regarding the border, at least in English. It’s pretty clear in Spanish-language media that this is in large part about reconquista, not alleged conditions in Mexico. The GOP hacks who say Mexicans are “natural Republicans” are damn fools or liars, Mexican politics is thoroughly corrupt and Mexican voters like heavy gun control. Why anybody thinks they’d vote in lockstep with American values and interests is beyond me.

They pulled the same spectacle after waging social justice in Libya, Syria, etc., cover-ups of immigration reform, the trail of tears, dunking children in the Mediterranean, etc.; but, curiously, not in Kiev, when their motives fell short of democracy, and the progression was socially approved.

Sparticus the coyote.

The Friendly Grizzly | July 5, 2019 at 7:51 pm

And he will never be arrested.

Hit it, Tony!

“South of the borrr-der,

where ‘da tuna fish play…”

How is it not an illegal act on Spartacus’s part to do this? When will the people of this country start demanding that these leftist National Socialists start working for the United States instead of for illegal immigrants? When will turds like Booker (along with his imaginary friend T-Bone) be held accountable to the people who put them in power, not to work for those who look to break our laws from other countries, but to work for the taxpayers who pay their salaries?

If he broke US laws by dong this, he should be prosecuted for it. Let him fight it out in court.

    Arminius in reply to oldgoat36. | July 6, 2019 at 7:13 am

I would never use the left’s terminology. But if I were, just to make a point, I would say I’m offended by Corey Booker’s cultural appropriation of Spartacus.

Spartacus was by all accounts a Thracian. Thrace was a region in southern Europe on the shores of the Aegean between Greece and the Bosporus. So Spartacus looked like my greasy southern European olive picking papist self (OK, there was no pope in 70BC so I’m taking artistic liberties) than the rich privileged Ivy league educated kid of IBM executives Corey Booker.

At the height of empire Italy had a population that consisted of twenty five percent slaves. Compania, the region of Italy where my family is from and where Spartacus started his slave revolt, was over forty percent slave.

Point being I’m told by “thought leaders” like Ta Nehisi Coates that being a descendant of slaves is an eternal claim on the bank accounts of others.

Fine. Considering the slave/free mix of the population of the region of Italy my family hails from, somebody owes me a lot of cash. And nobody dare tell me that it was too long ago. 200 or 2000 years, I’m told by the race hustlers, doesn’t matter the claim is eternal.

So, what office do I show up at to demand my handout? Because instead of taking the opportunity to grow up and take some responsibility for my own destiny I’m a f***ing loser who can’t make his own way in the world because I’m forever condemned to wallow in the memory that at some point in the distant past some of my ancestors were slaves.

Pity me and pay the f*** up, b****es.

This story is not in the local newspaper.

So I guess “going to the border, talking to “immigrants” is going to be the thing for the candidates to do now.
When is Elizabeth Warren scheduled to appear?
I wonder if Bernie will stop by…

You fell into their trap and used their terminology. The correct headline:

Cory Booker Helps Five Female Alien Invaders Cross Into America

We need Trump to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Mexico’s interference into our elections.
We can give them a broad swath of authority so if they happen to look into violations of the housing authority or say some income tax cheating then they’ll be allowed to follow it to the end.

Arrest for aiding and abetting? He’s no different than a coyote…

“These women had really horrific stories,” Booker told reporters once in El Paso. “They are survivors of sexual violence, attacks. They are being preyed upon. They have legitimate fears.

Sucks to be them. Not a valid reason for an asylum claim.

Get in line.

Edward in reply to MTED. | July 6, 2019 at 8:42 am

The situation which Booker alleges is reported to be a somewhat common result of the trek to the US border. Had they stayed home the chances of their being preyed upon and sexually attacked would be, by comparison, infinitesimal.

From what I have read, CoryBoy is not exactly a lady’s man sort of guy.

Isn’t that a Felony?

healthguyfsu | July 5, 2019 at 10:36 pm

I thought the left told us that sexual violence is an epidemic here? What asylum would be sought in our current US of rampant sexual crime and rape culture?

Also, it seems like you can come up with some messed up stories of domestic and law enforcement issues and be granted asylum if Dems have their way.

Also known as aiding and abetting.

Why did CBP allow them in? Booker’s status as a senator doesn’t give him the authority to bring people into this country illegally.

“These women had really horrific stories”.

I’m sure they did Booker.

And I’m sure they were very well rehearsed.

Talk to any Border Patrol agent. They ALL tell sob stories.

There was a recording a few years ago of a Border Patrol agent interviewing people that had been apprehended in a caravan.

They told THE SAME sob story. As in, word for word the same. They had very clearly memorized the same story.

The smugglers and coyotes know the system, they know the buzzwords, and they coach everybody that goes across.

Asylum is a ****ing joke. 99% of them are phony.

The “Death to America” party, aka by their criminal alias “Democrats,” aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. They are going directly to Mexico to recruit the non-citizens they need for their voters.

I know I have more to contribute to a meaningful discussion. But I kind of lose hope living in a country where Alexandria Occasional Cortex and Ilhan Omar have become the defacto power brokers.

Maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day. And I still have beer.

Tomorrow.

These Democrat Candidates vying for the nomination are giving the very strong impression that to them illegal aliens are more important than American citizens. While millions of Americans cannot afford healthcare premiums and cannot qualify for government subsidies, these candidates want to give free health care to illegal aliens. The same is true for veterans seeking to be able to use their benefits at healthcare providers outside the extremely inefficient VA. Even worse, these candidates are looking to eliminate the border so Americans can work hard and be taxed such that their families are the ones who suffer just so that these non-Americans can be subsidized. Joseph Heller could not make up anything this absurd.

harleycowboy | July 6, 2019 at 8:11 am

Arrest Booker for helping someone commit a felony.

Yet another Socialist-Democrat who not only will not honor his Oath of Office, but creates photo ops and campaign events featuring violating the laws they have sworn to uphold.

2smartforlibs | July 6, 2019 at 9:50 am

DOes Farticus realize he violated federal law? When he did that he violated TITLE 8 USC 1324. Seems in his own logic that’s enough to keep him form higher office. SO where is the DOJ

1. These women’s horrific stories are the ones that they are coached to tell.
2. Booker seems to be dealing in human sex trafficking.
3. If their lives are so bad, why didn’t they just seek asylum in Mexico?
4. By entering the U.S. illegally a second time, I would think they would be barred from getting back into the country.

Why is LI parroting Fake News? The gay rapist didn´t help asylum seekers. He helped illegal aliens.

Booker’s “plan” is to open the border. Duh.

What a shame the Border Patrol didn’t lock him out. Or at least make him drink out of the toilet.

This is going to come out wrong no matter how I say it. So I want it to be known no matter how anyone takes it I was prepared for the consequences.

I have never been so desperate for women I had to go to Mexico and recruit them. And I say this as a Sailor. Not even a Senator. So I have discovered marriage material from India, the Phillipines, three states, Canada, and Germany. And I never lied once.

All the women you could count on a ballot would flock to me if if I promised to take the pad lock off the reefers.

I’m thinking Panama. And “Just Cause” or “Just Because” as we Navy types remember it.

I’d take the pad lock off the refrigerator if I didn’t have to feed the whole world. Which is why I have an immigration policy. I’m not giving the key to just anybody.

I would get into the ring with Joe Louis. The Brown Bomber. Or Rocco Marcheghgeegianio. you may more conventional Americans may know him as Rocky Mariano.

Or basically, F.U. I’ll give the world the finger if that’s what it’s gooing to ttake. I bet someone thinks I am kidding.

and Im the one who did three, three minute rounds.
