Despite being an anti-Trump leftist, every once in a while, HBO’s Bill Maher says something accurate. During a recent episode of his ‘Real Time’ program, he called out Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for continuing his pursuit of Trump after the Mueller report found no Russia collusion.

Now the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, he told Maher he disagreed with the notion a sitting president couldn’t be indicted, but he said regardless the Mueller report showed Trump was unfit for the presidency.Maher, who has called Trump a traitor for his conduct, told his guest on Real Time that the American people weren’t into “details” as he wondered if Democrats had missed their shot.”But this was our big gun,” Maher said. “Now it just looks like you’re stalking him, I think, in the eyes of the people who don’t follow it that closely, which is most of the country.”

Maher is correct to suggest that many Americans perceive Schiff and other Democrats in this way. Now that the Russia narrative has flat-lined, they’re moving the goal posts to go after Trump’s finances.

A committee source told The Daily Beast that Fallon started this week.Schiff announced earlier this year that the committee will look at Trump’s finances to see if his personal interests are influencing his decisions as president. “That pertains to any credible allegations of leverage by the Russians or the Saudis or anyone else,” he said, according to CNN.
It’s almost like it was never really about Russia to begin with, but rather about invalidating Trump’s 2016 victory and his presidency at any cost.
Schiff has no shame. In the tweet below, he has the nerve to accuse the Trump administration of advancing a ‘false public narrative’ about the Mueller investigation. Talk about projection.
