Amash’s Call for Trump’s Impeachment Draws a Primary Challenger

“I just got tired of him attacking our president and not providing any real solutions to anything. It’s easy to be a no vote all the time — you see that in Lansing sometimes, too.”

Rep. Amash, Never Trumper supreme, recently called for Trump’s impeachment, making him the lone Republican to do so. Fuzzy blogged about Amash’s vanity move this past weekend.

You know it’s bad when even Sen. Romney, whose criticism of Trump (the manner in which he engaged in his rebuff of Trump’s lack of statesmanship still disappoints me a little) has been unavoidable since he was passed over for the Secretary of State gig, refuses to join your lonely little dogpile.

You don’t have to like Trump or even be pro-Trump to recognize that the calls for impeachment are purely political warfare. But anyway.

Rep. Amash’s disdain for the president has drawn a primary challenger — state lawmaker Rep. Jim Lower who claims Amash is “out of touch” with his district.

From The Detroit News:

Rep. Jim Lower’s announcement came after Amash, a vocal Trump critic, declared Saturday that he believes President Donald Trump’s conduct has met the “threshold of impeachment.”

Amash, a fifth-term congressman, is the first Republican lawmaker in Congress to break with Trump over the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

Lower, a Greenville Republican and former Amash supporter, was planning to launch his campaign around the Fourth of July, but he adjusted his timetable after Amash’s statements on impeachment, which he said could not stand.

“After what happened on Saturday, it just made sense to get in right away and make sure people in the community knew there was a pro-Trump conservative ready to take him on,” Lower said in an interview.

“I just got tired of him attacking our president and not providing any real solutions to anything. It’s easy to be a no vote all the time — you see that in Lansing sometimes, too,” Lower added.

“But what takes actual talent is working with your colleagues and realizing it’s a team and compromising with the party and people on the other side of the aisle.”

Amash’s campaign could not be reached for comment.

Amash is a well-known contrarian but even contrarians run the risk of crossing the proverbial line, especially when they begin to sound much more like Democrat activists than anything close to Republican. There should be room for ideas and politicians outside of the binary structure, but I don’t think that’s where Amash falls on this one. Not when you could insert his tweet into any Democrat politician’s account and it pass muster.

How bad is it for Amash? Dan Rather endorsed Amash’s calls for impeachment. DAN.RATHER.:

So, yeah. Good luck with that.

Stand in “principle” die on your sword. Bye Bye Justin. Have fun playing blocks will Bill Kristol

I’m not really hearing promising noises here.

Odd definition of “talent”. The D’rats are honing the tactics of “rule-by-petulance”; imagine trying to keep order in a kindergarten by “compromising” with the most disruptive of the little buggers.

Along with some others, we figured out yesterday what’s really motivating Amash – he comes from Palestinian “Christian” roots, immigrated to Michigan, and like all Palestinians, even the “christian” ones, he absolutely hates Jews. And he cannot stand seeing Trump being so warm and friendly to Israel. So, it’s just a case of another modern day nazi letting us all see his black and red armband, for Amash the Palestinian it comes out in his Trump hatred.

Don’t forget that Amash’s family tool business (which manufacturers in China) is going to take financial hit because of Trump’s trade policies.

He’s starting to sound like a typical liberal…where his alligator mouth has overpowered his humming bird assh*le.

I hope they’re holding his job at the local 7-11, at least he’ll have an occupation to return to….pumping slurpy’s on the night shift!

if’n he gets primaried out, he’ll get a massive retirement at taxpayer expense and then a nice cushy gig on MSNBC or CNN or maybe even as Chris Wallace’s sidekick on Fox.
Yea, if he gets booted out of congress, life will really suck for him.

Pretty much describes the entire conservatard #NeverTrump movement; long on self righteous anger, but very short on actual solutions.

Unfortunately, he’s not the only one who needs to be primaried.

No better proof of that than Republican in Name Only (RINO) and “Never Trumper”, Mitch McCommunist who couldn’t get Obamacare Repealed, wouldn’t fully fund the Border Wall, and has no interest in Immigration Reform to stop the illegal alien cockroach invasion………… BUT HE IS ALL ABOUT THE BUSINESS OF RAISING THE LEGAL AGE TO BUY TOBACCO TO 21?????????

Like Amash, McCommunist is compromised too given this wife’s family business that is based in New York, Chao Shipping, is dependent upon Communist Chinese Revenues, which we imagine may involve cocaine too, i.e., https://thefreethoughtproject.com/90-pounds-cocaine-cargo-ship-owned-anti-drug-senators-family.

For those impatient with the progress made on the campaign promises, they should look no further than the gaggle of less than useless Republicans supporting us and the decades long culmination of sins that took many election cycles to develop. Anybody who believed it would only take one election cycle to fix, was not being honest with themselves and quite unrealistic. Fact of the matter, except for President Trump who is a General without an Army, WE THE PEOPLE HAVE NO REPRESENTATION IN OUR GOVERNMENT ANYMORE AND THAT FAIRLY RESEMBLES WHAT OUR COLONIAL FOUNDERS HAD UNDER KING GEORGE III.

With fired liar Socialist Demtard Dan Rather supporting Amash, that ought to help conservative Republicans decide to bench traitor Amash permanently and electin Jim Lower.
