Former Hillary Press Sec. Tied to Effort to Get Kavanaugh Fired From GMU

As we’ve noted in a Quick Take, there is an effort underway to get Justice Brett Kavanaugh fired from a teaching job at George Mason University.

What we didn’t know until now is that one of the actors in this campaign is former Hillary Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon.

Beth Baumann reports at Townhall:

Here’s How One Former Hillary Staffer Is Working To Shape The News Cycle Over Kavanaugh’s ‘Misconduct’

Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Press Secretary, Brian Fallon, is now Executive Director of Demand Justice, a liberal advocacy group. When Fallon found out about George Mason University student’s calls for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s firing, the group began running Facebook ads in support of the cause. Those who called for Kavanaugh’s firing signed the petition “Mason For Survivors.”

Demand Justice is actively running ads targeting George Mason students, encouraging them to sign a petition that would “terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh at George Mason University” over Kavanaugh’s alleged misconduct. The group also wants students to sign another petition which calls on Congress to investigate the sitting Supreme Court justice.

“Brett Kavanaugh has been credibly accused of sexual assault by multiple women whose allegations have not been thoroughly investigated,” Fallon told the Huffington Post. “His confirmation to the Supreme Court does not absolve him of guilt, and he should not be given a platform to teach. We stand with survivors and urge the George Mason University administration to fire Kavanaugh.”

Demand Justice is advancing their message with ads on social media. See the screencap of a Facebook ad in the tweet below:

Lukas Mikelionis of FOX News has more on this:

Ex-Clinton official leads ‘dark money’ effort to boot Kavanaugh from teaching gig

A top aide to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign — now leading a liberal “dark money” group — is backing a student effort at George Mason University to get Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh fired from teaching a summer course over misconduct allegations.

A student group calling itself “Mason For Survivors” began circulating a petition last month, so far attracting nearly 5,000 signatures, urging to “terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh at George Mason University” on the grounds that the justice was accused of misconduct.

But the campaign is being given a partisan boost thanks to Brian Fallon, former press secretary for Clinton’s 2016 campaign, who’s now in charge of Demand Justice, a liberal advocacy group that doesn’t disclose its funding.

Fallon and his group are paying for Facebook ads that target anyone linked with George Mason University, urging them to sign the petition, in addition to signing a separate petition that calls upon the Democrats in Congress to investigate Kavanaugh, the HuffPost reported.

Here’s a video report from FOX:

Had Hillary won the 2016 election, Fallon would likely be the White House press secretary right now. Instead, he has been reduced to running a smear campaign for a liberal ‘dark money’ group.

Be glad these people lost.

LOL sick the Feds on him he worked for Billary

His confirmation to the Supreme Court does not absolve him of guilt

This part is perfectly true. Supposing the allegations were credible in the first place they’d still be just as credible, and it would be appropriate for the university to fire him. The problem here is that the allegations weren’t credible, and were only ever advanced for the purpose of preventing his confirmation. Therefore the moment he was confirmed they lost all point and thus have not been pursued.

Kavanaugh’s “guilt” was never established. Not in any court of law, and certainly not in that clown-show of a congressional hearing, where the only so-called “credible” accuser, Blasey-Ford, was a woman with an obvious political bias who had waited 35 years to make her accusation, and whose congressional testimony was riddled with inconsistencies, if not outright lies.

The evidence of Kavanaugh’s alleged sex crimes would never have passed the giggle test with a real jury, whereas there is a mountain of evidence of the much more serious and destructive federal crimes committed by Fallon’s former boss Hillary Clinton that would have landed her in prison for life, if only we’d had an FBI and DOJ that were not thoroughly corrupt and had been willing to prosecute her.

There exist a litany of credible allegations against Mrs. Clinton, land fraud, contributing to the untimely death of business associates, selling uranium to Russian for Clinton library contributions. Yet these a dismissed as just old news.

      “Kavanaugh’s “guilt” was never established…”

Nothing was established. Except the corruption and perjury so rampant in our government.

and it would be appropriate for the university to fire him.

It would? I’ve never heard of a job offer being contingent on the employee being totally accusation-free.

Some conditions of employment are obvious; a discovery (not a mere accusation) of fabricated credentials, say, would get most anyone fired. But credentials would have been one of the reasons they were hired in the first place, so credentials which don’t actually exist are relevant to the job.

The attacks on Kavanaugh were not relevant to the job, even if they could be shown to have merit.

I am concerned about the notion that someone can be fired for “credible” accusations. For millions of Americans Ford’s evidence-free accusation were “credible”. Does the school have an appeals process that the accused can follow?

If George Mason dumps Kavanaugh, it will NOT be because the allegations against him suddenly produced evidence. Rather, it will either be (1) rank cowardice in the face of a howling lynch mob, or (2) the school has decided to join the howling lynch mob itself.

It is interesting that what the Left falsely accused McCarthy of over a half century ago is now their standard operating procedure when dealing with those whom they disagree with. Instead of the term “McCarthyism” perhaps it should be called “Tolerancing”.

I doubt Kavanaugh needs the money, and also doubt he doesn’t have other things to do with however much time he spends doing this. So the only losers, if he is booted from GWU, will be the students who are deprived of his lectures and teaching. Wonder how many students who actually take/have taken his course(s) are signing the petitions.

Seems beside the point. How he wishes to spend his time should not be up to some hate filled lowlife who is butt hurt over Hillary who is looking to get some small revenge on anyone tied with Trump.

Likely none of them, since the teaching gig is a few thousand miles away on another continent

I believe this GMU, not GWU. George Mason refused to sign the Constitution, citing the lack of a bill of rights.

the deep state must continually be fought,
if we are to keep any semblance of freedom.

that FB can be so successful in traumatizing our young people with all manor of BS is a fact which we must counter on a hourly basis.

Textbook and classic case of tortious interference.

olafauer in reply to maxmillion. | April 14, 2019 at 1:56 pm

So this loser Fallon decides to conduct a “tortious interference” against a sitting Supreme Court Justice. I hope Justice Kavanaugh’s lawyers sue this man child into oblivion.

Maybe every one of us should just start making accusations against these people. It doesn’t matter if it’s a lie, or unproven, just accuse them and demand they lose their jobs because it’s a serious accusation, merit or truth be damned.

They should be treated as they are treating others.

They are bullies. They should be treated as such, and with bullies you punch them right back in the nose twice as hard.

HRC is in the cross hairs for prison time on the basis of Servergate alone. Then there is the U1 incident and the pay for play activities of the Clinton Foundation, which could involve both she and her husband. Whether Kavanaugh continues teaching at GMU or not is of no real consequence to him. Impeaching him over the current allegations is a non-starter. But, the threat of restricting private sector employment for Trump associates and government employees is just another way to put pressure on those in the administration. It is like a gangster selling “insurance” killing your dog to gain compliance. This is all about protecting certain people in this country. Keep your nose out of this or this could happen to you too.

Typical journo-failure. The Clintons end up with a vast collection of losers. Bill should divorce the beast and start his own reality TV show and use Fallon as a eunuch pimp or cabana boy.

“…does not absolve him of guilt…”

Would someone please tell rucking fetard Fallon that actual evidence of guilt is required, and not an iota of credible evidence has been presented?

He’s teaching at “Runnymede, England, a bucolic borough 20 miles from London along the River Thames.

At the site where the Magna Carta was sealed 804 years ago, laying the groundwork for constitutional democracy, the judge will teach a course on the origins of the U.S. Constitution to students at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School — 3,600 miles from the Arlington campus.”

So. Not a single one of these snowflakes will attend. It’s just an old paper signed, like, a long time ago, by some old white dudes

It’d be interesting to see this guy’s tax return, wouldn’t it?

It’d be fun watching him justify the size of his assets against the income he has declared.

There is no such thing as a “former” Clinton staffer. You’re in for life.

They keep demanding a civil war. Sooner rather than later they will get one.

They will lose, badly.

Not a smart move, when it is uncovered that the threat against Brett Kavanaugh was a fake campaign that inception was the SDNY FBI there is going to be more questions about what role possible Brian Fallon and the Clinton’s played in this. It is interesting that Ford’s best friend was connected to SDNY FBI and so is Schumer and so is Preet Bharara. All treason seems to originate from that office.

The allegations weren’t credible to begin with and Ford put on an unconvincing show. And we learned that she lied about at least 6 things, even though she was not vigorously cross-examined. End of story, except that’s it’s amazing that Fallon claims there were credible allegations by several women. He sounds like Avenetti. Fallon is not credible.

The Harpy Hag his former employer, needs to spend the rest of her worthless natural life in a prison cell, with fresh orange pantsuits every day.

The worst thing about all this is the vile, leftist fake-news industry that gives these morons a public platform for their lunacy and false accusations. This isn’t news, but attempted character assassination for political purposes. A legitimate news organization wouldn’t report a continuous stream of unfounded accusations. There should be something real and provable about a story to make it news, something beyond an opportunity to attack political opponents by accusations manufactured out of thin air.
