Trump: “The Democrats have become an anti-Israel party. They’ve become an anti-Jewish party.”

The 2020 battle lines are drawn, and they are being drawn by the far-left of the Democrat Party, then amplified by Republicans.

The first battle line results from Democrats’ embrace of socialism, 2020 Battle Lines: Capitalism and Growth (R) versus Socialism and Degrowth (D).

That a divide Democrats created, and Republicans will be happy to fight that battle in 2020.

Another battle line has been drawn by far-left Democrats who hate Israel and are the energy in the part, as evidenced most prominently by Ihlan Omar. Omar repeatedly has asserted not only that the Jewish state manipulates the world, but that the supporters of Israel are bought off by “Benjamins,” are disloyal to the U.S., and have pledged allegiance to a foreign power.

Ihlan’s comments were defended by a wide range of Democrat Socialist and far-left activists, as well as representatives Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Democrats who originally wanted to condemn Ihlan and antisemitism were bullied into a watered down resolution condemning a wide-range of identity hatreds, a transparent attempt to protect Omar.

This is a battle in Democrats drew, and Trump is happy to campaign on it:

“I thought yesterday’s vote by the House was disgraceful. Because the Democrats have become an anti-Israel party. They’ve become an anti-Jewish party. And I thought that vote was a disgrace. And so does everybody else if you get an honest answer. If you get an honest answer from politicians, they thought it was a disgrace. The Democrats have become an anti-Israel party, they’ve become an anti-Jewish party. And that’s too bad.”

It is going to be hard for Democrats to erase the fault lines they have created. Republicans have no intention of letting them.
