Rally held before a packed house
Ted Cruz is holding a massive campaign rally in Wichita Falls, a tiny town in north Texas, just inside Texas’ Oklahoma border.
The rally was scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM CT. Cruz and Don Jr. are expected to take the stage around 4:00 PM CT.

At the last minute, the Cruz campaign was scrambling to find more space after the event sold out.

Capped at 1,000, the free political rally featuring U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and Donald Trump Jr. at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Multi-Purpose Events Center was sold out Tuesday morning, according to Eventbrite.
But organizers are negotiating with MPEC for more space and say no one will be turned away, said Jackie Spragins, president of the Wichita County Republican Women, in an email sent out at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday.
“I think we can fill up Kay Yeager Coliseum,” Spragins said.
She encouraged people to keep trying to register.
The tickets are free through Eventbrite at this link, but the event is listed as “sold out” and provides no way to register.

I have a class to teach shortly, so I had to stay home. Friends at the rally are guessing the headcount inside is 3000, plus overflow room and people outside who knew they wouldn’t get inside.
This is the middle of the week and the middle of a workday.
O’Rourke’s last stop here was in a banquet hall with barely 400 people attending – I’ve used the hall for lots of events, it holds around 600.
3k in Wichita Falls is a huge crowd – only thing bigger in town is the hotter n hell bike race with 12k-14k riders (the hotels rip the cyclist off)
That being said – It doesnt surprise me that Cruz had 10x crowd in WF. Buto/Beto’s territory is the big cities, austin, dallas, el paso & San antonio & houston
I am in one of the northern suburbs of dallas and Buto/Beto has a strong presence.
I hope Ted remembers to say something nice about Trump for a change. If he had played his cards smarter in 2016, he wouldn’t be in the mess he’s in.
He’s been a better supporter than half the GOPe Senate, easily.
Maybe if Trump hadn’t slandered his family…..

I don’t believe the polls on thus race. No way Abbott wins by 14 points and then 16% of voters voting for Abbott switch parties and vote Beto.
Senator Cruz, nor anyone on his staff leak a nude picture of Mrs. Trump. That’s a terrible thing to say about Senator Cruz.

O’Rourke doesn’t stand a chance. Which is good, because Cruz is one of the few trustworthy Senators.
And one of Trump’s strongest supporters, although the Trumpbots don’t seem to be aware of it.
