Elections bring out the best and brightest our country has to offer, like this guy.
In Montrose (Houston’s artsy and therefore more liberal pocket), a mustachioed man was filmed pulling up and destroying Ted Cruz yard signs. When confronted, he yelled, “I hate Ted Cruz!” and retreated to a coffee shop.
He was warned that the property (the yard sign) he destroyed belonged to a gun owner, to which he responded, “Oh, I’m a gun owner, too! If you guys shoot me over that, that would be great, that would be really, like, an appropriate response.”

From Texas Penal code:
Sec. 9.42. DEADLY FORCE TO PROTECT PROPERTY. A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:
(1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41; and
(2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A) to prevent the other’s imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime;
IOW, that guy better be glad he committed theft and criminal mischief during the day.
Just for some local color, the Montrose has been an enclave for queers (their term) for decades.
Now, it’s that, plus rich artsy types. A craftsman bungalow in the Montrose runs in the mid-six figures. A pretty area, all the same. Some really good places to eat and drink, too.
I like the insane noises he makes at 0:44. I wonder if he has a gig for Halloween already.

I drove by the day of the incident. The Ted Cruz signs had been restored though some of them looked worse for the wear and tear. Tried the Black Hole coffee shop for the first time. Their scones were a bit over-priced, the coffee was fairly good and the latte art was pretty good by Houston standards (only average by Pacific Northwest standards).
The odd thing… there were far fewer Beto signs per block than found in West University.
He looks pretty straight by Portland standards. There is one guy in the hood who either modeled his looks after a Portlandia character, or inspired the Portlandia character.

You can find many fine examples around that area of Houston, including some downright craftsman mansions. The Heights, not far away, is another place you can find them. Many have been very well restored.

One of my Pre-K kids threw a fit just about like that today because other kids drew dinosaurs, ripping up papers, so tells you the maturity level of the person we are dealing with here.
