It’s official.

Beto O’Rourke is a cult.

This “flash mob” dance video is making the rounds on social media.

Except that it was not a spontaneous flash mob, it was completely manufactured as the credits to the video show on the YouTube page:

BETO FOR U.S. SENATE! POWERED BY THE PEOPLE. BETO FLASH MOB FT. WORTH TEXAS!
Video Production/Choreography – Terri Hagar Scherer
Audio Mixing/Video Editing – Hussein Marouf
Lyrics – Donna Trammell
Audio Production – Leah Clark
Vocals – Ben Phillips, Jeremy Inman, Kim Moore, Lee Jamison, Leah Clark

This creepy video reminds me of the Obama children singing video:

The social media reactions to B-E-T-O have been great:

As if that was not enough, one of the cult members is a ABC reporter.

Newsbusters reports:

You know how a girl, when she really likes a boy, will nervously brush her hair back? Check out the move of ABC reporter Paula Faris as she gushes to Beto O’Rourke: “you’re a rock star!” When Beto demurs, Faris insists: “no, you really are!”

B-E-T-O raised $38 million in the 3Q from these moonbats.

B-E-T-O is a C-U-L-T.

I hope they know how to spell it.

Let’s throw him in water and see if he floats.

Perfect timing to be a pretend-Mexican with the present border issues.

I don’t find him even remotely attractive outside of the hair and he’s tall.

They are desperately missing obama. Whom had that con man pimp about him

At least he cleaned up his grubby look from when he was in that band. I keep waiting for him to fall off his skateboard.

This cult like thing is all that cult of personality type thing.

Yet, all I can see when I see him is Napoleon Dynamite. He looks quite a lot like that actor. He is young, stupid, and leftist, just what these leftists with everything being superficial and about feelings want.

    Ghaaaaack

if it’s a “flash mob”, which i thought were supposed to be spontaneous, why do they have all of this:

Video Production/Choreography – Terri Hagar Scherer
Audio Mixing/Video Editing – Hussein Marouf
Lyrics – Donna Trammell
Audio Production – Leah Clark
Vocals – Ben Phillips, Jeremy Inman, Kim Moore, Lee Jamison, Leah Clark

Seems pretty contrived & fake to me, just like the candidate.

They were all paid for their work, a 40 ouncer or a 6pack of Bud light if they were on a diet, which most of them should be. Watching fat grannies flop around singing praises for this loser is more than a little disgusting.

These are all lefties, they got cold hard cash for showing up pretending to be a ‘flash mob’. Anytime lefties need a ‘mob’, usually for protests, that they need to inflate the numbers, $$ starts floating around.

This creeps me out mostly because he looks co much like Michael Kennedy (son of Bobby) who was credibly accused of statutory rape here in MA but never charged because the victim, the 14 year old baby sitter of his children, refused to cooperate.

Michael died when he skied into a tree on the slopes at Aspen while playing catch with a football

Catch the opening scene of the John Hurt/Richard Burton version of Orwell’s 1984. Yep, been there.

How is Beto – the Mouth Breather- any different from Lizzie Borden Warren?

He targeted a different ethnic group for identity theft.

I’m positive that right now the white members of the Democratic caucus who lack the victim group memberships and therefore the “intersectionality” of Kemala Harris, Corey Booker, etc., are poring over maps of world deciding what obscure peoples whose heritage they can steal for their own.

Just in case I decide to go into politics I’m claimig 1/1024th Andaman Islander and 1/1024th Centaur due my Zodiac sign.

Beto

Obama now comes in Vanilla

I think the “Fad King” came up with this one. Fans of “Wag the Dog” will know what I’m talking about.

As much as I like Ted Cruz, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a video like this.

What a bunch of brainwashed twits.

We can all be sure this is no spontaneous flash mob, but I’m not sure it’s an MSM Mob.

“California company that hires protesters is accused of extortion

    Paid protesters are real.

Crowds on Demand, a Beverly Hills company that’s an outspoken player in the business of hiring protesters, boasts on its website that it provides its clients with ‘protests, rallies, FLASH-MOBS, paparazzi events and other inventive PR stunts. … We provide everything including the people, the materials and even the ideas.’

I’m not putting it past Beta or his coastal supporters who raised the unprecedented $38M he has in campaign funds to pay for something as pathetic as this. As the professor has noted, other Democrats are angry at O’Rourke for sucking so much cash out of other competitive campaigns, but true to his socialist ideals* He’s not letting go of one thin dime and intends to spend it all on himself. This is one way to spend it. It’s a stupid way to spend it which is encouraging. I’m sure it will play well in La Jolla, San Francisco, and Manhattan, but not in Midland, Amarillo, Tyler, or Harlingen where it counts.

*In one of his last interviews Pablo Picasso, who was a committed socialist, was talking about how the and his fellow travelers were going to remake society as soon as they were in a position to nationalize the means of production and confiscate and redistribute other people’s wealth. While Picasso was going on about it his is interviewed couldn’t resist looking around the lavish, sprawling villa and the priceless art collection.

Picasso noticed and said, “Oh, I’m not talking about spending my own money. I said I’m a socialist, not a Christian.”

Meanwhile, the people waiting to see Cruz and Trump are tailgating in Houston and the line extends around the stadium.

I remember a time when somebody seemed to be forming a cult of personality, back in 2004. I dismissed him then.

Four years later he was elected president.

I’m not saying that’s happening here. But I’m not saying it’s not, either.

None of this is in any way about Beto.

It’s all about their hate — Hate for rural, conservative, and blue-collar America, made concrete in a fiery hatred of Texas, and incarnate in the person of Ted Cruz.

By mid-November, none of them will remember Beto’s name.

Note the ethnic and gender diversity of the mob. Looks like a flashback from American Bandstand.

From his cheerleaders, it looks like he’s cleaned out all the trailer parks in East Texas! Fat Grannies and losers working on their 3rd husband, at least they can have a kegger after this election is over…party time!

really do wish i could unsee this

Does anyone remember when Newsweak but Obama on their cover with a rainbow-colored halo?

I bought a copy of it. I never took it out of the plastic wrapper. I just put it away so me descendants could see and understand what a cult of personality looks like.

Obviously I didn’t need to worry about that as they’re going to be reminded every election cycle.

Village People and 60s girl group music as the basis for ads.

Yep, Beto sure knows what Texans like.

I did a few minutes of sleuthing, not much as I don’t care that much.

Hussein Marouf, who uploaded the video to youtube, advertises himself on Linked In as the Director/Creative Producer for a media production company called Abernathy Media Professionals (AMP) Creative in Dallas. I’m not going to link to the sites about the company as I looked and they’re not that interesting. Shouldn’t they be if you’re advertising your company as a “boutique” creative production company? Also they appear to me to be, shall we say, as embellished as Liz Warren’s Cherokee heritage and the idea this is really a flash mob. I did enjoy this on the Linked In page about the company.

“We work best in long-term partnerships where we get to know our clients, get the opportunity to align with their workflow, and develop processes that work best for everyone.”

I don’t know how they meant it, but I know how it comes across. Like when a girl while on a first date starts begging for a relationship, and if you’re stupid and soft-headed enough to agree to a second date and you try to break it off she begs or flies into a towering rage demanding you give her more time.

In other words it sounds to me that they’re desperate for repeat business.

Terry Hagar-Scherer, who is credited with video production and choreography (and, really, what genuine flash mob doesn’t have a choreographer) seems to be some kind of free lancing jack-of-all-trades in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I couldn’t find much about her. She directed a play a few years back in Bedford and got panned. I definitely WILL link to that review.

http://thecolumnonline.com/review/07-22-2013_ASSASSINS/

“…In a bold move, ONSTAGE in Bedford put Assassins on their roster, playing during the summer when Shakespeare festivals and lighter fare are the norm. Director Terri Hagar-Scherer took on this small, complex musical revue, speaking of her love of challenging, edgy theatre in her program notes. THIS PRODUCITON WAS NEITHER, HOWEVER, however, and with the exception of two or three good performances it failed to achieve an emotional impact or the underlying glimpse into what made these people tick.

At the very top of a list of problems is the use, or misuse in this case, of the weaponry each of the nine brandished. Each gun or rifle was appropriate to their time period, but instead of firing real blanks the DIRECTOR CHOSE chose to simulate the noise with recorded sound effects of gun fire. Making it worse, the sound most often came from the opposite side of the stage from the object. Even the cocking of their weapons in “Gun Song” was recorded. If a theatre company is going to produce Assassins, you MUST fire the weapons live onstage. The whole idea is to unnerve the audience to the violence of the people’s actions. Otherwise, why in the world would you attempt to stage the piece? ”

Whoops! She chose poorly.

“…Lighting was an unfortunate mash up of badly focused instruments and strange colors. LED instruments are common place in theatres now but the block or coil patterns hung upstage were directed into the audience, making us stare into glaring shades of hot pink, baby blue and tropical orange/yellow.

…Three musicians playing piano, synthesizer and percussion make up the band. Placed offstage, they were just audible enough to assist the actors/singers but not much more. And here is the second on my list of problems. The music, as played and directed by Chelsea Coyne was unbelievably slow. Sondheim’s music is all over the place with difficult rhythms and equally difficult lyrics. Except for “The Ballad of Booth” and “The Ballad of Guiteau”, most were set in 4-4 time, plodding and unexciting. The only piece that should be somber is “Something Broke”. Knowing the vocal talent of some of the cast members, I cannot imagine the fault lay with them…”

The reviewer did end up trying to sell tickets for the play, saying the one or three actors who turned in good performances were enough to make the play worthwhile. But you could tell even she wasn’t convinced herself.

From what little I could stand of the video it seems that five years down the road Ms. Hagar-Scherer hasn’t upped her game.

Based upon the fact that it’s Hussein Marouf who posted the video on Youtube I’d say I’m not crawling our far on any limbs when I surmise the O’Rourke campaign or his supporters hired his production company to make the video, and then he hired the, uh, talent to help him with the production. Which they are now presenting as a flash mob, even though it’s anything but. As I said, it’s also not an MSM Mob as the MSM doesn’t hire production companies, choreographers, video producers, mixers, and editors, etc. Then the “Beto for U.S. Senate” ad fades in at the end (no, I couldn’t stand to watch the entire video; from what little I saw the people who made this aren’t exactly at the top of their profession, so I simply advanced the video to the end to see if there were any more clues) is sort of a dead giveaway, too.

Who paid them? If no one (extremely doubtful) wouldn’t this be an in-kind campaign contribution? If the O’Rourke campaign, that would make this a campaign ad so isn’t there supposed to be something of a disclaimer that O’Rourke approved this message? Even if it’s some PAC or other group of supporters, aren’t they supposed to identify themselves and say they’re not coordinating with the O’Rourke campaign?

Beta seems to have a hard time following campaign laws. Now he’s in hot water for excessive robo calls to cell phones, and could be fined $500 per violation.

This could be another violation in Beta’s excellent adventure toward electoral oblivion.

A beaver is missing his teeth.
