It’s amazing how many times we have seen members of Antifa skate after serious charges. And this guy is supposedly an educator.

The Daily Wire reports:

Professor Accused Of Assaulting Trump Supporter With Bike Lock Gets Probation

On Wednesday, a former East Bay college philosophy professor who reportedly used a bike lock to strike a Trump supporter in the head at a “free speech” rally in Berkeley on April 15, 2017, took a deal wherein he only got three years probation.

Some activists claimed the professor, Eric Clanton, who had been charged with four counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury, was videotaped as he committed the assault on 20-year-old college student, Sean Stiles, who had made the trip to Berkeley from his home in Santa Cruz.

Alameda County Superior Court records showed Clanton entered a “no contest” plea Wednesday to one misdemeanor battery charge, while the felony charges against him were dismissed. The allegation that he had caused serious bodily injury was stricken, as Berkeleyside.com reported.

Police had claimed Clanton attacked at least three people with a metal U-lock; court papers attested he hit at least seven people in the head. One of Clanton’s reported victims needed five staples to fix the wound on his head.

Here’s a video of the attack. Warning, graphic violence:

What total cowards these antifa are. Just watch the first 20 seconds of the video. At about 18 seconds you will see the act of a complete gutless coward. While wear a mask he reaches out from behind someone else to strike a young man on the head with the lock causing a serious laceration. Immediately after striking the blow he slinks back into the crowd like the yellow bellied coward he is.

For him not to get any jail time is disgusting.

I would never condone vigilante justice on Mr. Clanton. Nope, never. You heard me, no vigilante justice for Mr. Clanton.

The Alameda County DA has sent their message, and that message is that in Alameda County it’s open season on anybody who a progressive suspects is a conservative. The DA will have your back and dismiss your felony charges. The dismissed “serious bodily injury” bit probably has some importance in California law, otherwise why bother doing that in addition to dropping the felonies? I suspect it’s to allow the defendant to avoid a temporary gun possession ban. Many crimes trigger them in California.

Hello hello McFly?!

Now I took a lot of shit for saying that the perp was not going to suffer any consequences. If we can’t trust the justice system then yes we should take justice into our own hands.

I also asked what you guys were going to do if he skated. What you just going to shake your head and say oh well too bad?

And I’ll ask again for the 6th or 7th time

You sound a lot like Antifa. Though I will say, if it were my spouse with a bashed head, I’d probably be doing something about it once the court dropped the ball.

I foresee a return to lamp-post justice, and it is coming soon.

Not just for the Clantons of the world, but the judges who let them skate, and the police who turn the other way, or, at least the chiefs and mayors who order that turning.

If anyone has a better solution I want to hear it. The ballot box is, apparently, not the answer, and the police are apparently under no obligation to maintain peace and order.

Griz, the Supreme Court of the United States of America has ruled, more than once, that police have no duty to protect any person … period. As to “lamp post justice”, before I die (I’m 71 now) I expect to see more and more cases referred to Judge Colt for settlement; I’m not necessarily in favor of that, but I do see it coming.

Civilization is an agreement where individuals surrender their right to enforce individual justice to the community at large. The community is then required to enforce justice or the agreement is null and void.

The antifa is a criminal organization that preys upon legal political assemblies, causing great harm to such assemblies. Many localities, especially those of a progressive bent, will not protect their law abiding citizens from this criminal organization.

I don’t understand why justice has been completely ignored in places such as Berkeley and Portland. I can only assume that civilization has simple collapsed there and there is no forum where antifa’s victims may seek justice.
