U. Oregon Hiring Student Directors to Fight ‘Toxic Masculinity’

“jobs include a $150 monthly stipend”

The school is apparently using male students to do this. Imagine calling women “toxic” on a college campus.

The College Fix reports:

‘Reconstructing masculinity’ effort at University of Oregon works to end ‘oppression’

A Men’s Center at the University of Oregon is hiring two paid student directors for the 2018-19 school year to help fight so-called toxic masculinity on campus in an attempt at “ending oppression.”

“If you are passionate about reconstructing masculinity, men’s health and wellness, and social justice advocacy, then come join our team,” states a flier posted on the University of Oregon Men’s Center Facebook page.

The group states it wants to revise what may be considered traditional masculinity into something that ends “oppression,” according to its website.

“The Men’s Center…is dedicated to creating spaces and events where people of all genders and identities can work collectively toward constructing a more positive masculinity. We are committed to raising awareness about the intersection of men’s health and social justice issues and exploring ways for men to play a more active role in ending oppression,” the site states.

The flier for the job positions includes Student Director of Team Development and Finance, as well as Student Director Education and Outreach. Both jobs include a $150 monthly stipend.

All I can think of is “Welcome Back, Kotter” and Arnold Horshack who, raising his hand to ask a question, OOOOOOHHHHH! OOOOOOHHHHH! OOOOOOHHHHH!” To which I add: Are there going to be directors to help fight toxic femininity?

And this is the Men’s Center doing this.

Sounds sexist.

What is this toxic masculinity? Please define it, provide the boundaries, tell me how this masculinity interacts with society? Tell of the oppression this old toxic masculinity brought about and how this new masculinity is satisfactory for males and females. How does this masculinity oppress? I am so interested in knowing, be specific, in addition tell me about femininity and how it also oppresses, and specifically how masculinity oppresses femininity. Come on, be scientific, explain it to me, convince me to be less masculine, tell me how it is wrong to be male and how I should be more female.

(I lived and worked in Sweden for more than 4 years, am a UK expat and am an LPR of the great and MAGA USA. Please ask me what I observed in society and the workplace, please, do ask me!)

Only eunuchs need apply…

Would that be literal or figurative eunuchs? If literal, that would include transgenders, most of whom made the choice themselves, but might also include those still alive from an earlier era whose rape and sexual assault convictions resulted in chemical sterilization; the former knows nothing of masculinity, having chosen to sever themselves from masculinity, and the latter are simply toxic, because truly masculine men don’t commit sexual offenses (which includes UOregon male athletes who have been exonerated of sexual crimes simply because they were athletes). If figurative, that would include most of the entire UOregon campus.
