U.S., North Korea Summit Back On
“We’ll be meeting on June 12 in Singapore,” said Trump.
Friday, North Korean officials met with President Trump at the White House.
After the meeting, Trump announced the previously canceled summit, originally scheduled for June 12 in Singapore, was back on. “We’ll be meeting on June 12 in Singapore,” said Trump.

Trump called the upcoming meeting, “a getting to know you meeting, plus.”
During the meeting, Trump received a letter from Kim Jong Un, a letter Trump described as “very nice” and “very interesting.”

What do you know. Trump has once again proven himself smarter and more capable than the MSM, the Dems and the Nevers. Will any of them learn from this latest experience? Not likely, but one can hope.
He sure has lowered expectations. A month ago, NK was all but disarmed by Trump’s magic negotiating. Now, after all all these preliminary meetings, Trump announces we shouldn’t expect much.

Just asking: Has there ever been a summit where the agreements were not reached in advance?
As I recall, Reykjavik didn’t really go according to script, though afterwards everyone pretended that it almost did.
I seem to vaguely recall Margaret Thatcher doing a double-take when it seemed to her like Ronald Reagan was going to denuclearize Europe and take away the West’s deterrent against numerically superior forces, condemning their civilizations to slavery. I read something like that from her memoir years ago.
So if I was the Norks if so be getting into bed with the Americans. Opening their country up to American investment will be an absolute gold mine for the ruling dictatorship.
Secondly, if the Norks are able to transition in to a “benevolent dictatorship” like Singapore then double win.
Thirdly IF all of that comes to pass Whoa Fat (aka little rocket man) will and perhaps even deserving so be annointed as a living saint by his people.
They need some assurance that the Chinese will not utterly destroy them for that, and that the S. Koreans and Americans will not encourage rebels to do as bad or worse to Kim as to Gadaffi (or however people spell his name today, I’ve seen fifteen versions).
Saint sounds good as long as it is proceeded by death. He does need to be held accountable for kidnapping and torturing that young man, just returning him to die here.
It would be nice to see Kim withering on a spike, and also be a great example for others cut from the same cloth as Kim.
Mean while the left will continue to campaign on what matters most to Americans (hahahahahaha), impeachment, increases taxation and mah Russia!!
