Merkel Under Pressure Over Germany’s Imported Stabbing Epidemic
German police union calls for tougher criminal laws against stabbers
After a series of fatal stabbings involving migrant attackers, the German police union has called on the government to introduce tougher laws against stabbers. According to Germany’s national police trade union, or DPoLG, “young Arabs” were importing the culture of carrying knife into the country.
Germany has witnessed a rise in violent crimes since Chancellor Angela Merkel decided to open the country’s border to migrants, prominently young men from Arab and Muslim countries, in the autumn of 2015.
Last week, Germany witnessed a string of riots and deadly attacks involving migrant gangs, with the leading German newspaper Bild Zeitung describing the countrywide violence that began last Friday as “bloody weekend.”
Turkish, Iraqi, and Lebanese criminal gangs waged violent turf wars in the cities of Duisburg and Nordhorn armed with baseball bats, machetes, and knives, local media reported.
The German Bavarian daily MERKUR reported the police union’s demands amid soaring stabbing attacks:
In light of repeated knife attacks, the German Police Trade Union (DPoIG) has called for the premeditated stabbing to be prosecuted as attempted murder, not merely as bodily harm.
“This move will enable an immediate pretrial detention and, in cases the act is carried out by a refugee, a deportation,” the DPoIG said in its response to a query by German news agency DPA. The newly appointed German Justice Minister Katarina Barley needs to act in this regard [the union maintained].
In DPoIG’s opinion the stabbing attacks and attacks with similar objects must result in a minimum prison sentence of one year. Currently the stabbings are “treated as bodily harm.” For [bodily harm] there is a maximum penalty, but no minimum penalty. Only when someone dies as a result: it is treated as an attempted murder or murder. “And that is wrong, because it is matter of pure chance if the stabbing ends up killing someone or not.”
The DPolG has joined hands up with the rival police trade union GdP to call for a nationwide registry of stabbing crimes in order to understand the extent of the problem. [Translation by the author]
So far, Chancellor Merkel has largly refused to acknowledge the severity of the situation, with her surrogates and government officials choosing to insult and discredit those who dare to raise the issues of soaring migrant crimes.
Last year, Ralf Stegner, deputy leader of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), Merkel’s main coalition partner, attacked police union chief Rainer Wendt for merely stating that “criminals” too were “using open borders”. Social Democrat Stegner calling Wendt’s attempt to question the wisdom of open borders “disgusting and stupid”.
Sven Rebehn, the chairman of the German Association of Judges, called Wendt “the Donald Trump of domestic politics,” apparently the biggest insult a liberal can come up in Merkel’s Germany.
Meanwhile, the German government burying its head in the sand hasn’t made the problem go away.
According to the annual crime report, released by the country’s Federal Crime Bureau (BKA) last year, there has been a 50 percent increase in migrant crime compared to the previous year’s figure. During that period, police booked more than 610,000 suspects of foreign origin, indicting the presence of a ‘disproportionately large’ size of criminal migrants in the country.
Newly arrived ‘refugees’, who made up for less than 2 percent of the German population, was suspected of carrying out almost 15 percent of all crimes involving serious bodily harm, rapes, and sexual assaults, BKA’s 2017 annual crime report revealed. Subsequent surveys and studies have confirmed the worrying trend. In Janaury 2017, a government-funded study carried out in the northern German state of Lower Saxony found that newly arrived ‘refugees’ were responsible for at least 90 percent of the surge in violent crimes.

All counties of the West should implement laws and procedures to expel any immigrant family who harbors a criminal. Take the gloves off. Those who use deadly force against anyone should be put down and their family expelled.

Calls for tougher laws?? How about calls for and action on no more migrants and get rid of the ones there now?
Liberals are always the same. Light on crime, a heavy boot on law biding citizens.
That is because liberals are fascists are heart: they need the thugs to do their bidding against the rest of us.
I don’t understand this world. Did the mob with torches and pitchforks unionize or something? How has Merkel not been literally thrown into the street? Are the German still feeling that guilty, that they deserve this because of World War II and the Holocaust?
And Merkel continues to disregard her people as if there will be no consequence for that. this is why I think we need an object lesson every now and then. I don’t think Merkel’s attitude would be so dismissive and nonchalant if a few of her bureaucrats were tarred and feathered.
Chancellor Merkel is an ‘Osi’, an easterner, having grown up in East Germany. Deep down I think she carries a lot of that attitude despite her religious upbringing and her work post unification.
The object lesson made of Merkel should be that of Louis XVI.
It would be far more (and more poetically) just should she be assaulted and killed by an immigrant while visiting a refugee camp or neighborhood.
he main reason she can get away wt it is the MMP (Mixed Member Prportional Representation) political system that is in Germany, we have the same system in New Zealand and it just means every 3 years we get to elect government who can then impose policies that we didn’t vote for. The system is crap and leads to things like this ad, ironically (as it is supposed to make this impossible) could lead to the rise of another Hitler type figure in response.
Wouldn’t all stabbings be tried as attempted murder? Besides self-defense I can’t think of a reason to stop someone if you weren’t trying to kill them. Merkel turned on the fire hose of unregulated immigration and the associated violent crimes. There’s no turning it off now. Even if by a miracle she closed the EU borders, those military age Moslem males are never leaving. They’re screwed no matter what thanks to her.
I think she is pleased with the effect. It allows her to impose her beloved police state earlier.

Would it be so unreasonable for anyone admitted under refugee status should have only probationary citizenship or legal residence if/when it’s impossible to verify that you are who you say you are?
The host country is taking a chance on you and they’re spending plenty of their citizens’ tax money to do so, and if you respond by assaulting that country’s citizens, why shouldn’t they boot your sorry self out?
Germany is a Muslim country with a large proportion of infidels. Of course the Muslims are going to kill the infidels. What else do you expect?
It is not the knife or the gun, it is the homicidal culture and a culture not subject to change. Even after conviction they are allowed to remain in the country. The murder problem remains.

I’ve maintained for a long time that the punishment for attempted murder should be no different from that of an actual murder. A defendant should benefit from neither his incompetent assault nor from his intended victim’s fortune to survive.

Ban knives? It’s not possible. Humanoids have been making knives since before they were people. How can you ban something I can chip out of rock? When I lived in Japan, the Japanese authorities had a very practical attitude toward yumi (bows) to (and) ya (arrows). It was very common to see school girls carry cased bows on the subway.

I was reinserted in Japan following 9/11 to provide intel support to force protection. So I met with Japanese cops a lot. So I asked them about it, because Japan has some really harsh laws on guns and swords. And the cops were like, it’s just two sticks and a string. How do we ban that?
The Japanese have some strict laws about knives. But as far as I know they don’t have laws against sharp rocks. The knife/hand axe is the most useful tool ever invented. It can be used as a weapon, but it’s so much more.

It’s not just a knife; notice the bottle opener on the rear of the handle. I’ve got a couple. K-Bar sells a handy boot clip that you can install on the scabbard. I find the basic knife very comfortable when I where it as you might guess. Around my neck. But with the boot clip it knocks painfully against my ankle. So I solved the problem by wrapping the handle in parachute cord. But now I can’t use the bottle opener on that one. Fortunately I also have a Swiss Army knife.
Please note: I’m not writing this from prison. Because I don’t go around stabbing people. It has never occurred to me in my 55 years to stab anyone. Or, rather, other ways to extricate myself or otherwise resolve the situation have also occurred to me. Ban Muslim immigrants if they can’t be trusted with knives.

I have multiple reasons for linking to the above post. First, notice it’s part of the knife intifada. And of course as Allah commands they went for the throat. “Strike [their] necks.” Yes, it’s an obvious target. But only Islam makes it a religious imperative.

Sahih al Bukhari’s ahadith collection, he tells us (in his book of Fighting in the cause of Allah [Jihaad]) that Muhammad declares “I have been made victorious through terror.” And tells its adherents to butcher non-believers? I’ll be waiting.
