The school has handled this situation pretty well but many donors are understandably angry.

FOX News reports:

Bush-bashing professor has Fresno State scrambling to keep its donors

A Fresno State professor who called the late Barbara Bush “racist” soon after her death Tuesday, and said she was glad “the witch is dead,” continues to face fallout as donors mull ceasing donations to the institution.

Randa Jarrar, an English professor at the school (also known as California State University at Fresno), sparked outrage Tuesday just hours after the former first lady died at age 92, writing a number of tweets attacking Bush and the family.

“Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F*** outta here with your nice words,” the professor tweeted. “I’m happy the witch is dead. Can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million Iraqis have.”

Jarrar, a tenured professor, boasted on social media that because she has tenure, she won’t be fired from her job. She’s currently on leave this semester and was reportedly traveling overseas.

Amid the backlash, someone on social media shared Jarrar’s publicly available work phone number and email address, to which the professor responded with a phone number for a crisis hotline at Arizona State University, saying that’s her number, prompting a flood of calls to the hotline that normally receives just a few calls per week.

It is her right to say most anything she pleases. It is the donor’s right to cease donations to the school to encourage the school to be more careful in hiring and tenure decisions.

F*** outta here with your nice words…

An English professor? Obviously. She has a way with words.

And I’m guessing four letter words are her specialty.

I wouldn’t fire her either. The beauty of free speech is that it helps us to spot the idiot (which sometimes is me), and once again, it works its magic.

For this reason I would have her fired. Free speech is one thing, but interfering with ASU’s Crisis Hotline is inexcusable. It isn’t “cute” or funny, though I’m sure she thought it was. It was, however, crass and immature and her actions crossed the line. She purposely chose to drag an innocent party into the mess she started. She could have posted an “out of service” or another other number that had little to no negative impact. But she didn’t.

It was a crisis healthline for those with mental health issues, so I get why she thought it would be funny to send her critics there. But the fact that she had no thought that maybe it was a bad thing to interfere with a lifeline for folks perhaps considering suicide or other bad things because of the voices in their head or their depression just shows how inconsiderate a b*tch she is.

If it’s true that she can’t lose her teaching position for being an inconsiderate b*tch who reveled in others pain and who endangered members of the public with her “prank”, it makes her the living argument for restricting granting tenure in the future.

That said, was she really doxed, or did someone just repeat the already publicly available contact info from the university websites? If she was doxed, Alenski-ing goes both directions for the win?

…would love to know where she is presently traveling–Gaza is a real hot spot this time of year !!! ABJ
