Trump should direct ICE to do campus visits on a regular basis just to drive these students nuts. Incidentally, they weren’t there to deport anyone.

Campus Reform reports:

Berkeley students panic after ICE vehicle spotted on campus

University of California, Berkeley students and community members went into a frenzy following reports of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) presence on campus.

Kicking off the controversy, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) vehicle was spotted on UC Berkeley’s campus on January 26, parked in a campus garage in close proximity to an academic building, according to The Daily Californian.

Shortly thereafter, UC Berkeley addressed students’ concerns in a tweet from the school’s official Twitter account.

“We have received reports of ICE on the Berkeley campus. Our understanding is that that they were invited to speak at the Global Entry Program about TSA checks and advice for international students,” the tweet announced, assuring students that “There is no raid.”

UC Berkeley later deleted the tweet without explanation, but students and community members reacted to the news quickly.

“Berkeley, an email was sent out at 11:27 am regarding ICE on campus. Since, folks have confirmed presence and asked folks to be cautionary,” tweeted Gia, a self-described senior and Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) senator.

“Also remember to be careful with language and keep time stamps on warning posts. Keep statuses informed and updated,” Gia advised fellow students.

Comments

I do not know what percentage of UC Berkeley’s 42,000 students (undergrad plus grad) are illegal aliens, but I would guess that very few are. Maybe there are a handful of “Dreamers” attending Berkeley, but for the most part, illegal aliens are not among the top academic performers that Berkeley accepts.

So why would these snowflakes panic over ICE being on campus? Maybe the snowflakes were upset that maybe the culinary workers and cleaning staff might hide, which would inconvenience the snowflakes?

You’ve been living on some other planet for the past few decades. Down here in the USA, things have changed a bit. US Berkeley is no bastion of academic excellence; it’s a social-justice indoctrination mill devoted to the fundamental transformation of the country.

UC Berkeley has the Undocumented Student Program (USP). This doesn’t specifically help students avoid ICE vans; rather it handles the paperwork so that illegals don’t have to pay “out of state” tuition. It also handles the neverending job of shoveling free money—gobs of it—at illegals. (They call them “underground undergrads”—isn’t that just so adorable?) At least one fund at Berkeley distributes over a million dollars in “scholarships” to illegal students … and only illegal students. Or it did last I heard, perhaps eight years ago; it’s doubtless far more now.

The reason is because they are all about the narrative and the feels not logic or facts.

If you lived in a bubble, would you not fear the sight of a needle?
