The College of New Jersey Designates New Dorm for Social Justice Activists
“now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 academic year”
Social justice warriors love to have their views affirmed by like minded people. Yet this creates a bubble where they won’t ever be exposed to opposing ideas.

School offers ‘Social Justice House’ for wannabe activists
The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) recently debuted a new dorm that promises to be a “safe, supportive living-environment” for students interested in promoting “social justice issues.”
The new Social Justice House, which is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 academic year, “will be a community of unique and multi-faceted students from a variety of backgrounds, united into a singular voice of social activism and equality.”
This “singular voice” of social activism will be developed among students throughout the semester during required reading assignments, participation in “advocacy opportunities,” and a group field trip to a “social justice related” site.
“The house will ultimately attempt to push the College’s mission of being ‘an institution comprised of a diverse community of learners, dedicated to free inquiry and open exchange’ to a new level,” states the school’s web-page for the house.
Students interested in applying to the house must also be comfortable with the prospect of becoming “social justice ambassadors” on campus, and must “have a commitment to organizing events, trips, and campus activities” that promote social justice issues.

Probably a good thing to cull them from the herd rather than have them degrade opportunities for serious students. FWIW, education majors used to be the spawning grounds for this sort of uselessness.
Either way, the good stuff usually distinguishes itself from the sludge.

We do seem to be seeing…and enjoying as they eat their own.
I think it was feminist Christina Hoffman Sommers who related how she went to a Feminist conference and the attendees started dividing themselves into like-minded groups: races, gays, straights, vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters, and so on. The problem is that they couldn’t stop there with the group politics, each group kept further subdividing themselves to differentiate themselves from other groups. So I suspect will happen in this SJW safe space. The inhabitants will turn on each other to pit their victimhood against each other to gain status and power, and this will not stop. The anger and victimhood will continue.
I’m all for it. If nothing else but to protect other students from sustained exposure to this madness.

Those students DO realize college years only ends after 4 years right? Or do they plan to max their student loans and then whine and cry and blame President Trump for it? Once those students who go out of school unprepared for the real world will find the world is a cruel cruel place, it will chew them up, and spit them out real good.
