Ryerson University in Canada to Host White Privilege Conference
“following complaints from social justice activists”
The school was supposed to host a free speech event but cancelled it to do this instead.

Ryerson University To Host ‘White Privilege Conference’ Following Cancellation Of Free Speech Event
Canada’s Ryerson University, which canceled a panel on free speech by psychology professor Jordan Peterson following complaints from social justice activists, is slated to host “The White Privilege Conference.”
The university announced this week that it plans to host the conference on May 9 to 12, inviting academics to participate in discussions revolving around “white privilege and oppression in Canada (and beyond),” according to the event page.
“Each day of the conference features keynote presentations from inspiring leading experts as well as a series of workshops, presentations and plenary sessions for you to choose from,” the university states. “We give you the tools to examine challenging concepts of privilege and oppression and offer solutions and team building strategies to work toward a more equitable world.”
Among the conference speakers invited to provide lectures is Rinaldo Walcott, an associate professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and the director of Women and Gender Studies Institute.

Well, yeah. Ryerson isn’t a serious university; it used to be a technical college that got jumped up to a university on the strength of its engineering faculty. Every other faculty there is a joke. We call it “Rye High” for a reason. And OISE is Canada’s Evergreen College dialed up to 11.
The education industry (like the news industry) is dominated by leftists, and has been turned into an instrument of indoctrination and propaganda for their ideology — and they’re winning. The general public is being fed socialism as undisputed truth from pre-school to graduate school (and beyond by the news), and becoming more and more socialist.
Unless some way is found to reverse this, the US and Canada will soon catch up with Europe, and freedom, prosperity, and rational thought will continue to decline. This is the most serious problem we have — once there are enough believers, they will vote away freedom for all of us. In a situation where people like Obama and Trudeau can be elected heads of government, the tipping point isn’t far off.
Let me see if I’ve got this right. A free speech program is canceled because a few people complained about free speech that they didn’t agree with. Well, it is Canada after all.
