Obama Insults Trump With Thinly Veiled Reference to Hitler

On the same day that Trump made history by being the first American President to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Obama insulted him with a thinly veiled comparison to Adolf Hitler.

Earlier this week, Obama insulted Trump overseas:

Now he is invoking Nazis.

Alex Griswold reported at the Washington Free Beacon:

Obama Invokes Nazi Germany, Warns Against Voters Becoming ‘Complacent’Former President Barack Obama invoked Nazi Germany to urge attendees of a Q&A session to remain vigilant in today’s political age, according to a journalist who attended the event.Crain’s Chicago Business reporter Greg Hinz attended the event at the Economic Club of Chicago where Obama was quizzed by Ariel Investments President Mellody Hobson about his beliefs on a variety of subjects…The two-term Democrat expressed the importance of a free press and urged the country not to “grow complacent,” saying “we have to tend to this garden of democracy or else things could fall apart quickly.”Hinz writes Obama then brought up the specter of Adolf Hitler, who came to power in Democratic Germany amid the financial crisis of the 1930’s.”Sixty million people died…” he reports Obama said. “So, you’ve got to pay attention. And vote.”

Here’s how the reporter mentioned in the story described the event on Twitter:

He seems objective, doesn’t he?

Greg Gutfeld and the rest of the panel on The Five discussed this yesterday. From the FOX News Insider:

Gutfeld: Obama Compares Trump to HitlerGreg Gutfeld criticized former President Barack Obama for making a comparison between President Trump’s election and the transition of Germany from the Weimar Republic to the Third Reich…Gutfeld pointed to the irony of Obama making the comments only hours before Trump declared Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.”That makes Trump a pretty weak Nazi,” he said.Gutfeld added that Trump has also overseen the “decimation” of ISIS, which he called the “worst group of fascists since the Nazis.”On Obama’s comment that voters should “pay attention,” Gutfeld pointed to the 2008 election of an “inexperienced” senator from Illinois who later governed with a “pen and a phone.”

Here’s the video:

One President comes out of this looking vindictive and small. It is not Trump.
