Amtrak Train 501 derailed in Seattle onto the I-5 Freeway this morning on the first day of the new route. First responders have announced they are treating the accident as a mass casualty.

How many Amtrak accidents is this now? I feel like there is a derailment at least once a year. Perhaps the federal government should get out of the rail transportation business.
