DNC Memo: Tech Job Openings Should Not Be Sent To Straight White Males

DNC Memo: Tech Job Openings Should Not Be Sent To Straight White Males

DNC’s Data Service Manager Madeleine Leader: “I personally would prefer that you not forward to cisgender straight white males”

From leaking debate questions to Hillary Clinton to allegedly rigging the Democrat primary in Hillary’s favor and from announcing that pro-life Democrats are no longer welcome to funding the Trump dossier, the DNC has come under fire for some pretty outrageous behavior and some deeply disturbing statements and actions.

Recently, the DNC was also under fire for former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s IT employee who was arrested earlier this year and who was one of four under investigation for breaching the U. S. House of Representatives computer system.

The DNC has multiple openings in IT, and DNC’s Data Service Manager Madeleine Leader sent out an email in which she specifically states that she would “prefer” the openings not be forwarded to “cisgender straight white males, since they’re already in the majority.”

The Daily Wire reports:

Employees within the Democratic National Committee are looking for new employees in the Technology Department. However, the DNC is apparently not interested in your resume if you happen to be a white male.

In an email issued to DNC insiders on Monday, Data Services manager Madeleine Leader announced that the Technology Department is looking to fill several positions and asked interested parties to forward the openings to their colleagues.

The Daily Wire continues:

In response to this email, an anonymous DNC source told The Daily Wire the following:

Clearly the DNC is doubling down on a failed strategy that has alienated staffers and voters alike. We want to be judged based on the quality of our work, not on identity politics. How can we trust the leadership of the DNC if they don’t even trust us?

The Daily Wire contacted Ms. Leader about the contents of her email, but she declined to comment.

Awkward, indeed:

Here’s the text cited above from the DNC website:

The Democratic National Committee (DNC), is committed to diversity among its staff, and recognizes that its continued success requires the highest commitment to obtaining and retaining a diverse staff that provides the best quality services to supporters and constituents. The DNC is an equal opportunity employer and it is our policy to recruit, hire, train, promote and administer any and all personnel actions without regard to sex, race, age, color, creed, national origin, religion, economic status, sexual orientation, veteran status, gender identity or expression, ethnic identity or disability, or any other legally protected basis. The DNC is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities in the hiring process and on the job, as required by applicable law. The DNC will not tolerate any unlawful discrimination and any such conduct is strictly prohibited. [emphasis mine]

I hate to break it to you sister, but your IT team and security team in particular need the best talent they can find. Restricting your applicant pool this way is just plain stoooopid.

4th armored div in reply to Paul. | November 2, 2017 at 6:02 pm

looks like the stoooopid party moniker has been hijacked by the party of DWS and the paki hackers – what’s not to like ???

    How dare you Sir..!
    Or Madam…
    or Gender nonconforming individual…
    Whatever is your thing, okay..?
    I’m not judging you…

Isn’t that blatant ILLEGAL DISCRIMINATION ? – SUE THEM TO HELL WHERE THEY BELONG !

Subotai Bahadur in reply to Lewfarge. | November 2, 2017 at 6:57 pm

This is the United States in the 21st Century. It is not possible here and now to discriminate against any white, straight, male. They law does not recognize the concept, and the culture denies the possibility.

rustyshamrock | November 2, 2017 at 5:21 pm

So, they want this kick-ass IT team, but it’s “more important” that they are diverse? IOW, diversity trumps skills and knowledge. Insane.

They should add a similar note to their fund raising letters.

“Diversity” is the current euphemism for racism. Too many people had figured out that’s what “affirmative action” meant. Then the SCOTUS said that colleges could use racial and sexual criteria to attract a “diverse” group of students, so “diversity” developed an air of legality. I don’t think SCOTUS said that colleges or anyone else could use racial or sexual criteria in hiring.

    4th armored div in reply to OldProf2. | November 2, 2017 at 6:06 pm

->use racial and sexual criteria <-
when i first read that, i thought it said rectal and sexual.
when it applies to (D)'s that is more accurate. LOL

      C. Lashown in reply to 4th armored div. | November 2, 2017 at 7:30 pm

Just like getting a puppy at the pound: roll `em over and spread their legs. Pass or fail, and throw back the straight white men! GREAT criteria for hiring a skilled tech.

So if I’m a techy guy, and a buddy slips me a copy of this email before I go in to interview, and I just ‘happen’ to let slip that my husband will be moving to the city with me, can they fire me for lying a few months later when my wife shows up at work to bring me lunch, for example?

Because I know tech geeks. For a plum position, they’ll claim to be a left-handed hermaphrodite with gender dysphoria and medicated mood swings who listens to Prarie Home Companion and owns a lhasa apso rescue shelter dog.

I would also prefer the DNC to hire based on sex organs (deformed as they may be) or race and NOT hire the best QUALIFIED person for the job.
eventually the lawsuits and everyone laughing at them may shut them up.
hey, we all got our pipe dreams..

I will never ever use these BS pronouns…

Well, I learned a new word today. “Cisgender.” Never ran across it before. How about “normal” instead?

Milhouse in reply to Geologist. | November 2, 2017 at 7:12 pm

The whole point of this word’s existence is to convey the worldview that conformity between sex and gender is not normal, but merely one possibility. Sex and gender, according to this worldview, are completely independent variables, and there’s no particular reason why they should happen to match in any given person. The fact that >99% of people do have the same sex as their gender is pure coincidence, a statistical fluke that’s unlikely to repeat itself in the next generation. So if we have a word for the 99% who are not, and since “cis-” is the opposite of “trans-” the obvious word for people who are the opposite of transgendered is “cisgendered”.

Except that for some reason one mustn’t use the “-ed” suffix, but simply say “transgender” and “cisgender”. I don’t quite get that one. I wonder if it has something to do with the way Reformed Jews insist on being called “Reform” without the “-ed”.

      C. Lashown in reply to Milhouse. | November 2, 2017 at 7:34 pm

What was the problem using the old terms – Normal or Pervert?

Milhouse in reply to C. Lashown. | November 2, 2017 at 10:27 pm

There is no room on this blog for bigotry. Transgendered people are not perverted, they are simply different. Not normal. They need a word to describe them. People who are not transgendered are normal, and therefore don’t need a special word. But one is not better than the other. There’s nothing wrong with being transgendered; what’s wrong is insisting that it’s perfectly normal, and that the whole world must agree with this radical delusion.

rustyshamrock in reply to Geologist. | November 2, 2017 at 7:54 pm

Yeah, I had to look it up too. Apparently it been around since 1999.

I guess no one here is surprised by the blatant criminality of the DNC. This is clearly a discriminatory RECRUITING for a position.

Oh yes, I smell a formula for success. Think how a dynamo like this program would have turbocharged world history …

His Catholic Majesty Ferdinand, Monarch of the United Kingdoms of León and Castile, the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily, and the warlord of Granada, is recruiting experienced mariners to chart a new route to the Indies. Please send CV and cover letter to Isabella. The Kingdom of Spain is an Equal Opportunity employer … except for white men of European extraction, who need not apply.

Wanted—a small group of persons of genius, resource, and stubborn perserverance to develop heavier-than-air flight, and demonstrate appropriate hardware. No government aid will be available; all personnel will procede at their own risk. No white men of European origin need apply.

The Borg Collective of Asia is on a mission to extinguish Western civilization before it can even get started. The citizens of Sparta and Athens are recruiting personnel to defeat this invasion. Apply in person on the Plains of Marathon; please bring your own spears. No white males.

Yep, keep the productive people out. That’s the ticket for progress.

    Milhouse in reply to tom_swift. | November 2, 2017 at 7:39 pm

Well, look what a nutcase Ferdinand ended up hiring; obviously there was something very wrong with his procedures, if he hired a guy with a crackpot theory which was 100% wrong, and which every scientist in the world correctly ridiculed.

Columbus should have failed for the exact reason everyone predicted he’d fail: From Spain to India going west is about 16,000 miles, and there’s no way a 15th-century ship could sail that far with no known resupply stations along the way. His theory that the world was much smaller than it really is, and that Japan was just over the western horizon from the Canaries, was utterly wrong.

That he turned out to be the luckiest crackpot in history, and made Ferdinand rich, doesn’t justify his selection. It was just a stupid stroke of luck, like foolishly spending your last dollar on a lotto ticket and winning.

      OldProf2 in reply to Milhouse. | November 2, 2017 at 7:59 pm

Somewhere around 200 BC, Eratosthenes calculated the Earth’s circumference to within about 10%. Columbus knew of this calculation, but preferred to use a map by Toscanelli, which showed the Earth to be over 30% smaller. Columbus was lucky he ran into the New World, because he never could have made it all the way to Asia.

        Milhouse in reply to OldProf2. | November 2, 2017 at 10:55 pm

Everyone with an interest in geography knew of Eratosthenes’ calculation. It was the accepted wisdom of the day, and it was pretty much correct. Which is why they told Columbus he was crazy, and he was. He also completely misinterpreted Marco Polo on the location of Japan, which is why he thought he could easily sail there from the Canaries, and resupply before going on to India.

The idea that he was a hero who figured out the earth is round while everyone else thought it was flat was invented by Washington Irving.

AG Sessions: where is the civil rights lawsuit?????

It’s turning out Sessions has been pacified to the extent boehner was. Many of us wondered if boehner was being extorted. (Still do.)

Is Sessions being extorted?

Subotai Bahadur in reply to TheFineReport.com. | November 2, 2017 at 7:01 pm

He is either being extorted, or like much of the GOP, is simply on the other side. At this point, what difference does it make?

I think the Politico interview with Boehner “unchained” addresses this quite well: https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/10/29/john-boehner-trump-house-republican-party-retirement-profile-feature-215741

Nope, Boehner was not extorted; he’s an actual full-blown progressive RINO.

Sessions, though? He’s not being extorted. Sessions isn’t hard to understand; he’s a conservative to his bones and a constitutionalist to his core. He tries always to do the right thing, and no matter what Trumpsters and Trump himself say, recusing himself from the Russia investigation was the right thing to do. That Trump picked a straight-up guy like Sessions and then expected him to act contrary to his character says a great deal more about Trump than it does about Sessions.

On top of that, Sessions is also a Southerner and kind of an old-school statesman, harkening back to a time when Dems and Reps could be at each others’ throats on the floor of their respective house of Congress and then go off to share dinner or a drink and/or become their political “enemy’s” child’s godparent.

Attacking Sessions without getting who he is and what he believes is a mistake. Now, if you want to say, we hate all that having scruples stuff and rejecting wielding as a weapon the full power and weight of government to roll over our enemies stuff, then, yeah, Sessions is not your guy.

But be honest about why he’s not. It’s not that he’s weak; he’s demonstrably not. It’s not that he’s unprincipled; he is demonstrably principled. It’s not that he doesn’t support Trump’s policies on immigration and sanctuary cities; he does. Instead, it’s that Sessions is not willing to sell his soul, act against his better judgment, or defy his own moral compass to please anyone, including Trump and his supporters.

Frankly, demanding that someone act against his or her own morality is slime-drippingly immoral and reprehensible. In the case of some Trump fans, it’s actually an amoral demand that borders on the psychotic.

“AG Sessions: where is the civil rights lawsuit?????”

Better question: Who has standing to file a lawsuit?????

You can talk about breaking the law all you want, including talking to (conspiring) other people about the crime, but it isn’t a crime until you actually act. So until someone comes forward that was discriminated against no crime HAS happened.

re: “I personally would prefer that you not forward to cisgender straight white males”

The DNC is not only morally bankrupt, but fiscally bankrupt as well. This is just a raw grab for supporters. If the meritocracy won’t support the DNC, then they’ll appeal to the Beta genders and sodomites. TRANSLATED: “THIS IS OUR CLUBHOUSE, NORMAL PEOPLE STAY OUT!” Let the freak show begin!

I’m not sure if there are words that convey how little I care about the DNC’s hiring practices. It’s their hole, let them dig it.

There are straight white males in the democrat party who are smart enough to have IT skills?

Time for a coup at the DNC. Or should I say Democrats should storm the DNC and take charge.

1. This isn’t the DNC talking, it’s one manager at the DNC, giving her personal preference to people she expected not to tell anyone. Yes,the DNC is liable for her behavior on the job, at least if it doesn’t correct her as soon as it hears about it, but let’s not go off half-cocked as if this were the DNC’s actual policy. There are plenty of managers at businesses like Walmart who express discriminatory views and expose the company to lawsuits; that doesn’t mean the company discriminates.

2. As far as I know, the proper authority to pursue this is not DOJ but EEOC. So stop blaming Sessions. And to bring suit the EEOC would have to find at least one straight cisgendered white male who applied to her for a job and was turned down.

Ever hear of the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ? They deal with all types of discrimination… or they did until an Obama appointee to run it specifically stated that civil rights laws didn’t apply to white straight Christian males.

Milhouse in reply to SDN. | November 6, 2017 at 4:42 pm

They don’t deal with employment discrimination, except against government entities, or to protect military servicemen.

Seems like a case for the EEOP if Ms. Leader is not promptly fired and the DNC does not repudiate her email.

Clearly the DNC must be subject to strict scrutiny and affirmative action and forced to hire those of whom they have discriminated against in large numbers.

Sure, putting this in an email was dumb. When will adults learn that “work” emails are not your property and if (when) you write something ignorant simeone might use it to make you look, well. . .ignorant.

Personally I’m not bothered by this. I’ve been with enough organizations to know that oftentimes hiring supervisors have a preference. Maybe they shouldn’t but they do.

That the DNC is hiring on color and gender, rather than best qualified, seems like good news for their opponents.
