Dartmouth Profs Investigated By Five Law Enforcement Agencies For Sexual Misconduct

Five law enforcement agencies are investigating three Dartmouth College professors regarding sexual misconduct allegations, authorities announced Tuesday.

Human relations professor Todd Heatherton, psychological and brain services professors Bill Kelley and Paul Whalen are under investigation, reported The New York Times. Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire’s attorney general, is one of the parties investigating the professors.

“It is important to remember that investigations are ongoing, with no official findings yet produced. However, we take these allegations very seriously and are pursuing our own independent investigations in coordination with law enforcement officials,” said Dartmouth president Phil Hanlon, condemning sexual harassment and misconduct in an email to the campus community.
