‘House of Cards’ Production Suspended Indefinitely After Spacey Allegations

Allegations surfaced Sunday that ‘House of Cards’ star Kevin Spacey made inappropriate sexual advances towards a 14-year-old boy some thirty years ago.

Monday, Netflix issued a statement saying they were “deeply disturbed” by the allegations and that season six of the hit show, currently in production, would be its last.

Less than 48 hours after the allegations were published and Netflix is indefinitely suspending production of the last season of ‘House of Cards’.

Production on the sixth and final season of “House of Cards” has been suspended indefinitely – two days after sexual harassment allegations surfaced against Kevin Spacey.“[Media Rights Capital] and Netflix have decided to suspend production on House of Cards season six, until further notice, to give us time to review the current situation and to address any concerns of our cast and crew,” the two companies said Tuesday in a joint statement to Deadline.On Monday, Netflix said its popular political drama would end after the upcoming sixth season, which began production only a few weeks ago in Baltimore.The season was set to premiere in 2018.
