California State Long Beach Seeks Prof for New ‘Transgender Studies’ Program

The mad rush is on to create another liberal “studies” program. The school certainly seems excited about it.

The Daily Caller reported:

HELP WANTED: Taxpayer-Funded University Aggressively Staffing New ‘Transgender Studies’ Program

The department of women’s, gender and sexuality studies at California State University, Long Beach, is currently seeking to hire a professor who will teach courses focused on “transgender studies,” “trans feminism” and “gender variant theories.”

This new “assistant professor of trans studies” at the taxpayer-funded school will teach several classes including “Introduction to Queer Studies,” “Queering Gender” and “Gender, Race, Sex and the Body,” according to a Cal State Long Beach job posting.

The new professor will also be in charge of developing classes and coursework in the exciting new fields of “transgender studies, feminist transnationalism, trans feminism, gender variant theories and transmigration.”

To make sure that the new professor has politically correct views, Cal State Long Beach will require all applicants to submit a statement about “experiences, successes and challenges in working with a diverse student population” — “approximately one page, single-spaced.”

The words “trans,” “transgender,” “trans feminism,” “transmigration” and “transnationalism” are mentioned a total of 14 times in the job posting.
