Scarborough: Pence Should Tell Trump ‘I’m Walking’ If Set Up to ‘Lie’ Again

Scarborough: Pence Should Tell Trump ‘I’m Walking’ If Set Up to ‘Lie’ Again

Scarborough: Pence “is either a sucker and a dupe for Donald Trump . . . or he’s a liar. There is no middle ground.”

Joe Scarborough has painted a no-win portrait of VP Pence. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough said that Vice-President Pence “is either a sucker and a dupe for Donald Trump . . . or he’s a liar. There is no middle ground.”

Giving Pence the dubious benefit of the doubt, Scarborough advised, “if it is the first, I think it’s about time for Mike Pence to go to Donald Trump and say, as I think most of us would, if you set me up to be your liar again, I’m walking.

Scarborough was alluding, among other matters, to Pence’s statements about when he learned of Michael Flynn’s ties to Turkey, and Pence having made a statement suggesting that President Trump made his decision to fire FBI Director Comey based on the memo prepared by Deputy AG Rosenstein. The president subsequently stated that before receiving the Rosenstein memo, he had already decided to fire Comey in any case.

Note: Scarborough was at pains to point out how much he personally likes Pence, before proceeding to paint him as a sucker or a liar. If someone’s going to wallop me that way, I’d prefer they dispense with the niceties.

Note segundo: When Joe makes a verbal stumble and speaks of “the firing of Donald Trump,” Bob Woodward jocularly interjects. A none-too-pleased Scarborough was temporarily thrown off kilter, but then resumed his indictment of Pence.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: We are faced with two options, with Mike Pence, a man I’ve known for a long time, a man I’ve served with, a man that I like very much personally, like his family very much personally. But as it pertains to Michael Flynn, as it pertains to Rod Rosenstein and the firing of Donald Trump, as it pertains to more and more things —

BOB WOODWARD: The firing of Donald Trump!

JOE: Yeah. Uh, uh, Mike Pence, Vice-president of the United States, is either a sucker and a dupe for Donald Trump, is being set up that way to go out and lie and lie and lie again, or he’s a liar. There is no middle ground. And if it is the first, I think it’s about time for Mike Pence to go to Donald Trump and say, as I think most of us would, if you set me up to be your liar again, I’m walking.

Dem Leadership Suddenly Trying to Squelch Impeachment Talk

Have you looked at the stock market in the last couple of days ?
Well, millions of retired seniors have … and they don’t want Democrats making America poor again.

From the left, “We’ve weakened Trump, let the attacks on Pence commence.”

I hope nobody would disagree that the administration has a serious internal communications and messaging coordination problem.

I also hope that Pence will not walk, for the good of the country. He has other options.

Rags, please imagine a country where the media doesn’t try, on a minute-by-minute basis, to destroy any message attempted to be delivered by this administration. Trump is not perfect. But what would you have? Hillary? Please!!! Things would be a whole lot more ‘normal’ for this early administration if we didn’t have the media, the left, Hollywood, etc. doing their dirty work.

Ragspierre in reply to Helen. | May 19, 2017 at 9:53 am

“T-rump is not perfect.” Nobody demands that.

“What do you want, Hillary?” THAT is a terrible straw-man.

Do you agree that the administration has an OBVIOUS, OBJECTIVE internal communications problem?

Do you agree that it has a messaging coordination problem?

Both are very tractable, and neither requires “perfection”.

Helen in reply to Ragspierre. | May 19, 2017 at 10:06 am

I don’t think referencing Hillary is a straw man at all, it was the alternative, no?

I do know that this administration is in its early days and not above making some mistakes, but the mistakes are exaggerated by all the factors I previously mentioned. Obama should have had to deal with such scrutiny!

If I agree with you, Rags, will you then ‘be quiet’ with your apparently incessant need to always be right?

starride in reply to Ragspierre. | May 19, 2017 at 10:57 am

“What do you want, Hillary?” THAT is a terrible straw-man.

Was there any other alternative last November, I don’t remember any so how is it a straw man?

Do you agree that the administration has an OBVIOUS, OBJECTIVE internal communications problem?

Do you agree that it has a messaging coordination problem?

Both are very tractable, and neither requires “perfection”.

        YES,YES and YES

But again, I am 50, and in my memory I have never seen a president sitting or otherwise continuously slammed like our present one. Sorry Rags you have done your share of it as well.

While I may not like him personally, while I may not like everything he stands for. You wont hear me slam him like all the left the MSM, and the #nevertrump’ers have (That includes you Rags)

I still voted for him because the alternative was much much worse. And in truth I think he has the ability to fix some of the things that are destroying main street usa.

I still respect the office and respect that the man got elected. I gave it to Obama and I expect it to be given to Trump as well.

Anything less is just showing how much of an a$$ you are.

“Do you agree that the administration has an OBVIOUS, OBJECTIVE internal communications problem?

        NO and NO.

What the administration has is an R behind their names so EVERYTHING they say is dissected and spun for maximum effect. In fact if you look at the statements of Pence and Trump they aren’t necessarily saying something different, they are from different perspectives. For instance the Comey firing. It is very feasible that Trump planned on firing him all along. The DOJ memo gave him the cover he needed for it to not appear political. Pence wasn’t wrong in stating that the memo was the reason for the firing and Trump wasn’t saying something different when he said he planned on firing him all along. What Trump said about Comey is true of many managers when planning to let someone go, its all about the timing.

As a side note Bush was treated the same way, especially before Sept 11, 2001. After that date the MSM was forced to get behind Bush for a time.

Scarborough is nothing but another Enemy Propagandist. The Mainstream Media is nothing but the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. They are an active part of the Democrat coup attempt. They are just like Pravda and Izvestia. The Völkischer Beobachter was more balanced. Goebbels would be so proud. His Big Lie continues to work.

Believe nothing said by the Democratic Press, except maybe baseball scores. They haven’t figured out how to politicize them … yet.

Leave it to this sap (Scarborough) to play the fool and the tool. He and his equally idiotic sidekick, Mika, are buffoons. Scarborough has been a fool since he was in high school

Joe Scarborough: Voted by his high school senior class as “Most Likely To Be Told To Just STFU.”

The story seems to be about a person named Flynn — a matter too esoteric, inconsequential and contrived for me to worry about in the least. It’s strictly for connoisseurs and busybodies like Scarborough.

I can’t stand him either.Michael Savage says Scarborough looks like the banjo player in ‘Deliverance’ The only reason I come to this page is to see M.F. smack down the potty mouths every now and again.

Ragspierre in reply to Saratoga. | May 19, 2017 at 9:58 am

IF Savage says that, he stole it from Mark Levin.

Ad hominem is all you…and most all of the posters here….can gin up.

    Sad…

Saratoga in reply to Ragspierre. | May 19, 2017 at 10:07 am

Sad? You stole that from President Trump.’Old Yeller’ steals his stuff from The Conservative Treehouse, not at all surprised you’re a fan LOL.Ya, that’s right I said it.

Chew toy thinks he rates any effort beyond batting him against the wall.

      Squeak, chew toy, squeak!

Why, oh why, do you waste daily bandwidth talking about these Schmucks? Nobody gives a s**t about what blather came out of Joe Scarborough’s mouth this morning.

Mark Finkelstein in reply to Wisewerds. | May 19, 2017 at 10:38 am

With respect, I disagree. Morning Joe is the most watched, most influential morning cable show among DC political and media elites.

I believe that what they say frequently reflects current thinking in those circles, and is therefore useful to be informed about.

Mark, I appreciate you watching it for us, because I can’t start my day anymore watching it. It truly disgusts me, the entitled, condescending, arrogant nature of the discussions, preaching to the choir, odd senses of humor, and everyone (mostly Joe, her husband-to-be) talking over Mika as she tries to segue into the next segment. But thanks again for letting us know what these very dark creatures are up to.

Why would any non moron listen to anything Scarborough has to say. He really is a nothing.

My, Scarborough is a dainty fellow, isn’t he? Not that there’s anything wrong with that … but he assumes that everyone else in Washington politics should be dainty, too. And that’s weird.

Just saw a video of Carl Bernstein saying Trump is covering up for a crime. It would be nice if he had some evidence. Just a smidgen of proof. It doesn’t matter there is nothing. Bernstein and his ilk will go on like they have something.

clintack in reply to Jackie. | May 19, 2017 at 12:31 pm

Heck, forget evidence, I’d like to hear them actually spell out what crime they think Trump has actually committed.

Of course the flip side of all this could be that even the media realises they haven’t touched Trump so now they are going after the VP.

Anyway, anyone want to place bets on what Monday mornings scandal will be? 🙂

And how ridiculous and disgusting is that?

Influential Mika and her mitt Joe lol lol lol lol lol

Joe Scarborough should tell MSNBC “I’m walking” if set up to “lie” again. As most of us would… right Joe?

Joe is either a sucker and a dupe or a liar.

Generally, I’ve found when somebody makes a statement with a ‘But’ in the middle, what comes first is a sweet lie designed to make the speaker sound reasonable and honest, and what comes after the ‘But’ is the bitter hatred the speaker honestly holds. Let’s see how this holds:

The Lie:
JOE SCARBOROUGH: We are faced with two options, with Mike Pence, a man I’ve known for a long time, a man I’ve served with, a man that I like very much personally, like his family very much personally.

The But:

The Bitter Hate: …as it pertains to Michael Flynn, as it pertains to Rod Rosenstein and the firing of Donald Trump, as it pertains to more and more things…Mike Pence, Vice-president of the United States, is either a sucker and a dupe for Donald Trump, is being set up that way to go out and lie and lie and lie again, or he’s a liar.

Yep, it fits.

One of the reasons I voted for Trump was the VP selection.

Hillary’s health was so-so and Kaine would have been the next in line. Yikes.

And, if they got Trump on something, then Pence is in line for the job. And, Pence appears to be the adult in the room. I like that he is active in meetings and committees. At least, he seems to be more active than whatever Biden did. Wasn’t Biden supposed to cure cancer by committee or something?

The choice was a no-brainer.

IMHO Pence has shown himself to be an opportunistic prevaricator.

Pelosi Schmelosi | May 19, 2017 at 3:29 pm

What Rags doesn’t realize – and it’s so amusing to see on a daily basis – is that he’s every bit the blowhard as the guy he calls T-rump.
Too funny

But with much less of a track record for success.

Take a minute off your ad hominem bullshit, and try to answer the question posed honestly.

Then you can explain how that comment was being a “blowhard” of any kind.

Or maybe you just attacked me out of virtue signalling to the rest of the cult?
