Was Cobb a racist? Dirty player?
Lately it seems that people scream racist or sexist to easily scram away from an argument or simply to ruin someone’s name. This tactic is not new, though. Author Charles Leerhsen made a video for PragerU to show how these tactics ruined the name of baseball legend Ty Cobb, who is known as a racist and dirty player. But is any of it true?
Evidence points to no. Cobb’s teammates respected him and he even pushed for blacks to play professional ball.
