Peak Ted Cruz at Jeff Sessions Confirmation Hearing

Peak Ted Cruz at Jeff Sessions Confirmation Hearing

Exposed Democrats hypocrisy and named names.

My favorite part of the confirmation hearings so far has been Ted Cruz’s statement opening his questioning of Attorney General Nominee Jeff Sessions.

It is some of the best 5 minutes of video I’ve seen in a long time, and reminds me of why I supported Cruz during the primaries. And would love to see him on the Supreme Court.

Cruz used his time to skewer the Democrats on the committee for their false posturing (transcript via Conservative Review and IJR):

“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”

* * *

“Senator Franken engaged you in a discussion that I think was intended to undermine your character and integrity. And in particular, Senator Franken suggested that you had somehow misrepresented your record.

It is unfortunate to see members of this body impugn the integrity of a fellow senator with whom we’ve served with for years. It is particular unfortunate when that attack is not backed up by the facts.”

Here’s how I reacted in real time:

Do not content yourself with reading the partial transcript. View the video, Cruz was magnificent!

Agreed, take the time to watch it’s worth it, if for nothing else when you realize how much fun he is having making Franken look like the in over his head fool he is.

nicely laid out

Justice Ted Cruz

Cruz missile – fire in the hole.

Cruz has the soul of a hardcore prosecutor. You’d never want to be on the other side of him in a courtroom.

(but sadly, it doesn’t make him very warm and fuzzy on the campaign trail)

A most excellent exchange! Both Cruz and Sessions explained why the rule of law is so important to our nation and the people’s confidence in our government. Our long eight year nightmare is over!

Sen. Cruz was the only Senator to go after the lying scum on that Senate panel. He tore into them in defense of his friend and fellow Senator. I know McConnell and Schumer would both like for him to leave the Senate. Maybe SCOTUS is in the works but I doubt it.

Great team, that Trump and Cruz.

There’s no one better working in public life.

It would be a sinking feeling of titanic proportions to enter a courtroom and see Cruz and Gowdy sitting in the prosecutor chairs.

I have always liked and admired the brass and wits of Ted Cruz. He is a special individual. Some of us “Wacko-birds” realize the MSM narrative of him is false but unfortunately, it gained traction to the masses.

Facts are stubborn things, they won’t go away. If we can’t have the Senator from Texas in the highest office (yet),I like him right where he is at; a thorn in both party’s sides in the most important deliberative body in the world.

The most refreshing video I’ve watched in awhile. I do wish he could have completed the circle with reference to Loretta Lynch’s dishonorable meeting with Bill Clinton on the tarmac.

Ted Cruz has always been superlative in the attack dog role. And, he would very likely have been a good President, at this time. However, he was attempting to run as an anti-establishment candidate against a candidate who had NO establishment ties at all and who was not a politician; Donald Trump.
