Former President Obama Supports National Temper Tantrums

Former President Obama Supports National Temper Tantrums

“Heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country.”

Less than two weeks into retirement and President Obama is already joining in on post-Obama fun.

In his first post-presidential announcement, Obama lauded protesters. “Citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake,” said Kevin Lewis, Obama spokesman.

From Politico:

Former President Barack Obama’s office released a statement Monday supporting the protests going on around the country, and speaking out against discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion, saying “American values are at stake.”

Kevin Lewis, spokesman for Obama in his post-presidency, said that Obama — who has been threading the balance between the tradition of presidents deferring to their successors and coming out against President Donald Trump on specific issues he considered core values — “is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country.”

It is Obama’s first statement since leaving the White House.

“Citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake,” Lewis said.

Lewis highlighted Obama’s past comments against a Muslim ban, but spoke about Trump’s executive order only indirectly.

“With regard to comparisons to President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, as we’ve heard before, the president fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion,” Lewis said.

Despite Politico’s reporting, it’s worth noting that:

1) There is no “Muslim ban”
2) No one is being discriminated against because of their faith or religion. Not even a little.

These next four years are going to be so.freaking.long if we have to hear from Mr. “get to the back of the bus” every time a few ill-informed protesters whip out their posterboard and markers.

Obama on today’s Quebec attack and murders:

“Crickets.”

Once a community organizer…always a community organizer.

In his case, “organize” = destruction of the community for one’s own agenda or personal benefit.

Beat me to the same comment, except an “organizer” implies upon the improvements of something, not the destruction of something. Agitator is a far better, and accurate, word.

MSO in reply to JOHN B. | January 30, 2017 at 6:25 pm

In all cases and all times; community organizers always destroy.

I always post Chicago murder stories to social media with the comment ” A community organized”.

Obama golfed while 500k Muslims killed each other. Need I say more.

I maaaaay have missed it, but I don’t recall Barracula being so laudatory when I was going to TEA party rallies.

I wonder how long before there are violent counter-protesters against the liberal globalists… And what about that big black turd called Obama, what gives him a free pass to be a rabble-rouser?

obama gets a free ride because he is a black muslim leftist.
He was resting until he saw that Hillary came out in support of the freaks, so he had to join in, as he and Hillary are contending in their minds for “leadership” of the democrats.
obama won’t be so slow to comment next time.

My guess is that the lazy bastard hasn’t moved from in front of his Xbox since Executive One dropped his ass off, so who’s ghost writing for him now?

DeBlasio stated that he would shield illegals who are caught driving while drunk, as long as there isn’t a significant impact (death?)

http://thehill.com/homenews/media/316796-deblasio-to-cnn-its-ok-to-shield-undocumented-drunk-drivers

So, if NYC gives these people a pass, does that mean that they are giving greater “rights” to non citizens than citizens?

I’m sure if I am caught driving under the influence as well as not having the proper registration, identification and insurance, I would be in trouble and would face tickets, loss of driving rights, re-education requirements, future increases in insurance rate and possible jail if it keeps happening.

Most people know of someone who has been hurt or killed by a drunk illegal driver.

FYI – Canada will probably deny your immigration to Canada if you have a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/index.asp

This link has a long list of what actions may make you inadmissible for entry, including health, financial, security risk, etc.

      Liz, you’re smarter than this.

Refugees are not held to the same criteria as regular immigrates.

Are they…??? (Think Cubans fleeing Cuber or Vietnamese boat people.)

A person seeking a visa may just want to come over for as a tourist, for education or a job or to live here and become a citizen. The Executive Action was suspending the visa program for seven countries on a temporary basis.

A refugee is escaping an area because of persecution – race, religion, social group, national origin or political opposition. To me, the key word is persecution and a healthy fear of death if you return to the country. If conditions change, then it is expected that the refugee will return to their homeland. Most refugees are sponsored by an organization, who agrees to support them for a period of time. I would still expect that basic background information and health status is obtained. There is probably some form of identification card for these people.

There is also another category of refugee – an asylum seeker. They are generally already in country. The Cubans generally fit into this category, if they met the “dry foot” criteria. I would expect that they also have to be checked out and are given an id showing their status.

An immigrant is a person who is applying for a visa to live and work in the US and should go through a more vigorous review of criminal and health records. There should be a reason for coming – getting a better job, education, but not just to get a bunch of freebies. They also have identification cards showing their status. But, they are not citizens even though they may be granted permission to stay for a long time. To become a citizen, there are be additional requirements including learning English, taking care of yourself financially, studying about America and agreeing to take the oath of citizenship (and no crossed fingers).

An illegal immigrant is a person who overstays the visa or comes into the country illegally through crossing the border. They have no documents showing permission to be in the country. They have not been checked out for health issues or criminal records or ability to live without support. They have jumped the line over all those people who are trying to move to the United States.

The article I referenced was DeBlasio making a statement about undocumented aliens or the illegal ones. The fact that he would shield them from ICE implies that the act of drunk driving as well as not having proper insurance, registration, license would be ignored. If that happened to me, I would face consequences. So, that is favored treatment.

Since Trudeau mentioned that he would take refugees, I checked the Canadian site. I posted the link for immigrants being excluded for convictions of impaired driving to compare similar classifications to the DeBlasio comments. The page on refugees also states that a health and security reviews will take place, but it does not specifically mention drunk driving.

For green card holders, there have been documented problems by the IG for lost or improper cards. To review a GC holder that is coming in from one of those seven countries is logical.

I heard that only 109 people were detained for additional review and most were cleared within a few hours. I think people have stood longer in TSA lines.

This has been a simplified explanation. The US website for immigration is very complex while the Canadian one is very easy to go through. My apologies to the Prof for the long post.

My mother was taken from her country by the Nazis since she was a nursing student – she was held against her will. After the war, she was given the options of staying in a displaced persons camp in Germany, getting a free ticket to Australia or be returned to live under Soviet control in her country.

She found a fourth choice in a handsome young lieutenant. She still had to go through a lot to get permission to marry my father and come to the US. She stopped speaking any language except English, became a citizen, and a good conservative.

She was also in fear of ever returning to her homeland.

        This is called a “filibuster”.

        It’s a non-responsive answer to a simple question.

starride in reply to Liz. | January 30, 2017 at 6:26 pm

Actually from experience, I can tell you that Canada will deny entry based solely on arrest record even when you have no convictions.

Of course that “child” would support constant temper tantrums. It’s the only skill he has.

Nobody is being denied their rights of free speech or assembly. Witness the “Women’s” March and the Pro-Life March, neither of which were denied permits for peaceful assembly. However, the most notable difference was the lack of violence at the Pro-Life March and the level of violence at the “Women’s” March. The First Amendment guarantees “the right of the people PEACEABLY” to assemble,” not the right to punch people in the throat, light their cars on fire, throw chairs through their windows, or destroy their personal property. Maybe this heartens his nibs, but I am heartened by the fact that he’s no longer in the WH.

My parents taught my siblings and me about the filth and evils of Communism. But the Communist Party USA has endorsed every Democrat candidate going back to the late 30’s–either not known, or overlooked by our citizens…why, I wonder? And yes, I believe omama has unlocked that Pandora’s/Communist/Marxist box.

Last month while browsing a store’s book section, I opened the biography of Dorothy Parker – “What Fresh Hell is This?”

Opening it randomly, the first page and passage my eye fell upon was this:

“In 1937 the Communist Party (USA) decided to form alliances with the Democrat Party.”

MaggotAtBroadAndWall | January 30, 2017 at 4:20 pm

The strategy seems to be to enrage the kooks so it becomes easy to justify obstructing Trump’s agenda. Politico reported today that Democrats plan to filibuster Trump’s SCOTUS pick – and they don’t even know who it is.

Gonna be a long two years to the 2018 mid-terms. Hopefully there are enough sane people left in the country to crush them three mid-terms in a row.

Surprise, surpri-i-i-ise !

One more way George W. was better president than Obozo.

I can not stand this fool. Please go away…

Who cares?

Seriously. Who gives a rat’s @@s?

Can we all just agree not to cover anything this numbskull says or does? If we don’t, then it’s our own bloody fault that he stays relevant.

He isn’t eve giving us a chance to forget him, jeez. No one will miss you if you don’t go away!

Well, if Obama is going to break another American tradition, and not keep his pie hole shut after leaving the presidency, then I feel free to break another American tradition, showing respect to a former president.

Obama isn’t American, he hates America, his birth certificate is evidently a provable fraud, and he spent millions to avoid having Americans see it.

He should have been impeached. Anything he says, my belief will be 180 degrees opposite, because unlike him, I was born in America, of American parents, and my Dad didn’t abandon me and confuse me about who and what I was.

I also wasn’t raised by commies, like Obama was.

I have a bone to pick with you Kemberlee. Your first sentence should read:

Less than two weeks into retirement and FORMER President Obama is already joining in on post-Obama fun.

Oh, and I forgot…. Obama changed immigration law via executive order his last week in office – NO WARNING — and hundreds of Cubans were caught off guard.

What a hypocritical, two-faced a@@, totally ENABLED by his fellow hypocrites and arrogant a@@es, the press.

Kiss my a@@!!!

Never lose sight of the fact that Obama did everything he could to advance the interests of the Muslim world, at the expense of the rest of the world, especially the US. This was in addition to doing everything that he could to destroy American society.

So pay close attention to everything that he says, and then do the exact opposite. That way lies success.

We made it eight years with this jackass in the drivers seat and he can’t stop the TRAIN!

A cross-dressing traitor, just like his love fantasy, Bradley Manning.

If I was Obama, well I would not want to be but IF I had to be, I would shut my pie hole as President Trump will release the goods on you. How about President Trump releasing all your records and transcripts, Barrakie? How about the new Administration investigating you on all the illegal and questionable crap you have ever pulled and make it public? So much so that you have to go into hiding and live like a hermit.

How about that Barrakie? I thought not so shut your pie hole you miserable piece of excrement.

W.
RAR!

Hey, Obama, your social justice adventurism is a first-order cause of catastrophic anthropogenic climate change… and refugee crises.

Our national ‘herpes’ is back.
