It’s the time of year for the annual naming of TIME magazine’s Person of the Year. This year, the legacy publication selected President-elect, Donald Trump.

I’m pretty sure “President of the Divided States of America” is not a compliment. I’d love to read the actual article on the pick (okay, not really, but it must be a masterpiece of backhanded compliments).

Of course if it was the other way around with Her Royal Hagness at the helm the heading would have been completely different and utterly flattering!

    The cover article is by Michael Scherer and is very ugly. No journalistic balance at all. Then there is a hagiographic article about Hillary Clinton by a hack named Alter. It’s probably the article they would have published as the cover article if HRC had been named Person of the Year.

Donald J. Trump is, indeed, Man of the Year where it counts the most, in the eyes of millions upon millions of Americans. As for the rag-mag that is shell of its former self, even if the article was complimentary I don’t know that I would consider it an honor.
